Description

The house is situated in the centre of Villar Pellice at 664 meters above sea level, last but one village in the omonymous valley in the northern Cottian Alps. It is less than an hour's drive from Turin cradle of the Piedmontese baroque that with the candidature of the olympic games underwent an imposing urban renovation letting the visitor discover its treasures in the best way. It ‘s possible to reach the Ligurian sea and the Costa Azzurra in an hour and a half and in less than an hour the ski slopes belonging to the skiing Sestriere area.

The history of the Waldesian people is only one of the reasons why it is interesting to visit us: the important G.T.A. itineraries (big crossing of the Alps) across paths, alpine pastures and hamlets offer the possibility to discover a corner of Piedmont in which the work done by its people was able to preserve it.

It's possible to reach France on foot where you can find the wonderful Queyras park.

Nearby there are some sites of remarkable cultural historical interest.

At 200 metres there is the Ecomuseum of Industrial Archeology E. Crumière situated in a stone building built at the end of the nineteenth century obtained from the historical part of the former still working felt factory.

The structure is a eighteenth-century mountain house in the centre of the village close to all services (bus-stop, surgery, post-office, bank, shops) with private garden, peaceful and quiet ideal to spend relaxing week-end to discover the district, work stay and families.

The Municipality of Villar Pellice is less than an hour's drive from Turin and is located in the heart of the Valleys of the Waldensians, an area of historical, naturalistic, and religious tourism interest.

Situated in one of the valleys of the Cozie Alps, the area allows both mountain-related sports activities and naturalistic hiking and wildlife observation. The area is rich in alpine refuges and sports facilities such as the famous Palazzo del Ghiaccio in Torre Pellice, home to the renowned hockey team.

10 Points are almost too few for Claudio and his accommodation. A fantastic location and a very warm host. Thank you Claudio. Nearby in the village, you can walk to a baker, a small grocery store, a bar, two restaurants and even a pharmacy - although Villar Pellice is a very small and cozy place. A few kilometers away is the city of Torre Pellice and beautiful hiking areas. Claudio provides tips on this. The breakfast was simply typically Italian. There were also plenty of fresh fruits. Overall, a really great stay.

The structure is housed in a traditional house near the town center. The common areas are well-kept, as well as the rooms. I had a very small room, but I felt comfortable because nothing was missing as every corner was exploited. Claudio, the host, is very courteous and will be happy to help you appreciate the attractions of the valley.

The three weeks at Claudio's were simply wonderful! With the attic, I practically had a small apartment to myself and also a parking space in the garage for a more than fair price. The breakfast was extremely abundant and included, among other things, homemade jam, honey, cakes, and berries from the garden. Host Claudio is an incredibly attentive, helpful, and warm person who fulfills every wish and provides helpful tips for restaurants, hikes, or other activities. The whole house, in a super central location, is very lovingly decorated in the local style and has a garden at the front and a large wooden balcony with a table and hammock, from which you have a wonderful view of the other side of the river and the mountains. I highly recommend a stay at Claudio's; I myself felt at home after a short time and can't wait to come back!

Characteristic, welcoming and spacious environment. Excellent cleanliness and delicious breakfast with homemade or locally sourced products. I felt very well during my stay at the B&B La Meridiana. The owner, Claudio, is very kind and gives you helpful tips if you like. From my little single room, I had a breathtaking view of the mountains. There is also a very nice balcony, where you can always find shade and a breath of wind, perhaps with a glass of wine in the evening. On the street, you can always find a free place for your car (between 0 and 200 meters away). Nearby, you can find a little supermarket, pizzeria, etc. When I visit Villar Pellice again, I will make a reservation at the B&B La Meridiana.
