Description

Located in a historic building constructed in 1892, formerly known as "Albergo Cavour," in the central Piazza Cavour, the "Residenza Cavour" is an excellent choice for those who wish to spend a few days on vacation or a short business trip in Como. It is a perfect combination of modern facilities within a historic setting. It is situated right on the lake square.

Breakfast is included in the price and is served at the adjacent bar directly in front of Residenza Cavour, allowing our guests to enjoy their breakfast with a lake view.

Each room has a private bathroom and is characterized by its own unique touch, style, and dominant color. The rooms are furnished with antique furniture and wooden floors, while also equipped with all modern comforts (television, fan, wifi, kettle for tea and coffee).

This property had a wonderful location within a pedestrianized area. It was a short 3-minute walk to the lake. It was also near restaurants, the Cathedral, and a 15-minute walk to Como San Giovanni train station (Como Lago station is even closer). The property was quiet throughout our stay and was very clean and comfortable.

A B&B set in a beautiful residence, the rooms are of good quality and well equipped. Located a stone's throw from the lake and close to the train station, it makes it easy to discover this superb region. The breakfast service provided nearby is of good quality. This place is very close to the boat tickets and boarding point and to city center. Everything is great, breakfast coupons are given for a next door restaurant and the waiter there was a bit grumpy on the day when we visited. Otherwise it was a great place to stay and the host was welcoming.

This is an excellent B&B. It's right in the centre of Como and the streets were very busy, yet once the windows were closed it was very quiet. The room was a good size and the bathroom was completely adequate. The room was on the second floor but there is a small elevator if you have cases to bring up. The host greeted us warmly and was very helpful. She provided us with breakfast vouchers for a small restaurant literally 2 businesses away. The vouchers provided a choice of about 4 different combinations to choose from and they were excellent. In fact, we enjoyed the breakfast so much that on one of the evenings we also went there for dinner, which was also excellent. I would highly recommend this place to explore Como.

We would choose B&B Residenza Cavour again for another stay in Como. Just entering the impressive multi-family house delighted us on each of the 5 days in Como. Our room (No. 2) was stylishly and airy furnished and had a side view, left to the cathedral, right to Piazza Cavour and the lake. The bathroom was a bit tight, but well equipped, and the shower was quite spacious. We really liked the stairwell, and the elevator was very convenient after long walks or with luggage. The contact with Camilla went smoothly. The breakfast at the nearby bistro met our needs. We can recommend the Residenza without reservation.

Simple room but with everything you need: hairdryer, coffee maker, towels, wardrobe... The location of the accommodation couldn't be better, right next to where you buy ferry tickets. Quality price, undoubtedly unbeatable.

It was a great stay in a beautiful place. The apartment is located directly in the center, within walking distance to every place. Breakfast is in a small café across the road. It's a good breakfast at a nice place to sit. Next time in Como we will come back to this place.

I can recommend this B&B to anyone who wants to visit Como for a few days. Central location! Very clean rooms, brand new bathroom. Due to the central location, it gets noisier if you open the windows: you are in a city! For breakfast, if one wishes, there are many cafes in the immediate vicinity. Off to COMO, B&B Residenza Cavour.

Excellent location in Como. Nice space, the bed in the large room is of very good quality, however the sofa bed (we had booked for adults) needs to be changed, mattress too thin and squeaky mechanism. Very clean and very spacious. Good welcome. Thank you.

Totally impressed by the building and our BLUE room, the beds were very comfortable, bathroom modern and all kept spotlessly clean. The location was perfect for the train station, Lake Como, the Funicular, shopping, dining, Christmas market, Magic Light Festival etc. Am hoping to return again next year with more of my family. The residence overlooks the main square which in turn overlooks the lake, the strategic position allows you to reach all points of interest conveniently on foot. Cozy and clean room, kind and helpful staff. In addition, for those who want a safe place to park their car, the Residence can recommend and book a parking space in a garage near the property.
