Description
Villa Margherita - an antique villa of great nobility, an authentic historic residence with charm built in the early 20th century - is located a few kilometers from the Borromeo Gulf along the area of parks, historic residences and gardens that mark a large part of the Piedmontese shore; this landscape has also been declared of public interest and protected by specific laws. The ideal place for your stay on the shores of Lake Maggiore.
All spacious rooms furnished with antique furniture are equipped with a private bathroom or shower.
Breakfast is served in the shaded park, adorned with flowers and the songs of seasonal birds, or in the veranda overlooking the garden. Guests can also enjoy a large veranda with spaces for reading, conversation, snacks, furnished with armchairs and sofas, a fridge for drinks or food. Secure parking is available. A public beach, swimming pool and tennis courts are just a few minutes away.
In order to respect the environment, we have installed solar panels for hot water.

Our villa, having maintained its original construction features, is not suitable for people with mobility difficulties as the rooms are located on the first and second floors and there is no elevator. The villa, built by the Cabella family of Genoa, has belonged to the Visentini family since 1951.
Margherita and Giovanni started the hospitality business for the numerous tourists who crowded the shores of Lake Maggiore in the immediate post-war period, with a series of restoration and improvement works to make the property more welcoming and suitable for travelers' needs.
Since 2002, Raffaelo has continued the hospitality business with renewed commitment, trying to preserve the charm of the twentieth-century lake residence and the originality of the villa and its furnishings. He is helped during the summer by his brother Alfredo and his wife Tina.
Raffaelo is also an architect with expertise in the restoration of architectural assets of particular historical and artistic value (for example, the restoration of the Church of San Vittore on the Isola dei Pescatori, the Oratory of the Madonna della Neve in Otra, and the Parish Church of San Martino in Lesa).

Thank you Raffaelo for another wonderful holiday at Villa Margherita- a perfect and peaceful setting. Breakfast prepared with great care and served in the garden was so lovely, and the homemade peach jam, delicious! Suggestions about excursions to places to visit much appreciated. Staying at B&B Villa Margherita was a wonderful experience.
This is mainly due to our host Raffael who overcame the language barrier and made a wonderful connection based on his human pleasantness. The Villa and garden has a historic quality.
I hope that Raffael will continue maintaining this wonderful place.

Lovely villa in the park, away from the street and from the traffic noise! It feels enchanted to find all the charm of the residence of the beginning twentieth century. Our room had a beautiful terrace, shame we were in winter otherwise we would have been in the evening to drink and to relax. The interior is furnished with antique furniture really. Beautiful ceramic tiles of the fireplace lounge. Raffaelo was really kind and helpful in giving us directions about what to visit in the winter. Shame on Lake Maggiore's major attractions are closed until next spring! We recommend dinner Isola dei Pescatori with boat made available by the owner of the restaurant who advised Raffaelo there. Really romantic.

Excellent two night stay at Villa Margherita. Lovely old house with a beautiful garden. Very comfortable room, although the floors and bed were very squeaky. Good breakfast. Two excellent restaurants (a pizzeria and a fish restaurant) a few minutes walk away. Raffaello was an excellent host. Overall a fantastic B&B - I would recommended it very highly.

Es ist eine alte Villa - nicht perfekt, aber es hat seine eigene Magie. Der Besitzer ist sehr freundlich und hilfsreich, er versucht, sein Bestes zu geben.

Wir hatten die Reise zu unserer goldenen Hochzeit gemacht. Von Alfredo wurden wir herzlich empfangen. Er hatte alles wunderbar organisiert, sodass wir einen sehr schönen Tag erlebt haben.
Die Villa hat uns sehr gut gefallen, sie hat ein ganz besonderes Flair. Alfredo und sein Bruder mit Frau sind sehr liebe Menschen, die man heute nur noch selten findet. Da wir in der Corona Zeit dort waren, waren wir die einzigen Gäste. Auch in dieser besonderen Zeit kann man dort einen entspannten Urlaub erleben. Wir können das Haus nur weiter empfehlen.
Wir bedanken uns noch einmal herzlich für die wundervolle Woche, die wir in der Villa verleben durften. Danke Alfredo

Verwunschene Villa, mit einem wunderschönen Garten, in dem bei schönem Wetter gefrühstückt wird. Raffaelo, der Betreiber, serviert den allerbesten Kaffee und die Früchte des Obstalates kommen aus eigenem Garten. Das Haus hat die perfekte Lage nur wenige Schritte zum kleinen Strand und nah zu den guten Restaurants des schönen Örtchens Lesa. Die Villa Margherita ist ein Märchenschloß und bietet absolute Erholung.

Die Villa Margherita ist ein Kleinod abseits des touristischen Trubel in dem kleinen typischen italienischen Ort Lesa nicht weit von dem kleinen öffentlichen Strand am Lago Maggiore gelegen. Besonders reizvoll ist das Frühstück im romantischen Garten, der liebevoll von Rafael gepflegt wird. Er gab uns viele Tipps für Wanderungen im beeindruckenden Hinterland des Mottarone und zum Ortasee und organisierte ein wirklich romantisches Abendessen auf der Insel Pescatori mit einer nächtlichen Rundfahrt auf dem Lago. Er hatte viel über sein geschichtsträchtiges Elternhaus (auf deutsch) zu erzählen. Wer etwas besonderes sucht, ist hier sehr gut aufgehoben. Vielen Dank, lieber Rafael.

Un nido gustabilissimo, per estimatori.
Dopo un soggiorno di tre notti, dopo visite MOLTO gradevoli dei dintorni (Lago Maggiore, sponda piemontese), e soprattutto dopo la visita delle sfarzosissime Isole Borromee, abbiamo insignito con convinzione Raffaelo del titolo di Granduca della (Villa) Margherita!

Ho trascorso due giorni favolosi sul Lago Maggiore con mia madre in questa antica villa. Ho trovato un refrigerio nelle caldissime giornate di fine agosto nel parco dove è piacevolissimo fare colazione e trascorrere alcune ore pomeridiane. In questa villa non ci sono i condizionatori è meno male. Prima di partire mia madre aveva qualche dubbio e invece siamo rimaste stupite di quanto le spesse mura della struttura e il parco ombreggiato favoriscono una temperatura ideale nell'ambiente della casa. La camera con terrazzo è veramente bella, e il bagno ristrutturato recentissimo ed è pulito. La posizione è comoda vicinissima alla spiaggia pubblica tranquilla e lontana dalla strada costiera. Consiglio almeno una volta di prendere il bus di linea fino a Verbania, così avrete più possibilità di ammirare il paesaggio. Ma la ciliegina sulla torta è stata la cena sull'isola dei pescatori da Maria Pia al ristorante " La Peschiera" consigliato dal proprietario del B&B Raffaelo. Ci tornerò ancora.
