The B&B "Le dame della Cortesella" is located at 56 via Milano, on the third floor of a typical and ancient Lombard courtyard house.

As you can see from the photos taken from our window, a few steps will separate you from Porta Torre and the ancient medieval walls that enclose the charming historic center. Moreover, you can take advantage of all the conveniences that a location like this can offer (bars, restaurants, supermarkets).

Our B&B is a prestigious residence that relives the emotions of the past, an elegant and unique residence in the originality of its style, an ancient building where echoes of the past meet the comforts of the present.

Breakfast includes coffee, cappuccino, tea and herbal tea, milk and jugs of orange juice and fruit juice.

Little jars of plain yogurt with biscuit base which you can add to your liking hazelnuts, almonds, grain's coconut, chocolate chips, muesli or peaches with syrup.

There is also handmade croissants, bread, cereals, biscuits, honey, jams and single-serving butter.

Breakfast will be served in the 60s style common room, roughly between 8: 00 and 9: 00 a. m.

I love strolling through the stalls of antique markets, fascinated by the thought of how many lives and eras these objects have lived through. Furniture that has passed from home to home, toys that have been passed down from child to child for decades before ending up here in these ever-evolving rooms, because I will never stop enriching them with new details.

A typical and ancient Lombard courtyard house recently renovated, respecting and embracing its characteristics and peculiarities. A house where stone walls and red bricks tell stories of the past, creating a special atmosphere that we hope will give you indelible images to carry with you on your journey.

What I appreciate about this area is that everything is within reach and easily accessible on foot or by bike in just a few minutes. A few steps to reach Porta Torre and access the historic center through the Roman walls, built in the second half of the 12th century.

And the lake.. I will never stop looking at it with wonder, amazement, and gratitude. I observe it, listen to its sweet and calm sound, and realize how lucky I am to have been born and raised in such an evocative place.

We had an absolutely wonderful stay with Ilaria at her beautiful BnB. She was a fantastic host! Prior to arriving, she was available to answer any questions that we had and during our stay she was available to us in this way as well. Her BnB is immaculate, charming, clean and very comfortable. It makes you feel like you are both a guest in Italy and also like you "live" there for a short bit. Her breakfast was delicious and the perfect way to start our day. We slept well and were very happy with both the room and bathroom amenities. The location was ideal - only a few blocks from the pedestrian area of Como and a 15 or so minute walk from the lakefront. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and can't thank Ilaria enough for her attentiveness, guidance, hospitality and sincere care. We look forward to returning one day and enjoying another stay in this gem of a BnB. If you have the opportunity to stay here - you will not regret it!

The building is located in the city center, in close proximity to the city wall that surrounds the old town. An inexpensive parking space is reachable on foot in 5-8 minutes. The apartment is located on the third floor of a residential building with typical Italian charm. We had a very individually furnished room overlooking the street. It was very tidy and clean. The landlady Ilaria is very friendly, helpful, and gave us many tips. The breakfast was good and sufficient - a bit more variety (cheese slices, changing fruit) would enrich it. We felt very comfortable and gladly recommend the accommodation.

We spent 3 nights here. We had a fabulous time. From the beginning Ilaria made a huge effort to give us ideas and directions for things to do / places to eat etc, when to catch the ferries, what to be careful about etc. Each morning she checked what we were planning and if we needed help / advice. We felt that our enjoying our holiday was as important to her as it was to us. The whole place as spotless, she was dedicated to making sure everything was cleaned properly, tidy and perfect. Very well placed B&B for the city centre and only a quick trot down to all the sites in Como or to the quayside to catch the ferries for further afield or the funicular to Brunate. The accommodation is immaculately clean and the bed very comfortable. You won't find a better or more welcoming host than Ilaria. She will help you plan your trip, give you amazing tips about sightseeing and most importantly - where and what to eat. She will also go out of her way to make reservations for you (or call the train line to check if they aren't striking).\n\nAs for the B&B - it was much more than what I could have imagined. The location is perfect - walking distance away from everything important (city center, lake, train station, parking, shops etc.). What can I say, I chose this Bed and Breakfast just from the photos, even those of the breakfast! The good taste and creativity had won me over. And everything was confirmed: beautiful place, very well-kept, very clean; not to mention the cozy breakfast and the owner, Ilaria, very kind. I stayed at this B&B at the beginning of January 2017 in the triple room. The welcome from Ilaria, the girl who runs the Bed, was impeccable, always kind, polite, and helpful. The room was very clean and welcoming, the lights, the underfloor heating, and the sweet perfume in the air made my stay unforgettable. I also really liked the breakfast in the 50s-style kitchen. I recommend this B&B to anyone who wants to spend a vacation in Como in a lovely place that stays in the heart.
