B&B AL SASSO is situated in Toceno, the most panoramic point of the Vigezzo valley and as the popular old song quotes " Toceno, charming town of the valley is called the balcony..". We are in the Lepontine Alps at the entrance to the delightful Val grand National Park, a unique valley in the heart of the Verbano Cusio Ossola province.

From the B&B AL SASSO, two of the most well known and visited villages of the valley can be reached, Arvogno and Blizz. They are the starting point of many interesting walks and tours.

The house recently built, consists of a double bedroom with a balcony and a second double bedroom with an additional third bed and two bathrooms.

Available for our guests use are a spacious terrace and garden, equipped with games and sunbeds. A reading corner, TV, stereo and kitchen exclusively for your use, washing room, pram,high chair and a bicycle.

Tourist information leaflets also present.

Every year there are many festivals organised in the Vigezzo valley, also called " Valley of the Painters" due to the number of famous painters born there such as Carlo Fornara and G.B. Ciolina. In particular the " International Chimney Sweep Gathering", not to be missed in September, together with the Christmas markets which bring together hobbysts of every type. A few Kilometers from our B&B you can find the magnificent " Sanctuary of Re " a place for many pilgrims devoted to the " Madonna del Sangue" ( Our Lady of the Blood). We look forward to seeing you and don't forget to make a nice journey on the characteristic little white and blue train which runs along the entire Italian-Swiss line from Domodossola to Locarno. The B&B AL SASSO welcomes you and offers a rich breakfast and a taste of local delicacies.

Our breakfast is plentiful, with sweet and savoury options, all organic and sourced locally.

We serve homemade cakes, including the traditional "Panelatte", homemade jams, freshly squeezed juices, artisanal yoghurts, croissants, muffins, krapfen, biscuits, strudel, custards, cereals, extra cappuccinos, and also toast, eggs, fresh and cooked fruit, and more!

The Vigezzo Valley is situated in the Lepontine Alps and is reknowned as "the Painters Valley" - as much for the historical preponderance of portrait and landscape painters as for its inherent beauty. There are seven villages in the valley: Druogno, Santa Maria Maggiore, Malesco, Toceno, Craveggia, Villette and Re. They all have hamlets attached, in which the atmosphere of the past rural life still persists. A holiday in Vigezzo means pleasure, relaxation and the discovery of a still unspoiled alpine world. There is so much to choose from among walks and trips, discovering meadows, woods and mountain pastures. If you pass through the Loana Valley from Malesco you will enter the Val Grande National Park, which is the largest area of wilderness in Italy.

Everything perfect. What I was looking for for a romantic one-night getaway. Cozy and very beautiful attic room. Beautiful location on the road to Arvogno which was our destination for hikes. We were looking for a quiet and relaxing place and it was just that. Super sweet and savory breakfast and kind and helpful hosts.

Beautiful view over part of Val Vigezzo, strategic location for trips to the various places of interest in the Ossola Valleys. The landlady is extremely kind and helpful, we will definitely come back. Thank you for the pleasant stay.

We stayed at this B&B Al Sasso for one night in a quadruple room that the lady perfectly set up for 2 couples. The room is very spacious and comfortable, spotlessly clean. The very rich breakfast is served in front of the fireplace. Congratulations to the lady for the care of the details of her property, for the availability she has shown us. Absolutely recommended. Toceno was a pleasant discovery. (In case of snow, ask for information to access the property considering the steep climb).

Stay made very pleasant by the attentions reserved for us by Mrs. Federica who did not let us miss anything. She was very helpful in offering us all the requested information and also very flexible with the schedules, as we have a two-year-old daughter she empathized with our needs. And just for the little girl, she thought of everything, even a box full of toys. Not to mention the breakfast, abundant and varied. Overall we were fine and highly recommend it.
