Description

The B&B Porta Augustea is located in the heart of the historical center of Fano, a short distance from the sea (600 meters) and the important Arco d'Augusto, which leads to the ancient Fanum Fortunae through the Via Flaminia.

Our B&B consists of independent rooms with private bathrooms (not inside the room), within a historical building surrounded by a large garden and with internal parking.

Breakfast is prepared and served in the large common room, reserved for our guests, and can be requested for a fee upon arrival.

Private parking is available, upon reservation, for guests who desire it. In addition, guests can use the common room and the underlying garden to relax and enjoy their stay.

Every morning we prepare a rich buffet with a wide selection of sweet and savory products: brioches, toasted bread, jams, butter,, cereals, fruit juices, yogurt, fresh fruit, cakes, fresh meats. All genuine and quality products that will be offered to you from 8. 30 am to 9, 00 am in the breakfast room.

The strategic position allows to reach in a few steps all the commercial activities of the historic center (supermarket, newsagent, bookshop, bakery, pizzerias and restaurants, bars etc.)

To visit nearby: the Roman Walls with the famous Arch of Augustus, the Malatesta Fortress, the Teatro della Fortuna, the Federician Library, the Pinacoteca and the Museo Civico Malatestiano, the wonderful church of San Francesco and the statue of the Lysippus located on the seafront.

We are 10 minutes walk from the train station (900 meters), 5 km from the motorway exit and 45 km from the airport of Ancona Falconara (AOI).

Lovely stay in Fano! The bed was comfortable and the space was tidy. Though there were other folks staying while I was there, I did not hear them save for the occasional door opening. Beatrice was a kind host. Though I booked for breakfast, it was not an amenity that was available. There are many coffee shops around to visit: my favorites were Caffè Centrale and Piccolo Café! I recommend bringing slippers for the hallway traverse to the bathroom. All in all, I will stay here when I return to visit my friends.

What can I say, Beatrice is truly wonderful. She manages everything with great care, cleanliness is excellent, even the stairs leading to the building are shiny. The plants are well taken care of and they reflect a person's soul when everything is looked after. The structure and rooms are enchanting, with refined and welcoming decor. Additionally, Beatrice is available to recommend places to visit in the beautiful Fano. Thank you Beatrice 😘.

We stayed for only one night and were very satisfied. The accommodation is right in the city on the 2nd floor. Everything is very clean and the hostess is very friendly. The breakfast is above average.

Great welcome from Beatrice, there are two flights of stairs to climb, but it was not a problem for me. Anyway, there is an electric lift for luggage! Located right in the center, very central, quiet, and very clean. The external bathroom might not be very hot (the radiators were off), but the room was perfectly air-conditioned and independently adjustable. Very comfortable bed and pillows. If I ever had to come back to Fano, I know where to stay.

What a beautiful place. Beatrice is a lovely host who does everything to make you feel comfortable. Location is perfect, right in the historic centre of Fano, and you park your car securely just there. Our room, Octavia, was nice, spacious and super clean, the bathroom big and all works well. Fluffy towels and tea/coffee making facilities are there. I can only recommend the place.

Spacious and very clean room, apparently just renovated, well furnished, bright and very pleasant. Also, the bathroom is very large and spotless. We had not booked breakfast, but there is still a kettle with cups, tea, and instant coffee in the room. The owner is very welcoming and helpful. The location is excellent: right in the center and close to the sea.

The bed and breakfast is located inside a beautiful historic building. The cleanliness of the entire structure is impeccable to say the least! Mrs. Beatrice was extremely kind, she provided us with all the useful information to move around the city and prepared a delicious and rich breakfast for us. It’s simply a wonderful place with a wonderful host - we were here already in 2019 and decided to go again. Felt totally safe in regards to COVID, like last year it was beyond clean and all measures were taken very seriously. \nThe flat is in the middle of the center, few steps from the beach and Beatrice is just a perfect host who provides a wonderful atmosphere and excellent breakfast! We are regular customers. We recommend the Porta Augustea structure. Welcoming and practical, in the historic center 10 minutes walk from the sea and close to all services even in winter, cozy and spacious rooms equipped with all comforts.
