It all began in the 1970s when my parents purchased this splendid farmhouse. Over time, we opened this place to guests from all over the world, giving birth to the Wisteria Bed & Breakfast, your B&B in Ancona.
A corner of the Marche region nestled in the greenery of the panoramic village of Montesicuro, just a few kilometers from the center of Ancona and the beautiful Riviera del Conero.
Mother Ingrid is still the heart of this place, but the task and honor of carrying it forward have now passed into my hands, along with the values that guide it: hospitality, local products, love, and respect for the environment.

The Wisteria B&B welcomes you in a typical and finely restored farmhouse, featuring three charming and uniquely decorated colorful rooms.

The property is surrounded by our enchanting garden, equipped with sun loungers, gazebos, barbecue, and tables. So you can relax in the midst of nature without giving up comfort. In the morning, you will be served a rich breakfast, made precious by the products from our orchard, complemented by typical local cheeses and cold cuts. In short, a farm-to-table experience to start your vacation day off right!

The Wisteria B&B offers you TV and board games in the common room, as well as free Wi-Fi connection.

If you love animals, this is the place for you and your children, who can admire our lovely donkey Mina and our friendly pets. Enjoy your stay!

B&B and Hotel...but what's the difference?
"It's the same difference between an artisanal panettone and an industrial one. You don't even ask yourself why one costs 20 euros and the other 3 euros because it's obvious, right? Well, in a B&B, bed linen and towels are carefully washed and hung on the clothesline in the sun; the rooms are thoroughly aired every day; cleaning a room takes one hour compared to the 15 minutes expected from a hotel maid; sweet treats and jams for breakfast are prepared by the hostess with fresh eggs and fruits, perfectly ripe and strictly sourced from the surrounding countryside, the same foods that the hostess's family consumes. "

FARM COMPANY
Inside our B&B, there is the "Il Glicine e la Farfalla" farm company. On our five-hectare patch of land in the Marche hills, many high-quality products are born, which are then present in your breakfasts. Our tree fruits include apricots, cherries, figs, mandarin oranges, delicious lemons, apples, quinces, pomegranates, mulberries, pears, American grapes, and sour cherries. The aromatic herbs from our garden include laurel, chives, basil, parsley, rosemary, and sage. We also provide fresh eggs from our hens. A wide range of jams is available to accompany sweet or savory dishes. Among them, you'll find classics like strawberry or apricot jam, citrus jams like lemon and mandarin, as well as more refined combinations such as pumpkin and cinnamon jam or lemon and rosemary jam. Countless different versions to always experience new flavors. Our liqueurs and grappas are flavored with the fruits of our land.

THE ROOMS
In our Bed & Breakfast, you can choose from three charming rooms that stand out for their different colors and atmospheres. Each room has a private bathroom with a hairdryer, single-use samples, and shower gel. Additionally, each room is equipped with an electric kettle with tea, chamomile, and herbal teas, bed linen and towels (changed weekly), a house newspaper, maps, and tourist brochures, as well as free Wi-Fi. Weekly cleaning is included in the price, while midweek cleaning requires an additional fee. Check-in time: 19: 00 - 22: 00. Check-out time: by 09: 30. (*) Closure period: From January 1st to January 7th inclusive. From November 1st to November 15th inclusive. From December 24th to December 31st inclusive. The price includes a classic sweet breakfast, bed linen, and towels with weekly change. Salty breakfasts and special dietary requirements are possible but only by reservation. The local tourist tax is not included and must be paid on-site (Adults: EUR 0. 50 per person per night; Children under 14 years old are exempt).

MINIMUM Stay:

2 nights in April and May
3 nights during Easter, June, July, and September
7 nights in August (during this period, it's possible to book for fewer nights, but only as last-minute reservations).

SERVICES
A rich breakfast, made special by our delicious local products, is served in the morning from 08: 00 to 09: 00. During the beautiful season, you can enjoy it in the garden under the wisteria or in a romantic gazebo. In winter or in case of bad weather, it will be served in a lounge on the first floor with a fireplace or in our bright veranda. The classic sweet Italian breakfast is included in the room price. Salty breakfast or specific dietary requirements should be reserved in advance. The Wisteria B&B provides various shared spaces for its guests, both indoors and outdoors, such as a lounge with TV and board games, and a large garden equipped with sun loungers, deck chairs, tables, gazebos, and a barbecue. We are committed to respecting the environment by using pesticide-free products and meeting the needs of our guests, making their stay as comfortable as possible, thanks to:

EVENTS
Every year, on the last Saturday of July, the Wisteria B&B organizes the traditional piglet party. We all gather in our garden to enjoy good food and good company, accompanied by the beautiful fireworks of the Offagna medieval festivals. Our B&B can also be reserved for private events, both large and small, such as birthdays, business breakfasts, baptisms, bachelorette parties, communions, graduation parties, and diplomas. It is a magical place surrounded by greenery, perfect for finding a peaceful space and celebrating the beautiful moments of life.

ANCONA AND SURROUNDINGS
The beauty of our B&B is that we are a small green island on the hills, just a few kilometers from various tourist attractions. This way, we can guarantee tranquility and contact with nature while also providing the opportunity to visit nearby places of enviable beauty, both in the city and beyond. Ancona and its surroundings, for example, offer a lot to visitors, such as the city center with its Romanesque Cathedral, churches, museums, and the fabulous Teatro delle Muse. And if you want to please not only your eyes but also your taste buds, you can't miss trying the local gastronomic specialties, such as ciauscolo (a type of salami), crescia fogliata or sotto la cenere (local bread specialties), stuffed olives, cheese di fossa (a type of aged cheese), stoccafisso all'anconetana (Ancona-style stockfish), and much more. Near our property, you will find the village of Offagna, where medieval festivals take place every end of July; the town of Polverigi, where the witches' festival is held in September; Castel d'Emilio with its city walls; Osimo with its impressive walls and underground tunnels; and finally, Castelfidardo, the city of the accordion. Sea lovers can visit the famous Riviera del Conero with its beautiful beaches and crystal-clear sea. Particularly noteworthy are Numana, Sirolo, Marcelli, Portonovo, Senigallia, and Porto Recanati, with its Swabian castle. The Conero Regional Park, perched directly above the sea, offers various nature trails in contact with flora and fauna. Not far away, we also have the Frasassi Caves, one of Italy's most famous karst complexes; Recanati, the city of Giacomo Leopardi; the Basilica of Loreto, an ancient pilgrimage site of the Catholic world and one of the few churches with an attached garrison castle. Not far from our B&B, you will also find the "Palaindoor" (known for athletic competitions and contests), the Conero Stadium (also known as "Palarossini"/"Palaprometeo"), the Navy selection center, the Ancona Sud highway exit, the train station, the port of Ancona, and several shopping centers.
