Villa Almelia is situated in the green countryside of Molise and is very close to the center of Vinchiaturo (800 meters), a picturesque village with a lovely old town to visit and a lively weekly market. In the immediate vicinity of the structure, there is also an equestrian center and an artificial lake with sports fishing events.
The facility is easily accessible by car (SS17) or by public transport (bus and train - stops at Vinchiaturo FS station for trains from Naples and Rome).
Villa Almelia is also particularly close to Campobasso, the regional capital, so it is possible to reach the train station, the bus terminal, and the hospital facilities of Cardarelli and Catholic University in 5-10 minutes by car (transport available upon request for those without a car). A little oasis of peace. Very nice and well-kept place, with a large garden available to guests with a gazebo, table, and hammock. Large and clean room. Ignazio, the manager, very kind and courteous in providing every indication on what to visit. The only side to improve is the breakfast: lack of savory foods, fresh bread, and orange juice (only juice boxes for children). Excellent homemade pies. I love sweet breakfast, but a bit of cold cuts/cheese and fresh bread are, in my opinion, to be added.

We arrived at 13:30 but the rooms were not ready. \nMoreover, we had ordered 4 rooms all with ensuite bathroom, instead (due to a software error) two had a shared bathroom. \nPoor breakfast and overall service (the management of the discomfort caused by their bathroom error was non-existent). \nLack of professionalism.

I spent a weekend with some friends in this very beautiful place with a peace and tranquility that I found in few places, then there is the owner of Villa Almelia, Mr. Ignazio, a very good person always available.

Stayed here for a week in September. Great location and property for exploring the Italian countryside. Ignazio is a very passionate and accomplished chef and singer, you must try his cooking at least once, you will not be disappointed. Italians are not big on breakfast, so don't expect a big fry up, home made cakes and coffee not so bad. You will need to take your phrase book and use Google interpreter, as the hosts speak very little English. Best of all, no tourists and only local Italian produce sold in the shops and restaurants, fantastic.

Villa Almelia deserves only positive reviews given the courtesy of the owner, the cleanliness and quality of the rooms. Furthermore, the structure is a wonderful villa surrounded by a huge garden where tranquility reigns. The structure is very modern and I hope that the quality-price ratio remains the same because in that case I will definitely come back.

There were four of us (two couples) and we had a really great time. Kindness, availability, and excellent cuisine. Mr. Ignazio is truly a wonderful person. We will return to visit him soon.

We stayed at this property in August 2011 for a week, using it as a place to rest at night while we were busy during the day visiting relatives in Campobasso, and we found it so nice that we returned again this summer for a wedding. The house is really beautiful, surrounded by a large wooded garden, equipped for moments of relaxation. There is a large porch where you can play cards or have a snack, and a nice solarium terrace with an outdoor shower. The rooms are sober and elegant, as are the exclusive internal bathrooms, very clean environments, and finally, the large open kitchen, really beautiful, where you can take advantage (with a small surcharge) of half board and where Mr. Ignazio will give his best with tasty, refined dishes presented in a particularly cared manner.
