Description

Bricco Aivè is an old Italian red brick house in Costigliole d'Asti, Piemonte, the capital of Barbera Wine and the center of the truffle region. Our house (completely no-smoking both inside and outside) sits on a hill with beautiful views over the vineyards. Piemonte was recently named by Lonely Planet as the world's number-one region to visit.

We use 100 per cent renewable energy (photovoltaic/solar and 100 per cent renewable electricity provider) and provide waste separation and composting.

For those who want breakfast, there are options to start the day with natural and, above all, balanced products. We serve a vegetarian or vegan breakfast of oatmeal with a vegetable drink (soya or oats) and fresh fruit, bread and jam, vegetable-based spread and pancakes. If the guest wishes, we can of course also provide croissants and cheese or organic eggs.

We are Gerardo and Gabriel. After many years living abroad in Spain, France, and Germany, we chose in 2024 to slow down and begin a new chapter in the heart of the Barbera and Moscato vineyards. Surrounded by nature and gentle hills, we lovingly restored a two-hundred-year-old farmhouse, preserving its original character and rural soul.

We invite our guests to slow down with us, to enjoy the peace and quiet of the countryside, reconnect with nature, and discover the authentic rhythms, flavors, and traditions of rural life.

Costigliole d'Asti is located in the heart of Piedmont and is part of the Monferrato region, known for its beautiful hills planted with vineyards and hazelnut groves and a UNESCO World Heritage Site since 2014. In Costigliole you will find numerous wine producers, restaurants, wine bars, walking and cycling routes and much more to create beautiful memories of your stay.
Within a 20-minute drive are major cities such as Alba and Asti, Canelli, known for its underground wine cathedrals, Nizza Monferrato with its antique market, world-famous villages such as Neive and Barbaresco, and picturesque hamlets such as Santo Stefano Belbo, Castagnole delle Lanze and Agliano Terme. You could also spend a day in Turin, which is a 50-minute drive from Bricco Aivè, the first capital of Italy.

The place is wonderful, immersed in an oasis among the vineyards of Asti. The hosts welcomed us perfectly with a drink and welcome snacks, they are welcoming, friendly, very kind and helpful… perfect! The breakfast is a luxury, as is the structure! I recommend trying the aperitif and their wines, which really seem like pure grape juice!
