Beschreibung

Cà d’Mate is an ancient “house-fortress” in Ossola stone dating back to 1598; 400 years later, in 1998 was fully restored. The house has a cellar, where today valuable Ossola’s wines are aged; a ground floor, where you’ll be welcomed by the hospitable Uncle Remo; the first floor, where you’ll find a tasting room and, finally, the second floor where we got three rooms, two doubles and one single, which we take the names of the three most important Ossolan wines: Prünent, Tarlap and Neouv Bruschett (now Ossolanum).

Excellent B&B, beautiful view, very kind hosts. I went there mainly to see the event at Stones Retro Natura nearby, but unfortunately it was canceled due to rain. I hope I can return next year. It's a pity that breakfast is not included.

Everything perfect. Uncle Remo is a lovely person, I felt like I was at home. The only downside is the restaurant attached to the bed and breakfast, very nice but a bit pricey, very kind staff.

Well-maintained structure and very particular in the arrangement of rooms and furnishings. Excellent cleanliness and perfect logistics for Val Formazza. Convenient parking and guaranteed silence.

We booked last minute with the idea of spending a few days skiing in Val d'Ossola. Despite the delay, we received confirmation at the B&B Ca d'Matè and we were very lucky. In fact, the structure proved to be excellent and also the welcome from the managers Remo and Fernanda is definitely noteworthy, which is not always a given in the valley. It was a real pleasure to meet them and we plan to visit them again soon. The information about the structure on the website is absolutely correct.
