Imagine sleeping in a forest and now open your eyes: welcome to Amelù. Old wood adorns the walls, local stone, natural materials, wool and cirmolo pillows for your rest.

The structure is based on eco-sustainability and bio-construction criteria, with two 20 sqm rooms for 2 people plus 2 beds on the mezzanine; equipped living area, view of Monviso, separate sleeping area, and bathroom with shower.

Suitable for families (with everything you need for your children on request, a small house in the garden) but not only, recommended for couples who want a warm but discreet vacation, perfect for sports enthusiasts and mountain lovers (cyclists, hikers, etc.).

Numerous excursions start from Amelù and a thousand adventures await you!

Ostana, or Oustano in the local language, is an Occitan village located in the upper Po Valley. It consists of numerous hamlets arranged on a sunny slope, facing the pyramid of Monviso. Like many other mountain villages, it has suffered from gradual depopulation in recent years. However, unlike other places, Ostana has managed to react and find its own way of development. Perhaps it is due to the incomparable beauty of the landscape (Monviso stands vertical and powerful right in front), the excellent exposure, the abundance of clean air and water, the numerous pastures, the good road connection, or the presence of an attentive and proactive administration, but Ostana is experiencing a second youth and is considered a laboratory of Alpine architecture and rebirth. The beauty of the place is such that Ostana has been included in the list of "The most beautiful villages in Italy". To reach Ostana, follow the signs to the Po Valley until the junction just before Crissolo, about 32 km from Saluzzo, the capital of the ancient Marquisate. Instead, continuing along the main road, you will come across the village of Crissolo, a Monviso ski resort, with its well-known tourist attractions: the sources of the Po River in Pian del Re and the Rio Martino Cave.

Great structure recently renovated with all comforts. Very available host. We also booked the wellness area located in an ancient cellar and the next day we booked the e-bikes for a ride in the valley. We will come back.

The structure is very beautiful, wood and stone provide warmth and comfort, the view of Monviso is truly impressive, and the silence one can enjoy is priceless. The manager is very helpful, and the pastries at breakfast are from the small local bakery. Highly recommended for those seeking peace and the real mountains.

Amelù is a very unique property that is authentic in design and feeling. Amelù gives direct access to energetic walks, spectacular views and mountain landscapes and an abundance of nature and wildlife. The architecture is in keeping with the original mountain house with unique ceilings. It is a special place also because it is so quiet and very much loved and cared for by the hosts and everything has been put together beautifully. It is very good value. It deserves its rating as one of the most beautiful villages in Italy.

Very idyllic location, great starting point for hikes, very attentive landlord. The only downside was the bedroom, which lacked real standing height and was very dark, not optimal. Breakfast partly with regional products, otherwise packaged. More suitable for self-caterers who bring everything. We would come back, but not take the Anna apartment.

We stayed in the Maria apartment, a real miniature house with all the comforts. Well-equipped kitchen, bathtub on the upper floor excellent for enjoying moments of relaxation. We requested a crib that was already in the room upon our arrival. Stunning view.

Very nice structure. My apartment, Anna, was very cozy and intimate, a real gem, with a beautiful terrace overlooking Monviso. Kind owners, willing to provide information. Small but cozy wellness area. It was two really relaxing days. I will definitely come back!

The only issue with this property is the bathroom of the room we stayed in. A person of 1.80 meters cannot take a comfortable shower, as it is about 1.80 meters high. The rest is all great and very beautiful.
