Our bed and breakfast draws inspiration from a slow, healthy lifestyle in harmony with nature. La Cascina, a residence dating back to the late 19th century, has been a place of sharing for our family for generations and is now also a meeting and discovery place for our guests.
In 2010, we renovated the hospitality area, and since then we have been passionately dedicated to hospitality, with the aim of allowing you to discover the wonders of our region. We are located in the area of the Five Lakes, in the municipality of Ivrea, immersed in a natural, historical, and geological environment of great value.
We are surrounded by greenery, at the foot of the Serra Morenica and Mombarone, and just a few steps from the famous Via Francigena, with the historic center of Ivrea just a few minutes' drive away.
Our three spacious bedrooms are located on the ground floor and all have private bathrooms, separate entrances, and exclusive parking. We have a double/twin room, a triple room, and a quadruple room. Upon request, we can also provide a crib for babies and a foldable bed.
The rooms overlook a large garden, and you also have access to a charming veranda with tables and chairs, where you can relax during the beautiful season.
In the morning, we delight our guests with a genuine breakfast, both sweet and savory! We dedicate the right time and attention to make this moment a true pleasure to be enjoyed leisurely. From the passion for traveling to the hospitality in our farmhouse! We are Massimo, Antonella, Marta, and Medea; a colorful family with different interests but with great common values; among them, the desire to live a slow life, respectful of the environment and others; the love for our land and the commitment to family. After years spent discovering different and fascinating cultures around the world, the roles have reversed! It is us who are opening the doors of our home, trying to convey the beauty of our original territory and its culture, and making you feel "at home".

The wide range that our territory has to offer and its strategic position make it the perfect destination to meet different needs and desires! Ivrea, an ancient town of Roman origin, is a UNESCO heritage site as an industrial city of the 20th century thanks to the contribution of Adriano Olivetti. This recognition rewards an innovative entrepreneurial and social model that has now become a heritage to be preserved. Surrounded by green morainic hills, it is set in a naturalistic context of great value; it develops at the foot of the Serra and the Mombarone.
Our farmhouse, in particular, is immersed in greenery, in a peaceful place. We are located within the protected area of the Five Lakes and on the route of the ancient Via Francigena. Not too far away and reachable by car, the region of Andrate and San Giacomo where the air becomes even purer and you can enjoy the incredible view from above! With a little extra time to explore the surroundings, we mention the lush and unspoiled Valchiusella and the Gran Paradiso National Park. For mountain lovers, its characteristics and high-altitude trails are within an hour's drive (taking the highway) to reach the Val d'Aosta region and here another wide choice between valleys and mountain villages to get lost in!
For those who also want to experience the charm of the art city, visit museums and metropolitan life during their vacation, well connected and just an hour away, there are the cities of Turin and Aosta. If there is flexibility in the choice of the period to visit our territory, knowing the festivities could be a key element for those curious about traditions; we mention the famous Carnival with the orange throwing during the winter period, the San Savino horse fair in July, and the Grande Invasione, the reading festival held every year in spring.

We stayed at the B&B Cascina Moncrava (Roccia room) for just one night upon returning from a trip to France. We had a great time, the family room was extremely spacious, well-kept and furnished. Calm environment, Antonella is a very affable host who spoiled us with a fantastic breakfast, practically a lunch.

Spacious and welcoming rooms, well taken care of in detail. Environmentally friendly structure: no disposable plastic dishes, only glass and ceramic (also in the room and bathroom). Recycling in the kitchen. Good quality breakfast, sweet and savory.

Nous avons adoré le lieu, les propriétaires Antonella et Massimo, leur humanité, charme, écoute et disponibilité et sommes aussi tombé amoureux de la région d'Ivréa et de Canavese, de ces lacs, forêts, et sous le charme de ces vignobles, ces oliveraies (et oui incroyable si près de notre Valais) et ces innombrables chemins dont nous avons parcourus quelques-uns pendant les 5 jours que nous avons passés à Moncrava.

Buen ejemplo de lo que deberían ser todos los alojamientos de este tipo. Desde la llegada con un amable y generoso recibimiento. Una tarde extremadamente calurosa compensada con un viejo y maravilloso casón y sobre todo la amabilidad de Antonella, la propietaria, que nos recibió con una copa de vino blanco que nos supo a gloria.
La habitación amplia, límpia y muy acogedora. Y el desayuno rico y generoso. Enhorabuena y gracia a Antonella por la grata experiencia.

La struttura è strepitosa: camere molto ampie, arredate con gusto e con cura per i dettagli, pulitissime (particolare degno di nota: una delle camere è stata ricavata in una cappella del '700); in giardino ci sono sedie e tavolini per ogni camera e una zona sotto un portico per fare colazione all'aria aperta, stagione permettendo.
La colazione è molto abbondante, con prodotti freschi e genuini, tra cui un ottimo pane fatto in casa dalla proprietaria (Antonella).
Antonella è una padrona di casa molto gentile, accogliente e disponibile; la sua cura fa sentire gli ospiti a proprio agio.
Siamo stati benissimo!

B&B à 10 minutes de l'autoroute, 1/2 heure de Milan et 1h d'Aoste. Site calme et reposant, hôtesse paisible faisant l'effort de parler français, petit-déjeuner personnalisé et avec du pain fait maison. Assortiment de thés et d'infusions à disposition dans la chambre ainsi qu'un frigo et une bouteille d'eau fraîche. Petits flacons de gel douche et de shampoing fournis. Lieu très soigné à proximité de plusieurs petits lacs avec bases nautiques et possibilités de pique nique.

Magnifique demeure restaurée avec beaucoup de goût. Chambres très spacieuses avec beaucoup de cachet. Très bons matelas. Jardin avec abri couvert à disposition des trois chambres. Antonella la propriétaire est charmante. A coup sûr, nous reviendrons.
Seul petit, tout petit bémol: pas assez de place pour étendre les linges de bains dans la chambre à 4; nous avons eu un temps humide et pluvieux ce week-end, les serviettes ne séchaient pas et ne sentaient pas très bon.
Sinon, tout était parfait.

La Cascina è meravigliosa, ben ristrutturata. La stanze sono dei mini-appartamenti, molto accoglienti e spaziosi, caldi e piacevoli.
Antonella e suo marito sono molto simpatici. Colazione varia e buona.

In a world tuned for families with at most 2 children, travelling with three children is not an easy task. Cascina Moncrava was a wonderful surprise: nice location, close to the five lakes and not far from the city centre of Ivrea. The room was tastefully furnished and Antonella is friendly and very helpful. The breakfast is good and the prices are fair. What else you need? I definitely recommend it!

Spacious, clean rooms and beautiful setting. I loved the possibility to eat outside in the garden. The in keeper was friendly and attentive. The location is near to a lake where you can swim and there are 4 others to visit. I will recommend this place to other people.

A very nice place with a pleasant atmosphere and very near to a lake to swim. Good place on your way to the south but also to spend a few days!
