Description

Locanda is a small and welcoming environment, recently restored and runned by the host family welcoming you in this place
situated by the Lido of Stresa. Close to the hotel, in the Lido area, and Mottarone mountain (1500mt.) by car. Public
or private boats to Borromée isles. The train station is 200
mt. far whereas the village centre is reachable by walking
by the lake-side in a few minutes. It's composed by 16 rooms, with bathrooms and
showers most of them have balconies, Satellite TV, telephone, Internet WI/FI and it also has private car- parking facilities (parking 5 € a day).

Courteous and professional staff, they made us feel at home, kind they endeavored to make us enjoy our vacation to the fullest. While some restaurant managers and especially some ferry operators were rude and some really rude, the hotel staff was really kind. Good breakfast and excellent hotel location, practically very close to both the center and the ferry docks.

The staff is courteous and helpful. The place is located a short distance from the lake, the railway, the historic center, the pier, and the Borromean Islands, so in a strategic position. They offer a generous breakfast with fresh fruit every day, with the option of an international breakfast. Additionally, they have internal parking. The rooms are simple but well maintained and clean. The mattresses are comfortable. Any problems and malfunctions are promptly resolved.

Decent structure if passing through Stresa with no high expectations, the triple room was a bit small with the bare minimum, the rather old air conditioner was quite noisy and there was no minibar in the room, however, the girl who welcomed us was kind enough to allow us to use the kitchen fridge on the ground floor. Despite the availability of private parking being indicated during booking, we found out that it was paid and also full and unavailable on site, we were lucky to find parking nearby. Despite the not excellent value for money for what was offered, La Locanda still remains one of the most affordable solutions if you want to visit Stresa, the guys running it are kind and helpful.

It sounds like I am exaggerating about La Locanda but I truly am not. The staff were lovely, the room was immaculately cleaned every day. The town and lake side was only a few minutes walk away. With the benefit of on site secure parking. I am sure I will be back.

La Locanda, with an excellent host Daniele, is a very charming and well-located property in Stresa. The hotel, with its own parking lot, is a short walk to the ferry stop to go to the Borromeo Islands, as well as a short walk to the restaurant area and the train station.

We visited Lake Maggiore by motorcycle and stayed two nights in Stresa. In this hotel, we found ourselves well in all aspects. About 10/15 minutes walk from the center and close to the pier for the Borromean Islands. Good reception, simple but spacious and clean room. We also liked the breakfast. Internal parking 5 euros per day for cars and 3 euros for motorcycles.

The La Locanda hotel offers good value for money for mid-budget travelers, in an environment where luxury hotels and palaces dominate. We chose a standard room on the top floor (courtyard building), simple and spacious. Stresa is between the lakeside road and the railway line, so you can hear cars and trains at night (sensitive people may be bothered). The hotel is in a nice quiet street, 10 minutes from the boats and 15 minutes from the city center. Daniele is really friendly and helpful. We enjoyed our stay during this Covid-19 period.

3 days of absolute relaxation, surrounded by nature and silence, flowers and plants. Very close to the ferry dock and the lakeside, with a nice walk you can reach the city center. The structure is comfortable, clean, welcoming, small enough to have a family dimension. Spectacular breakfast. I recommend it to everyone.

We recommend staying at this quiet hotel, with clean and cozy rooms. The staff is very kind and helpful, the breakfast is very good and plentiful. In 5 minutes on foot you reach the little square from which boats to the Borromean islands and the cable car to Mottarone depart. Thanks again to Daniele for the pleasant stay!

The hotel has slightly dated furnishings but livable and clean spaces. It is located in a quiet area of Stresa near the docks for the islands, the cable car to Mottarone, and the train station, and has internal paid parking. The breakfast is reasonably varied in terms of sweet items but lacks savory foods (cold cuts, eggs, cheeses). The managers are very kind and helpful. Nearby there is a supermarket and a restaurant. I would definitely come back.

The welcome is excellent, the rooms are clean and comfortable. The hotel is close to the Port of Carciano and the departure point of the cable car to Mottarone (5 minutes). It takes less than 15 minutes on foot to reach the center of Stresa (about 1 km). This allows for a short digestive walk after dinner. The main improvement that could be made would be to equip the windows with mosquito nets, so that you can leave the windows open without letting insects in at night. In any case, we will happily return to La Locanda on our next visit to Stresa.

Nice property in a quiet area a short walk from the center and from the Lido boarding for the islands and for Mottarone. Quiet room, essential furnishings, bathroom with bidet and shower. Friendly and welcoming staff. Good location and the city center is reachable in ten minutes on foot. Being slightly set back from the road, it is quite peaceful. There is also the possibility of parking for cars. Nearby, there is the departure point for boats to the islands and the cable car.

A wonderful family run hotel. Well appointed and fantastically clean rooms with balconies and very comfortable beds. Helpful managers and staff. 15 to 20 minutes walk to town centre along the water-front - we enjoyed this walk particularly after a meal in town this but some people might prefer to be nearer to town. Close to the station and the Carciano ferry terminal and cable car station. Alibus from Malpensa airport stop nearby.

Bon hôtel, calme, situé près de l'embarcadère pour les iles Borromées et du téléphérique. L'accueil, en francais, est très bon et le petit déjeuner correct. La chambre est assez grande et profite d'un petit balcon. A pieds, le centre ville ou se trouve l'autre embarcadère et les principaux restaurants est un peu loin mais je l'ai fait sans problème.

Abbiamo soggiornato 3 giorni in questo B&B. posizione strategica sia per i monti che per le isole, vicinissimo al lungolago e a 5 min dal centro. una 10 di minuti. dalla villa Pallavicino. Gestori cordiali, colazione a noi è piaciuta, non manca niente (solo dolce). I complimenti faccio però per la pulizia, una delle poche volte anche essendo in un 2 stelle era tutto Pulito! Lenzuola, asciugamani, bagno. complimenti veramente!È stata una bella scoperta!

This is a well-run and managed bed and breakfast. It's a fair, but pleasant hike into the center of town to the ferries and restaurants. Very close to the train station and you can hear them run in the distance. Being away from town center means it's quiet and you stroll into town burns off the carbs from the delicious pasta and pizzas you'll be eating. Rooms and baths are small in the European style but fine if you plan to be active and not spend a lot of time in your room. Beds were made up and cleaning was done each day and little candies put on bedside table. Nice continental breakfast and a machine to make cafe, cappuccino, hot water for tea, yogurt, several juices on offer as well as cereal, brioches, rolls, cake and fresh fruit. A good value for the money in pricey Stresa.

Etablissement simple mais bien. Chambres spacieuses sans luxe mais avec le stricte nécessaire. Propre avec Balcon tv, Wi Fi. Peut être inclure le prix de 5 Euros dans le prix de la chambre. Patrons très sympa discret, mais très efficace flexible et serviable concernant les restaurants de Stresa les golfs a proximité Ca fait la deuxième année que nous y venons et nous reviendrons a La Locanda. Ho soggiornato con la mia famiglia presso la struttura dal 08 al 13 Agosto 2016, ci siamo trovati bene, a piedi in pochi minuti si raggiunge il centro di Stresa e la zona degli imbarchi per le isole percorrendo la parte del lungolago più bella, comodo il parcheggio auto interno a costo abbordabilissimo, unico neo la vicinanza della ferrovia di contro si raggiunge la stazione ferroviaria a piedi in pochi minuti (comodo per raggiungere Domodossola e fare il tour della Valle Vigezzo che consiglio). In conclusione ottimo rapporto qualità/prezzo. Francesco.

La Locanda è un posto carino, in cui domina la calma, e comodo per muoversi a piedi, in auto o moto e per la sua posizione vicino al lago, alla stazione e al molo di Carciano (sul lido di Stresa). Il molo di Carciano è secondo me più comodo per spostarsi sul lago perché li si trovano: il servizio di navigazione pulico, i motoscafisti e la funivia per Montarone. Il personale della struttura è ok e per essere un due stelle è veramente niente male.

Avete lasciato la camera in uno stato pietoso. Il personale freddo e distaccato è semplicemente perché avevamo capito con chi avevamo a che fare! La nostra struttura è ristrutturata e imbiancata ad ogni stagione. Per la questione pulizia lascio la parola ad altre recensioni più veritiere della sua. Abbiamo alloggiato in questa struttura il primo weekend di ottobre in una stanza matrimoniale economy. Siamo stati molto bene. Nonostante fossimo al piano terra e avesse piovuto durante il giorno e tutta la notte non abbiamo avuto problemi di umidità perché i termosifoni erano già accesi. La posizione è ottima. Siamo arrivati dalla stazione dei treni a 6 minuti a piedi. La partenza delle barche per le isole è vicinissima e il centro di Stresa facilmente raggiungibile facendo una passeggiata lungo la riva del lago. I gestori sono stati molto disponibili a dare tutte le informazioni. Molto carina la sala colazioni. Familiare e con soffitto con travi di legno a vista. La camera era economy e dava sul parcheggio. Se gradita maggiore tranquillità ci sono le camere con balcone ai piani superiori.

Abbiamo soggiornato alla Locanda. Ottima posizione a 5 minuti a piedi dalla Funivia e dalla partenza dei motoscafi per le isole e a 10 minuti dal centro storico di Stresa. Parcheggio interno nel cortile della struttura, colazione molto abbondante. Sicuramente ci torneremo.
