Description

The B&B is located in one of Verbania’s prettiest touristic resorts, Suna.

It faces the lakefront and is situated in one of the most ancient buildings of the town that has been a boarding house since the beginning of the last century. It’s past and tradition in the hospitality field gives the name to the “Ancient B&B Suna”.

The room offers a balcony overlooking the Borromeo gulf and the Swiss-Italian Alps and is completed by a private bathroom and a breakfast room. The B&B provides a relaxing and cosy atmosphere and is located close to the town’s main services (bus stop, newspaper kiosk, tobacconist’s shop, grocery shop, restaurants, pharmacy, bank).

The room includes a double bed and a bunk bed (an extra bed is available). Pets are welcome.

The B&B is situated close to the beach and the swimming pool; the port for trips to Borromeo islands is also in walking distance. One can also walk to the famous Villa Taranto botanical garden or drive to the Val Grande National Park (the largest “wilderness” area in Italy) or to the valleys surrounding the town of Domodossola, well-known for their gastronomic tradition and for the evocative landscapes full of history and folklore.

Via specific request it is also possible to receive wellness treatments by an expert in the natural therapy field.

The "Antica Pensione Suna" Bed and Breakfast is located on the Suna lakeside in a central position, close to the beaches, the swimming pool, and the playground, as well as all the facilities in the area. With a short panoramic walk or by bike, you can reach the Gardens of Villa Taranto and the Landscape Museum. Buses connect the village with other locations in Verbania, as well as with the main towns and the train station (Milan - Domodossola Line).

A very nice holiday apartment, very lovely hosts and the location is great. The lake is right in front of the door. The bar on the other side of the street is barely audible thanks to the very good windows. For ice cream fans there is a great gelateria 10 m to the left and delicious food is 10 m to the right at Pizzeria Fantasia Verbania. You can find them on the internet; they are really good. 900 m to the left is Pizzeria Beata. Great location, great food and the staff are friendly. I will happily come back.

We stayed for 3 nights. The apartment, on the second floor, is very spacious, with a very large bedroom with parquet flooring, a small room with a microwave and fridge. Spacious bathroom. It is located along the lake with a beautiful view. The owner (Maria Luisa) is very kind and helpful. It should be noted that there is no elevator. I recommend bringing a hairdryer because the one provided, on the wall, has low power; also missing shampoo and shower gel. Varied and personalized breakfast! The apartment is along the road and in front of a bar (always open); in high season I assume it may be a bit noisy. However, the location is central, so very convenient for visiting the main locations of the lake.

Everything more than good. The location is excellent, with a fantastic view of Lake Maggiore. The kindness of Maria Luisa is exceptional, she is always available. The breakfast is abundant and varied. I would definitely recommend this place, we felt like at home. Thank you.

We had a great time at this bed and breakfast, highly recommended for staying in the area of Verbania and the fabulous Lake Maggiore. The apartment is located on the second floor of a historic building overlooking the lake, it is spacious, clean, bright, and has a beautiful view; varied and abundant breakfast. The pier where you can take ferries to the Borromean Islands is in Pallanza, reachable with a pleasant 15-minute walk along the lakeside. In the area, there are many restaurants and bars where you can eat, have aperitifs, or go for a post-dinner drink; there are also several free white line parking spaces (it could be difficult to find during peak season/weekends). The owners are truly very helpful, friendly, and welcoming.

We absolutely loved staying here. Maria Luisa brought us a fabulous breakfast every morning on her little trolley. Fantastic views, far more spacious than I realised, in a super historic building. Our only problems were the parking - we were told it should be okay, but it was terrible, I think because of the time of year - August. And the noise at night, I think local youths drinking and riding motorbikes in the early hours (Sunday and monday).

Charming room/apartment with small balcony on the 2nd floor with good storage possibility for bikes. Breathtaking view of the lake (ideal for breakfast and nightcap). Great starting point for cycling trips or a walk to the center. In the morning, Maria Luisa served us a varied breakfast and had good tips in Italian/English. Free parking can be found with some patience. Thanks to the bar opposite, there is a lot of activity/late night in the evening (didn't bother us). The apartment was very nice and the rooms were spacious and welcoming. It overlooked the lake and the view was spectacular. We only had the problem that at night, being right on the lakeside, there were many people around and they were also playing music, but we closed the windows and didn't hear anything anymore. Perhaps the only negative point was not having air conditioning, and with only the fan provided in the room, the heat unfortunately was still felt, but we slept anyway.
