About three hundred meters away, you'll find a large supermarket with a wide selection of food and drinks, including international ones. Two hundred meters away, you can purchase Asian products in a specialty shop. In the morning, Piazza Marconi offers vegetables, fruit, cheeses, cured meats, meat, and local produce. Via San Lorenzo, which leads off Piazza Marconi, is dedicated to fresh pasta and other delicious food and wine specialties. Parallel to Via San Lorenzo is Corso Roma, the city's main street for fashion and entertainment.

By car, you can visit the beautiful hills of Monferrato and Langhe-Roero, with their charming villages and castles. Just over an hour's drive away is Lake Orta, with the island of San Giulio and the Basilica. Just a short distance from Alessandria is Palazzo Marengo, dedicated to Napoleon Bonaparte, who had strong ties to this city, where he won the Battle of Marengo against the Austrians in 1800.
