Casa Mariuccia is a historical residence that was built by the Visconti marquises in the 1400s. It is located in the heart of the old village of Massino Visconti, with the Mount San Salvatore behind it, and it overlooks Lake Maggiore like a blossoming balcony.

Massino Visconti is a village located at an altitude of approximately 460 meters above sea level. It boasts a combination of enchanting ingredients, including being a fiefdom and a holiday spot for the Visconti family. The village is nestled between Mount San Salvatore, where the Hermitage of the Benedictines is located, and Lake Maggiore, resembling a blooming balcony overlooking the lake.

Thanks to its sunny location, Massino Visconti enjoys a particularly pleasant climate that promotes the blossoming of azaleas, camellias, and rhododendrons. Lakes, islands, mountains, characteristic towns, and both natural and man-made wonders await discovery.

Visitors can explore or take advantage of golf courses such as the Des Iles Borromees and Alpino, take a stroll along the lakeside promenade of Stresa, attend the musical weeks, visit the zoological garden of Villa Pallavicino, check out the botanical garden of Villa Taranto in Pallanza, go shopping in Arona, hike to the Monte Rosa and the Toce waterfall in Val d'Ossola, and finally, explore the picturesque San Giulio Island in Orta.

A place absolutely recommended both as a base for touring Lake Maggiore, and if you want to spend a week relaxing by taking advantage of the pool and the tranquility of the B&B. We loved both the location (away from traffic and with a beautiful view) and the kindness of the owners who welcomed and pampered us. Definitely worth going back, with family and without.
