The “Corni di Nibbio” are a harsh and bleak range of mountains, which separate civilized Valle Ossola from wild Valgrande, the largest stretch of Italian wilderness. Our B&B, of the same name, is situated at the foot of these mountains in the village of Nibbio and locality of Mergozzo.
If what appeals to you is the tranquility of an ancient country house dating back to the 1800s, carefully refurbished in minute detail, where not only the features of the epoque have been maintained but their more typical aspects have been enhanced, then perhaps you have found what you are looking for.
The B&B is located at one kilometre from the motorway exit for Mergozzo, otherwise at a five minute drive from the town itself, or Borgo, where you are welcomed by the pure and clean water of the lake and the green of the surrounding landscape.
It can also be reached by bicycle along a 5Km cycle track; bicycles are provided free of charge.
The genuine and generous breakfast is served either in the dining room called “Proman” with a fire burning in the hearth or outdoors in the garden under the vine-clad portico with a view of the mountains.
In this friendly and relaxing environment you will feel completly at ease and eager to discover the qualities and features of the area.
Elenia, Patrizio and little Giorgia, the household mascot, will attend to all your needs and requirements.

Every morning a rich abundant breakfast is served buffet style to our guests either outdoors under the courtyard portico or in the “Proman” dining room with its fireplace and includes:
– freshly and expressly squeezed juices made from Sicilian citrus fruits
– shakes made with homegrown seasonal fruit
– choice of hot drinks (milk coffee, latte macchiato, cappuccino, hot chocolate, ovomaltina, nesquik) all with fresh milk. Espresso coffee. Selection of teas and herbal infusions.
– sparkling and still mineral water
– homemade jams, local honey, Nutella, Crema Novi and other chocolate spreads
– sweet and savoury cakes prepared daily
– oven fresh croissants
– “fugascina” (a confection typical of Mergozzo, made following an old family recipe)
– fresh eggs laid by our own hens, boiled, scrambled or fried and served with bacon.
– butter from the mountain pastures.

We had a great time at Corni di Nibbio. Elenia is very friendly and hospitable. My wife and daughter are gluten intolerant and it was no problem at all. The breakfast was superb with fresh made jams and marmalade and fruits from the garden. We enjoyed the swimming pool very much in the beautiful garden. The B&B is located in a quiet area near the lakes. When we are in the neighbourhood we would like to stay again in Corni di Nibbio.

Traditional house very well located. Very pleasant welcome from Eleni and her husband. We had problems with our vehicle and were helped with the procedures (phone, translation, transport). A very good memory to renew if possible.

A pleasant discovery immersed in greenery that offers tranquility and relaxation. From the pool, one can enjoy a spectacular view. Comfortable room, excellent and abundant buffet breakfast. Thanks to Elenia, Patrizio, and Giorgia who welcomed us like friends. We will definitely return.

We stayed for four nights at B&B I Corni di Nibbio in July. Elenia is the perfect hostess. The rooms are spacious and clean and have everything we needed. The breakfast is abundant and we loved the fresh juice and cappuccino every day. She also recommended and booked lovely restaurants for us. There are many hiking trails in the area and some picturesque villages with plenty of restaurants to choose from. We highly recommend this place.

Poor choice. The choice was made because the property is pet friendly. And they do accept dogs, but medium and large ones are impossible to bring. Even 2 lively children... would struggle to fit in a space SO SMALL. Completely unprepared to welcome dogs (from bowls outside to waste collection bins) and very small rooms (my bathroom was 2 square meters). Breakfast is served in a room so small that 3 people already fill it (and I wonder how 2 people can fit in following anti-covid regulations). Bringing your own dog if medium or large is absurd. They do not have an ATM... in 2020. BEAUTIFUL IN PHOTOS... But in reality, it's another story. ABSOLUTE DISAPPOINTMENT, especially for being PET FRIENDLY. Not suitable for families with 2 children. More suitable for retirees, couples, or singles... (without dogs). Not recommended.
