Description
Il Sogno di Tino is a historic residence in a palace dating back to the 1700s; certainly one of the oldest structures in the village of Cabernardi.
As far as is known, it has always been owned by the Caverni family; the building is located on the main street while the back overlooks the family lands. The basement was used for winemaking activities; evidence of this is the ancient wooden press, of considerable size. The two upper floors were used as the (main) residence.
In the first half of the last century, following the economic boom of Cabernardi due to mining activity, a part of the ground floor was used for commercial activities. After the closure of the mine - 1956 - and the subsequent depopulation of the village, the residence was gradually abandoned. In the 1980s, it was in a state of decay when one of the heirs, Tino, began the first renovation works.
In 1991, Tino passed away and the palace remained uninhabited. Three years ago, his daughter Loredana and her nephew Sergio started the works to convert it into an accommodation facility. The general part has been completed by recovering the entire stone facade. Two housing units are already available.
The final project includes six apartments, two double rooms, a party room with a fully equipped kitchen, a large garden sloping towards the forest, a swimming pool, and a small wellness center. The original furnishings have been recovered for the interiors, and the ancient press has also been restored.
In the 2016 season, the following are available:
- An apartment - "The Lavender Rooms" - consisting of a living room with a kitchenette, dining area, double sofa bed, bathroom, and double bedroom.
- A double room - "The Wisteria Room".
What makes staying at the Historic Residence "Tino's Dream" special is the combination of village and countryside.
In fact, you are in the center of the town of Cabernardi but immersed in the Marche countryside.
To the southeast, the view is on the main street: a few steps away are the Church, the "Mining Museum", the village club, and Chicco and Fabiola's Emporium.

The structure is very beautiful and well-kept in every detail. It is located in a quiet position, but convenient to reach villages and art cities, places immersed in nature and above all the Frasassi caves, our main destination during the stay. Perfect and strategic for excursions in delightful places, quiet, small but very well-kept. Only breakfast is missing, but the pastry shops in Sassoferrato more than make up for it! We will be back with friends from other regions. When possible.

We are very satisfied with our stay, truly a dream for us coming from a chaotic city. Absolute silence that helped us recharge from a year of hard work, a brand new and very well-equipped residence (what we particularly appreciated is the very efficient underfloor heating, so much so that we always walked barefoot), welcoming and finely finished rooms, new sanitary facilities and always very hot water, a stunning view of the hills, and also a tavern heated by a beautiful fireplace and very well stocked. We recommend this property to families looking for an economical but very advantageous solution in terms of quality/price. We will definitely come back, maybe at Easter.

In the heart of the Marche region, in a quiet and peaceful village perched on a hill, offering a breathtaking panorama: the B&B, small but welcoming and very clean, is ideal for those seeking some peace, away from the hustle and bustle of big cities. Having a car is necessary to reach (easily in 20-30 minutes) the main attractions of the area, from the enchanting Frasassi caves to the beautiful towns of Sassoferrato and Fabriano.
