We stayed only one night in the two-room apartment, which includes, in addition to the bedroom and bathroom on the upper floor, a kitchenette with a sofa on the ground floor. The property is really beautiful, just a few kilometers by car from Pavia, also convenient for visiting the Certosa di Pavia. Guests can enjoy different areas of the house for relaxation and reading, including the garden. The breakfast is sweet and abundant and is served in the dining room next to the kitchen. The owners are kind, welcoming, and helpful. Payment is only in cash or bank transfer, which we were able to make even after leaving the property. The parking is on the road. The common area is very large and of great charm, relaxing. The room is very practical and very comfortable and spacious for two people. Less practical is the bathroom where the shower is with a curtain inside the bathtub. Some small details of the room could be improved: the cleaning on the floor and dust on the furniture, the bathroom bin was broken, toothbrush holder and soap holder are a bit old and not very clean. It is advisable to bring shampoo and shower gel as the ones provided are not sufficient for two people. The refrigerator, although we did not use it, was not empty. It still had food from previous guests inside. Small details that are compensated by the spectacular environment and the great availability of the owners. Highly recommended.

Excellent welcome, very distinguished good structure.

We were hosted in a very special and familiar way, the couple who is owning the house are very friendly and helpful. The breakfast was very good and the house is amazing, wonderful architecture, nice artworks, very cosy and clean ambiente. We will definitely come back also when visiting Milano, it is definitely worth making the distance.

I slept in absolute silence in a single room for one night. Comfortable room. The owner is very kind, elegant and complete breakfast. Beautiful structure full of charm, I hope to be able to come back with my wife!

Beautiful structure, tastefully furnished and excellent hospitality.

Courtesy and availability.

Overall it is a very nice location. A nicely renovated former farmer's house, in a very quiet place on the outskirts of Pavia. The only suggestion for improvement concerns breakfast: it would be ideal to have more typical local food.

I stayed at this property in September 2022. I appreciated its location, very quiet but a short distance from the center, easily reachable by car. The room was clean and cozy, I rested very well and in the morning I had a hearty breakfast. Delightful company of the landlady.

Great welcome and hospitality. Beautiful environment, wonderful house.

We were welcomed by the managers, two exquisite people, in a warm and affectionate way. The structure is very beautiful and immersed in greenery and tranquility. Located in an excellent position to reach Genoa and Milan. We stayed for two days. An enchanting place of pure relaxation. Thanks again to Gabriella and Gianfranco for all their advice on where to go and what to see.

Gabriela and Giancarlo are lovely. They gave us very useful information. Very patient with our Italian and delicious homemade cakes. The decoration of the house deserves to spend a few minutes admiring it. Beautiful inner garden.

The structure, surprisingly artistic, the slightly decentralized position from the City, which can still be reached in a few minutes by car and, last but not least, the cordial welcome of the Managers, make it an ideal place for those who want to spend a weekend in tranquility and visit the splendid Pavia and the famous Certosa... (but the places of interest are truly numerous and all well worth a visit)... Renè and Odinea.

The interior of the house is really beautiful. Probably an old farmhouse renovated with choices by professional interior designers. Large room with dedicated bathroom but reachable from the corridor. Small billiard room to spend the last part of the evening. Breakfast more than abundant (at least for us) with the very kind lady acting as a host. Competitive price compared to other B&Bs that discounts being in a neighborhood outside the city itself, still reachable by car in a few minutes. Recommended.

We had a great time at The alle Cinque! Enchanting place and kind, welcoming, and friendly owners. We were on a bike trip with our 3 children, and the place was perfect for the Pavia stopover. We recommend it, and we will definitely come back.

Noteworthy is the availability of the managers and the uniqueness of the structure. It was a real pleasure to meet Gabriela and Giancarlo; we played bocce and piano. The house is full of life and care, and we felt welcomed and pampered. They allowed us to park the bikes inside the courtyard. The breakfast was also very good, with an exquisite sponge cake. We will definitely come back.

Very kind managers. Very special and interesting house. Nice surprise the billiard. All good.

A more than pleasant stay: the owners welcomed us with grace, sympathy, and availability in their elegant and welcoming home. If there will be an opportunity to stay in Pavia again, we will certainly return to The alle Cinque.

The only problem is that it doesn't accept credit cards.

Beautiful, very original structure, meticulously cared for in every detail, a quantity of objects and paintings (many painted by the owner) in perfect balance with each other, the rooms and services are clean and comfortable, the breakfast is abundant and always varied, accompanied by a very pleasant background of classical music. We felt immediately after a few minutes, from the first chat with the hosts, pampered like at home, we breathed cordiality, good mood, and a family atmosphere. The managers are a lovely and very good company couple, always ready to fulfill any request. We will keep a very pleasant memory of Gabriela and Giancarlo. Beautiful structure managed by wonderful people. Fantastic rooms. Really impressive quality-price ratio. It really feels like home even if it's a bit far from the center; every time I stop in Pavia, it will be my fixed destination. I absolutely recommend it.

Lovely retreat: original renovation of an ancient farmhouse that the owners, architects and artists, have taken care of in every detail. Pampered like at home, we breathed cordiality, good humor, and a family atmosphere. Beauty always arises from sensitivity and intelligence. Pavia is nearby, but also the rice fields and grey herons. A very pleasant opportunity that we wish for everyone.

When you arrive, seen from the street, it doesn't look like much, but once you step through the door it's a different story, a renovated farmhouse with boldness and great taste. Charming owners, a superb room and a private bathroom... classy! Our best night out of the 9 we spent in Italy and the cheapest. To top it off, Pavia, which is not in the Top 5 Italian cities, has a lot of charm and really deserves to be discovered.

We have been to this property 3 times, and each time it remains a pleasant surprise. It is a truly unique place and full of details. The managers are a lovely couple and very good company, always ready to fulfill any request. The billiards remains a great alternative to cold winter days.

Among all the Bed and Breakfasts I've stayed in, I consider 'The alle Cinque' to be one of the best, both for the magnificent structure and the welcoming atmosphere: you simply feel at home and it primarily conveys a sense of tranquility and serenity. I recommend it to everyone.

The alle Cinque has a warm welcoming atmosphere with very friendly and helpful hosts. Will be returning soon. Just make sure you have clear directions when traveling by road to The alle Cinque as there are no signs for the B&B.

The photographs available online, although already very beautiful, do not fully capture the beauty of the structure. The area, extremely quiet, is well connected to the center by a convenient shuttle bus, so the fact that it is not centrally located is not a problem, even for those who do not travel by car. The cherry on top, however, are definitely the owners, with delightful courtesy and availability.

This is a lovely place to stay. I chose to stay here as my first stop arriving at Milan Malpensa from Australia. I am glad to have visited Pavia. The owners were really helpful with suggested places to visit and advice about where to eat. I had some of the best food for my whole visit to Italy while I was here based on the owners' recommendations - Yum. The house is lovely and has a big peaceful garden. It was a little hard to find the property. I drove around in circles for a while and needed to ask locals for directions. Overall, I felt very well looked after here as a solo traveller and I would highly recommend a stay here and a visit to Pavia.

A unique place of its kind, a modern farmhouse very close to the center of Pavia. Exceptional owners, a joy to talk to them and breathe the air of their lived-in home! I would say excellent location.

I stayed in this B&B with my husband and my two dogs, temporarily for one night, but due to necessity I will return staying for more days. I met the owner in person, a kind, helpful and extremely courteous person. The structure is in a very clever location six minutes from the center of Pavia. The only downside is that the navigator struggles to find it, some help in this sense if you set it as the arrival point via Lardirago 131, paying attention to the last 500 meters. Regards.

I had already fallen in love with this B&B while browsing their website: the original and catchy name, the greenery of the garden, the elegant yet warm decor of the rooms, the tea at five, which seemed like a nice custom! However, when I met the owners, Gabriela and Giancarlo (from which G&G), it was true love: two cultured yet simple, sunny, welcoming people. Affectionate yet discreet, available yet never intrusive, with two big hearts and two great minds. While staying in their home (because it is not just a room to sleep in, a bathroom to refresh yourself, and a table to have breakfast: these people provide you with their entire environment and their people), you feel like part of a family. The possibility of using the entire property, moreover, offers the chance to meet other guests, with the enrichment that comes from each encounter. I slept cradled by the sound of cicadas, waking up rested and full of energy, with a rich breakfast waiting for me in the lush garden. Last observation, on the beauty of the structure and its decor: you never stop discovering new details, one moment you think you have seen the most beautiful thing in absolute, and the next moment you see another, just as beautiful, hidden a little further away. There is a wall split in the center, from which you can look inside; there are tree trunks with sculpted faces to make them smile; ceilings so high that you would need the legs of a lizard to reach them; books napping in the most unexpected corners, breathtaking lofts, a billiard table ready to challenge you and so much more! On the walls, a quantity of objects and paintings (many painted by the owner, truly beautiful!) so heterogeneous that, if you saw them outside of there, you wouldn't think they could fit within the same walls without fighting: yet inside they find a perfect balance, to the point that you could no longer imagine them, each one far from the others. The impression is that of a house that almost has a life of its own, which has decided to share it with those wonderful people who are Gabriela and Giancarlo. While you are there, it feels like living in one of those fairy tales where you arrive in a wonderful land, where everything is perfect, and the protagonist recharges before living new adventures. Only that the tea at five is absolutely real.

The place is truly worth it and is made special and detailed by the two managers who are friendly and very kind, but above all capable of making you feel at home.

Beautiful structure, perfectly managed. The context is worth at least one visit by itself, but by staying there, you can fully savor its particular charm, which is taken care of in every detail. In short, it is worth seeing and trying. You will not make a mistake.

The hospitality of the hosts envelops you with accuracy and makes you feel at ease: you are not a customer, but a person with whom they love to discuss and exchange opinions, you are an opportunity for them, and they are an opportunity for you, a chance that today is unfortunately often ignored in its importance. Everything, however, is done with the utmost discretion and in respect of others' willingness to interact or not with them. The B&B is wonderful and the beauty and elegance of the place as well as the refinement of the interiors reflect the extreme care of the owners (who are two architects that know how to renovate an ancient farmhouse without altering its peculiarities) in wanting to offer a true moment of relaxation to their guests. Everything is taken care of in the smallest details (from the fine linen to the herbal soap), at a decidedly very competitive price for the quality offered. A high-quality stereo system, for high-end audiophiles, allows you to listen to great music of your choice (I like classical music). Finally, it is a must for guests to roam freely and explore any corner without having to ask for permission to do so. I keep a very pleasant memory of them.
