La Perla del Conero

Stones and precious gems symbolize energy and passions. That's how they become objects that can somehow influence our emotional sphere.

I chose this theme for my bed and breakfast, La Perla del Cònero, because here you will find the colors that will surround you inside our rooms. But here you will also find the colors of the seasons of the Riviera del Cònero, the true jewel of the Adriatic.

The blinding yellow of the broom, the perennial and intense green of Mount Cònero, a protected park for many years, the blue of the sky blending into the always Blue Flag sea, the ruby of the grapes that will give birth to the Rosso Cònero and the fragrant lavender in an atmosphere reminiscent of Impressionism. The dream coves of Sirolo with their white rocks resemble Greece and Sardinia, while the golden stretches of coarse sand (that doesn't stick!) in Marcelli and Numana seem like oceanic beaches. Surfers and sailors bring the sea to life on windy days.

In Marcelli di Numana, our family, the Aquilantis, has been living for many years. Before the tourist development, when the peasant culture was just starting to embrace the resources of the sea. The beaches were then plots of "land" frequented only by local fishermen and on occasions of trips to the sea by the locals and citizens on holidays such as Easter Monday.

La Perla del Cònero is newly built and located in the elevated residential area of Marcelli di Numana, a panoramic, green, well-kept, private, very quiet neighborhood that is lively because it is inhabited by residents all year round. From the large terrace, the view delights us with a wide view of Cònero, Sirolo, Numana, and their beautiful sea, both under the sun and the moon.

You will feel at home here with me, I am Marco. Always with an extra thought, like fresh and refreshing fruit when you return from the sea, water, tea, and coffee whenever you want.

For breakfast, you will always find hot and cold milk, coffee, tea, barley, various fruit juices, plain and fruit yogurts, various types of cereals, dry biscuits, cakes, fresh brioches, bread, butter, various jams, honey, Nutella, and rusks. Not bad to start the day.

The rooms are equipped with every comfort and service, you will have a private bathroom with a shower, shampoo, hand soap, and a hairdryer, a fridge where provided, WiFi, LCD TV, and air conditioning. For the kitchen, you can use the large common space available to guests. Children included, for whom we have dedicated basic services for a peaceful vacation to share with their parents.

The sea is 700 meters away, reachable on foot in 7-8 minutes. In the evening, when the beach returns its warmth, you will return "home" where a refreshing breeze will welcome you. We have special agreements with various bathing establishments that will offer you discounts on sunbeds and umbrellas if you say you are guests of our bed and breakfast. Here, there is a bar-restaurant, a playground for children, a beach volleyball court, and lots of cheerfulness, in a familiar and serene atmosphere.

Alternatively, you can reach the marina of Numana from where beautiful excursions and sunset aperitifs depart, by boat with bubbles and the typical "moscioli" mussels! A delicacy and a unique moment. For the more sporty, there are opportunities for amazing diving days thanks to diving centers and the wonderful nature. You can't miss the evening stroll along the streets of Numana and Marcelli, Sirolo, the "romantic" one with its maze of alleys overlooking the sea, Portonovo and its secret bay, and then a fabulous beach, the most beautiful of all, where the cliffs of the Two Sisters stand out, which from afar and from a certain angle reveal themselves to be Sisters in prayer naturally carved into the stone by the erosion of the sea and wind. All this is within reach and worth experiencing with renewed amazement.

Further on, 10 minutes away, is the mystical Loreto, home to the Holy House of the Madonna carried by angels, Recanati, the birthplace of Giacomo Leopardi and Beniamino Gigli, Castelfidardo, the city of the accordion, Camerano and its amazing caves, the beautiful Osimo, the castle of Offagna where the colossal historical reenactment takes place. A little further inland, if you feel like taking a slightly longer trip, the Esino Valley and its castles where the endemic Verdicchio, a strong and passionate white wine, dominates the landscape. At the end of the valley, there are the Frasassi Caves, a unique underground complex in the world, set against a Grand Canyon-like backdrop.

Beauties of a quiet territory, human-sized, without the stress caused by large crowds.

But if it's the nightlife that interests you, just go to Ancona, Senigallia, Portorecanati, or Civitanova, full of trendy venues catering to all tastes.

The Riviera del Cònero, our land, a cross between land and sea, rich in wonderful flora and fauna endemism, is a condensed part of a typical Mediterranean context. This is also reflected in the gastronomy of the area. Yes, here you eat well, both seafood and land dishes. All kinds of restaurants are at your disposal, whether for a moonlit dinner or a pizza with family or friends. There is something for everyone between these two extremes.
