Description

The Carpinella's definition as "design" and "brand new" is the result of our guests' euphoria, driven, we want to believe, by the location and the commitment we put into what little we do.

We have been doing this for over 20 years, solely managed by our family: first my mother Sandra and my brother, now my wife Marietta and myself.

Our description would be more like this: the first B&B in Portonovo, a seaside resort located 10 km south of Ancona, immersed in the Mediterranean scrubland of the Integral Reserve Area of the Conero Park, therefore hidden and protected by greenery just a stone's throw from the sea.

The structure, built in 1960 and renovated in 2003, used to be the seaside house of the Gigli family. We offer a total of four double/twin rooms with private entrance and bathroom. Among them, the standout features are the top room with an exclusive sea view terrace and the family room, capable of accommodating both parents and children in two separate spaces.

Breakfast is served outdoors or, in case of unfavorable weather, in the main area of the house.

A car is not necessary in Portonovo, everything is within walking distance: you can park it and forget about it.

Meals can be enjoyed at one of the nine restaurants located within a one-kilometer radius from Carpinella, catering to every budget, from Michelin-starred chefs to typical pizzerias.

One of the few private houses in Portonovo built in the 1960s from Conero stone and with a truly commendable respect for the places (i.e. absolutely not comparable to the terrible building atrocities of other, albeit magnificent, Italian seaside resorts). And, precisely for all this, the villa enjoys an exceptional, unique, unrepeatable position, nestled as it is within the Conero Park and just steps from the sea. The Mediterranean scrub that envelops the house greatly mitigates temperatures so that there is no need to turn on the air conditioning. Absolute silence (the cicadas reign supreme). Exemplary discretion on the part of the owners. What more could you want?

Valutazioni analoghe per rapporto qualità/prezzo e colazione sono rarissime, e confesso mi dispiace avvenga per la colazione che -dico sempre- è una delle 2 cose imprescindibili nel b&b. Ci può stare che in un momento particolare ci sia sfuggito qualche dettaglio, che in genere cerchiamo di curare a dovere. Se avremo una seconda occasione, non sarà sprecata! Saluti.

We spent four very pleasant days in this B&B in Portonovo, surrounded by greenery and in an excellent location to reach all the beaches and restaurants in the area on foot. The only point: the shower is a bit small and it would be useful to have a mosquito net (although fortunately, at least at the end of June, there were very few mosquitoes); otherwise, everything was very good, pleasant and relaxing.

It is a stone's throw from the beach while being sheltered by the pine forest in which it is located. You sleep well, the place is nice and well-kept, Mediterranean breakfast is served on a stone table outdoors. Recommended, especially for couples or singles.

I was looking for a quiet place in a seaside location to celebrate my husband's birthday. By chance, I found Carpinella and booked! We were welcomed by Piergiorgio who showed us to our accommodation! The structure is just a few dozen meters from the sea but situated in the middle of nature and the greenery of the park. The room with sea view and large terrace is really pleasant. Parking included and inside, which is really useful and convenient in Portonovo. The managers are kind and welcoming. Good cleanliness. I would come back.

In Portonovo, at the foot of Mount Conero, you can find B&B La Carpinella. A place in the middle of nature that predisposes to tranquility and serenity where you can relax and feel good, "slowly". Family management, hospitality, care, kindness, and availability. Excellent breakfast!

A charming place immersed in the nature of Conero. We stayed with our children. The youngest is only 2 months old and it wasn't easy to find a place that would allow us to have a peaceful vacation, exploring wonderful places together with her. Thanks to La Carpinella we succeeded! The bed and breakfast is indeed in a splendid location, just a few steps from the numerous beaches and restaurants of Portonovo. We also appreciated the hospitality and welcome of Piergiorgio and Marietta who pampered us every morning with delicious breakfasts, prepared by them with quality products. More than a positive experience thanks to the location of the structure very close to the sea and at the same time far from the confusion as it is immersed in the Mediterranean scrub. Having breakfast outdoors with genuine products around a large table and chatting with other guests and with the manager, Mr. Piergiorgio, always very kind and helpful, certainly makes the day start well. Furthermore, once arrived, you can forget the car and reach both the beaches and the restaurants on foot. We recommend it to all those who want a holiday in direct contact with nature.

For years we have been frequenting the Portonovo area but, only last year, we discovered this B&B, what can I say: "love at first sight"! And it was elected our corner of paradise. Starting from the area, it remains in a privileged position, just a stone's throw from the main beaches and restaurants, but secluded, in an oasis of greenery and tranquility. The large family house offers ground floor and upstairs rooms, simple but well-kept and clean. The rooms upstairs offer a beautiful terrace with sea view. Breakfasts that are served in the park when the weather is nice, are truly delicious and genuine. Piergiorgio the manager, affable and discreet, with whom we had the opportunity to have pleasant conversations, is very attentive to homemade products (homemade cakes and jams) and healthy (apple and ginger juice always present) coffee made with the Moka, creams of dried fruit, fresh fruit, bread with ancient grain flours, in short, a morning start that delights and satisfies. Highly recommended for those who want to spend moments of relaxation and enjoy this beautiful bay.

Environment located in the middle of the Mediterranean forest, where the noises are only natural ones like the wind and the birds singing. The sea, wonderful, is reachable on foot in a few minutes. I stayed here with my sister and we recommend this property for the welcoming hosts, especially Giorgio, who prepared delicious breakfasts for us with courtesy and discretion. We appreciated the tranquility of the property, secluded in the woods, yet very close to the beaches. The possibility of internal parking is a great convenience. The cleanliness and the quality/price ratio, considering the peak season, have completed the full satisfaction of the holiday. The property is highly recommended.

We stayed in the TOP room and I can say it was worth it. It has a very large terrace with a view of a glimpse of the sea, equipped with sun loungers and a table with chairs. Marietta and Piergiorgio are very hospitable. Breakfast is as described and I found it very good, especially rich in fruit. The sea is a few steps away. We couldn't rent the umbrella with sun loungers because they were all already booked. I recommend arriving equipped with at least some mats for the pebble beach as the beach is pebbly. Wearing rock shoes is also recommended. We had a great time and hope to return.

What can I say... A beautiful surprise! A diamond set in the Conero park, in the most beautiful location on the Riviera. 3 minutes from the nearest beach and 15 minutes from the farthest beach in Portonovo. Internal parking at the structure is super strategic. Abundant breakfasts and attention to detail on the table, quality and artisanal products. Room always clean and with a terrace overlooking the sea, spectacular! Referring to the most critical, obviously it is still a B&B and not a 5-star hotel, enjoy your holiday and respect the context (we are inside a Natural Park, immersed in the woods), don't be fussy about small defects. Highly recommended!

We stayed at La Carpinella for a week and had a great time, thanks to the friendliness and availability of the owner, Piergiorgio. The breakfast was delicious and, with just a few steps, we were at the beach without having to use the car. The room and the bathroom were always clean. Definitely a place to come back to.

I did not stay at La Carpinella so my review is a bit particular (for example, the rating on breakfast is not therefore reliable but it seems good from what I could see on the website). However, I went to visit the host after contacting him in April and Piergiorgio, very kind, showed me around the B&B to allow me to evaluate it for a future booking. The impression is excellent: simple but well-organized rooms that also have private spaces (terraces or parts of the garden); the location is great and very convenient for the beach (50 meters) and ideal for those who prefer to forget about using the car once they reach the holiday destination. There is the possibility of preparing lunches/dinners independently thanks to a small external kitchenette and in my opinion, this is definitely a plus for a B&B. The property consists of a villa with a fenced garden that always has the owners present. I definitely recommend it.

In effetti solo un ospite dello scorso anno ci ha dato 7, tutti gli altri dall'8 in su. Ma tant'è, qualcosa può non aver funzionato, anzi tu stesso indichi cosa, e la chiudiamo qui. A beneficio dei futuri ospiti, chiarisco che come riportato nelle condizioni di soggiorno il cambio completo degli asciugamani avviene a pagamento dietro richiesta. Singoli pezzi vengono cambiati gratuitamente, basta lasciarli a terra. E a terra, almeno a giorni alterni, si passa aspirapolvere o straccio secondo esigenze.

Our stay at the BnB La Carpinella was wonderful. The hosts are very helpful and accommodating. The location of the accommodation is optimal. Close to the sea yet away from the hustle and bustle. The only downside to the place for a family is that there is no grocery store.

My husband, my daughter Lidia who is two years old and I had the pleasure of staying in this wonderful bed and breakfast for 10 days! Wonderful location, surrounded by greenery just a stone's throw from the sea (essential element in Portonovo and surroundings where finding parking is very complicated and sometimes even reaching the beaches). The apartment has everything you need for a summer vacation, the breakfast is well taken care of, there is always a sweet treat made with love by Marietta and there is never a lack of fresh fruit! An additional bonus is the pleasure of enjoying breakfast with the other guests of the bed and breakfast, as it is served at a "common" table. For those with children like us, but in general for those who enjoy cooking something, everyone has access to the little kitchen where you will find everything you need. Portonovo is beautiful and the surrounding areas are worth a visit. I highly recommend staying in this bed and breakfast, where we immediately felt "at home", a feeling confirmed in the following days also thanks to Pier and Marietta, truly special people! We will definitely come back.

The structure is located in a strategic position that allows you to easily reach all the beaches of Portonovo on foot. There is a reserved parking space within the property. The rooms are spacious and clean. The room 'I Gabbiani' reserved for us had a large sea view terrace with two sun loungers and a small table, useful in case you decide for take-away dinner from one of the local eateries. The presence of a common outdoor kitchen can allow you to cook something if necessary. Breakfast is plentiful and with fresh and healthy products. I enjoyed my stay at La Carpinella. Pier was a very helpful host, replying quickly to my queries and providing useful information on reaching Portonovo. He also went out of his way to help me explore the beautiful Parco del Conero, providing both maps and transport. He helped to arrange my transport to the airport for an early flight. The breakfasts were delicious, with fresh fruit and warm breads. Thank you.

Highly recommended. The host, Per Giorgio, was extremely generous. We were traveling in the off-season without a car, when local buses and services turned out to be limited, and he kindly gave us rides to the beach and the bus stop, and one day even made us sandwiches for lunch at no charge when the local cafe was closed. He serves a delicious light breakfast on a terrace: fruit, pastry, bread with homemade jams. We rented the large room with the private terrace. The room was plain but comfortable and clean, and the views of sea and mountains from the terrace were beautiful. You can walk to a good seafood restaurant, a pizzeria, and the rocky town beach in just a few minutes. Nearby sandy Mezzavalle Beach must be one of the most beautiful in the world. The trailhead to reach it is 3 km away uphill; then you have to walk down a very steep clay path, but it's worth it.
