Valmalencoalpina® was established in 2004 as a result of Ivan's visionary approach, transforming his love for the mountains into a profession as an Alpine Guide.

For two decades, Ivan has accompanied clients to mountainous destinations all around the world.

Driven by this passion, the idea of creating an authentic and welcoming place in Caspoggio was born.

With great care, Ivan adapted his uncle's house in the historic center of the village to serve as a hospitable retreat.

The meticulous attention to detail, overseen by his brother and artist Michele, has made this house truly unique. A stay in our B&B promises to be a magical experience.

Our house dates back to the early 1600s, and we have made every effort to preserve its original architectural features.

Stone and wood are the predominant elements in our restoration project.

The size of the structure is in harmony with the historical context, allowing you to experience the intimacy of mountain life from a bygone era.

The old district of "Bergum" will embrace you, and our house will serve as your splendid refuge.

I am Ivan,
Alpine Guide of Valmalenco, Mountain Rescue Technician and Nurse.

In 2004 I founded Valmalencoalpina®, a wonderful reality that has made me and my clients travel all over the world and in our beautiful mountains.

With my family 2 years ago we started this project to redevelop the beautiful little house in the centre of Caspoggio and thus our B&B was born.

The management is assisted by my family members with the same passion and dedication.

In addition to the aesthetic beauty of the house and our rooms, we would like to convey the energy of our welcome.

Our B&B is located in the ancient contrada 'ai Bergum' in the historic centre of Caspoggio.
It is one of the earliest settlements in our pleasant village, where the houses are set one on top of the other according to the ancient architectural structure.
We have also built a small wellness centre in the same style.

We are 100 m from car parks and the main activities, which you can easily reach on foot.

Our house also has a small private garden as a small courtyard.

Wonderful place to relax.

Ideal place for those looking for some relaxation and to get away from the hustle and bustle of daily life. Ivan and his wife (the hosts) are very friendly and helpful. The cleanliness and comfort of the room are definitely excellent, everything well cared for and tastefully furnished. The relaxation area with sauna and hot tub was reserved only for us, a gem. The breakfast, in our opinion, could have offered more, but overall we returned relaxed and happy. Thank you from the bottom of our hearts, Ivan and his wife.

All necessary information was given to us with sufficient notice and the staff was always very helpful and kind. At the time of booking we were sent a very useful PDF containing various information(parking near the hotel, recommendations for restaurants/activities, how the B&B is organized, etc.). The room(we stayed in the Masun) was nice, clean and fragrant. Breakfast was varied and tasty, with homemade pastries and typical products such as cheeses and bresaola.

I had a really pleasant stay at this B&B! The room was extremely cozy, furnished with modern taste and equipped with everything needed. Breakfast was a true pleasure: plentiful, varied and served with care. But what really made the difference were the owners, always very kind and helpful. Another unbeatable strong point was the cleanliness. Perfect in every detail. Highly recommended for those seeking comfort, courtesy and attention to detail. I really hope to have the chance to return.

The structure is small and welcoming. The renovation using the combination of wood and stone is beautiful. Rooms are clean and comfortable. Abundant breakfast, both sweet and savory. Friendly staff attentive to the guests. It was only two days, but it felt like more. Thank you.

The structure and location deserve a 10 and praise. Everything is taken care of in the smallest details in the historic center of Caspoggio, the pearl of Valmalenco. There are no flaws to report, the price is high but it is definitely worth it. Such a beautiful place might deserve a few extra touches for breakfast, which is already abundant and of high quality.

We stayed at this property in the center of Caspoggio for one night. Wonderful room designed in every little detail, quiet and very clean. The property also has a small private garden with a table and chairs to enjoy the fresh air. Breakfast made with homemade products, there is not a wide choice but it focuses more on genuineness and quality. Highly recommended!

We stayed at Valmalencoalpina in Caspoggio for two nights. We had the Bernina room, which had a lot of character. Not only the room but the entire structure is carefully maintained in every detail. The carpentry work is done in the style of the place and with extraordinary attention. The hosts were very kind, friendly, and helpful. The facilities, cleanliness, and breakfast were also excellent. Our highlight was the wellness area, small but well equipped, which we reserved for two hours. A very idyllic house in a quiet location surrounded by mountain peaks. It was our first visit but certainly not the last.

Everything is very beautiful! The rooms "smell nice", the exterior is well-kept and private, the village of Caspoggio, although small, offers everything, it is quiet, peaceful, and well-maintained.

Everything is perfect, I would just add a few more suggestions for breakfast, otherwise the B&B is really beautiful. The spa is a gem and private use makes it the best! The location is very convenient and inside the village you can really breathe the air of the past. We will return at Christmas.

The structure is brand new, entirely made of wood and stone. The rooms are very comfortable and have a typical mountain appearance. We felt very good, and our little dog also appreciated the small garden just outside our room. Very convenient for the little dog.

The structure is located in the very center of the beautiful village of Caspoggio. It is a renovation of a historical building and maintains the typical style of mountain houses: wood and stone with a very well-kept effect. The room we used was functional, with a very accurate furnishing style and effective lighting, especially in the bathroom. The breakfast is very abundant and entirely made with local products. The owner told us that they are working to improve sustainability, producing only one plastic bag per month. For those who wish to explore Valcamonica, it is undoubtedly an excellent base.

What can I say? Love, passion, kindness. A splendid nest, welcoming, warm, with the scent of wood. Ivan and Isa, two wonderful people. The breakfast is excellent and plentiful, and the sauna is a treat at the end of the day. We recommend it one thousand percent. We will return.

The B&B run by Ivan is excellent. It has been perfectly renovated with reclaimed wood with a lot of love. It has a very special atmosphere. It smells pleasantly of wood. The bathroom is very nice. The shower is perfect. We slept very well. The breakfast was very abundant. We received a welcome beer from Ivan and many tips for our hikes in Valmalenco. Ivan was always available for us. We were a group of 6 men who stayed in three rooms. We can highly recommend the B&B. The Scoiattolo restaurant was only about 100 meters away from the B&B, which we can also recommend.

Beautiful structure recently built that smells of wood and natural aromas. The room is really beautiful and well structured. Large and complete bathroom. The breakfast must say rich and well presented, with the offer of additional dishes in addition to those displayed. The manager always available and of exquisite courtesy. Buongiorno Alessandro grazie mille per la vostra recensione. Ho visto un giudizio non molto soddisfacente circa il rapporto qualità prezzo e in merito alla colazione. Per la colazione mi piacerebbe chiedervi cortesemente in cosa possiamo migliorare così che ci si possa adeguare alle esigenze dei nostri ospiti. Per quanto riguarda la qualità prezzo la nostra struttura costa circa 15-20€ in più a notte rispetto alle strutture presenti in zona la maggior parte delle quali vecchie di 50 anni e con una gestione meno attenta. Noi abbiamo fatto anche una scelta di tipo ecologico sia nella ristrutturazione con costi enormi, nonché nella gestione per questo i costi dei prodotti della colazione nonché la scelta di non avere menù troppo ricchi onde evitare sprechi di cibo o di dover sopperire con cibo di qualità scadente. Grazie mille Ivan e Isa.

Ivan is very competent throughout the Valmalenco area: capable of giving targeted advice on all kinds of activities, even considering everyone's abilities and desires. Only remark: the cost for the SPA is untraceable, and instead should be clearly highlighted and not be a mystery.

Good structure in the historical center of Caspoggio, in the ancient village. The structure is well taken care of in every detail, with a wood scent that envelops you as soon as you step through the threshold. We stayed in the Bernina room, where my 11-year-old son had a separate and comfortable sleeping area. Everything is tailored and designed to offer maximum comfort, the renovation respects both the historical aspect of the structure and the idea of a mountain accommodation, without giving up a touch of modernity. We were welcomed by Isa, kind and professional. The breakfast is very rich and served with kindness by Isa's sister. My son, who loves savory breakfast, was very happy to eat freshly scrambled eggs, good cheese, and excellent bresaola. My partner and I enjoyed an excellent buckwheat tart, not to mention yogurt, muesli, cereals, biscuits, rusks, Nutella, honey, jams, etc. Isa's husband, Ivan, in addition to assisting me with the reservation, being an alpine guide (Valmalencoalpina), took us on a pleasant sunset snowshoeing excursion. You can turn to him for any excursions. He was professional, competent, and provided us with a lot of useful and interesting information about the area and beyond. In conclusion, it was a perfect weekend! Thank you very much.

My partner and I stayed at this property last week and it was a dream: brand new and really beautiful structure. We booked the spa which is given for exclusive use for a couple of hours: beautiful, it's really worth it. Excellent breakfast with everything you could wish for, served inside a room with a truly intimate and welcoming fireplace. We felt really pampered and will be back soon.

Brand new facility in an old renovated mountain house with great attention to traditional local materials (wood and stone) and aesthetics, located in the historic center of the village. Truly beautiful and unique, soon to be equipped with a small spa, very charming and always in the style of the building. Abundant and quality breakfast even for those with food intolerances, served in a friendly and sympathetic atmosphere. Great attention is paid to the environment by eliminating plastic in favor of glass and less polluting materials. Absolutely pleasant and comfortable. In my opinion, missing: a mirror in the room, entire person and, in the bathroom, the two towels near the sink are accessible only with the door closed. It is not necessarily required to close the door when going to the bathroom, so two additional hooks on the right wall of the sink would be appreciated. Those on the left are not needed. Just a small thing as you can see but if I really have to say something... that's all. Excellent hospitality.

La casa ha più di 400 anni nella sua struttura quindi è difficilissimo studiare e combinare le soluzioni in locali così articolati. Pensi che gli appendini degli asciugamani erano dove ce li suggerite e dopo 3 richieste di spostarli li abbiamo messi dove sono ora. Quindi imaginare cosa pensano i nostri ospiti in anticipo è davvero difficile. Metterne troppi non va bene perché si possono urtare inavvertitamente. Insomma facciamo il possibile per afre attenzione ai dettagli ma non è facile 🙈🤪🙏🙏😉 comunque grazie proveremo a rivederli ... speriamo di avervi di nuovo nostri ospiti e grazie di tutto

Ivan's new B&B in the old part of Caspoggio is an amazing place, quiet and relaxing. Warm hospitality, great facility - very stylish, very very nice, run by the whole lovely family. We absolutely loved it. Ivan is also a great help for trails and activities around. The pizza 30 meters from the B&B is also great and the parking is close.
