Located in the small hamlet of Prataccio (also known as Pradaccio), “Ai piedi del Catria B&B Pradaccio” is an old residence whose walls have stood since the 16th century, dating back to the time of the first pastoral settlements in this area. Until the final years of the last century, life in this house followed the rhythms of nature and its close bond with animals, which were the primary source of livelihood.
As recently as 70 years ago, the house was still used with a storage room on the upper floor, a stable for oxen, cows and sheep on the lower floor, and as a home for two families in the remaining rooms.
Fully restored in its current form in 2022, “Ai piedi del Catria B&B Pradaccio” now offers its guests three spacious en-suite bedrooms, private parking, a bookcase in every room, a large kitchen where breakfast is served and where guests can relax with a herbal tea or a coffee, perhaps enjoying the lit fireplace throughout the winter season, a ground-floor room dedicated to yoga and meditation, and a front garden with mountain views.

At B&B Ai Piedi del Catria – Pradaccio, every morning begins with an embrace of aromas and warmth: freshly baked pastries, coffee filling the air, and a simple yet carefully set table, perfect for savoring each moment slowly, while in winter the fireplace fills the room with light and coziness.
We pay special attention to every guest: in addition to vegetarian breakfasts, upon request we prepare vegan treats and options for those with gluten or lactose intolerance, so that everyone can start the day feeling welcomed and pampered.

Although my family is not originally from Frontone, I have spent a great deal of time in this area since I was a child. In fact, my parents were married 50 years ago at the Eremo di Fonte Avellana and later purchased an old hay barn in this area. Restoring the barn together with my father created in me a strong sense of belonging to these places, and from then on I frequented Frontone more and more often, until I purchased this house in 2020 and restored it with passion.
I have been passionate about music since I was a child and I cultivate this interest by studying several musical instruments. Since 2022 I have been living in this house with my wife Suzana, and I truly enjoy sharing it with passing guests, striving to offer them the best possible stay in this valley full of nature.

The property is located 2 km from the village of Frontone, on the only road that connects Frontone to the ski lifts leading to Monte Acuto, which are just 1 km away from here. One of the two roads leading to the Eremo di Fonte Avellana also starts right in front of the property. A river flows along the road, and its pleasant sound can be heard from our garden as well, especially during the winter period, when the flow of clear water coming down from the mountains is stronger. The surrounding area is characterized by stone houses, abundant greenery, mountains, fresh and clean air, and plenty of nature.
