Our house built in 1673 is a typical lake house, full of charm and ideal for a different getaway or vacation.
Completely renovated respecting tradition, we offer three apartments with different types:
"Red apartment", 5 places, bright and with a long balcony overlooking the square and the lake. Ceilings with original frescoes and elegant furnishings are the distinctive feature of this apartment. CIR 012087- CNI - 00006

"Blue apartment", 2 places, small but well-kept and with a unique romantic flavor. Perfect for a couple or singles.

All three apartments are on the same floor and therefore also perfect for large groups who want to spend a holiday together.
A small private internal courtyard is available to guests.
Satellite TV, wireless connection, washing machine on the floor.
A few steps to reach the railway and ferry stations, all the shops and services, the departure of the cable car and the marina.
If you want, you can forget about the car for the entire period of your stay.
Possibility to rent bicycles.
Laveno is easily reachable from Malpensa airport with the Tilo train (7 daily trips and a journey of about 50 minutes).

We are a nice couple in love with our country. My husband Massimo and I (Ciccio for friends) will be happy to give you all the information you can to enjoy a stay on Lake Maggiore.
We are passionate about art, history, cuisine and music and..travel. But we are also capable of being tourists a few steps from home because we are convinced that the real journey lies in the mind. And it's nice to "travel" with the stories of our guests.

Area city center
Laveno is halfway on the Lombard coast of the Lake Maggiore. It’s a strategic place to visit the region of the lakes and the Prealps. Two railway stations connect Laveno with Varese (30 min.), Milan (1h. 20 min.) and the Malpensa Airport. Every 15 min. a ferryboat connects the lombard coast of the lake with the piedmontese coast (Verbania), the Borromean Islands and Stresa. The Cableway of the Lake Maggiore takes you on the top of the Sasso del Ferro mountain (1062 mt.) from where you can admire the majestic panorama of the Region of the Lakes and the Alps.
Laveno lies 20 km. from the swiss border, not far from the Lugano-Agno airport.
The region, rich in art and history, offers countless ways to admire the gifts of the past: the medieval castles, the villas of the XVII century, the botanic gardens, the old mountain villages entirely made of stone, the noble palaces, the romanic monasteries and the baroque Sacro Monte Sanctuaries, protected by the UNESCO.

We had a very good stay in this apartment. It has everything we needed and a romantic atmosphere. Host is really good, friendly, relaxed and willing to help when needed. I would recommend to book here when visiting laveno mombello.

Lovely hosts and welcome and recommendations for things to do in Laveno and surrounding area. The flat has all amenities and is well situated, with a lovely lake view from the kitchen. The only downside for me was that it was quite noisy at night/early in the morning because of the road, but that issue was easily solved with earplugs! Photos on the site are accurate and we had an excellent stay. We would return.

This is a perfect property to stay in at Laveno-Mombello. Alessandra's was a fantastic host, so welcoming and helpful. I was traveling alone and felt very safe and at home. The apartment was right in the center of town, very close to Laveno-Mombello Nord Railway Station. The apartment had everything I needed. I highly recommend it!

I had a wonderful stay with my daughter in Laveno 1963. We received a warm welcome from Alessandra and her husband who gave us all necessary tourist instructions: where to go, where to eat and what to do.
The hotel is situated in the town's center with a quick access to a ferry, a train station and a gondola lift.

Fabulous stay at Laveno 1673. Both Alessandra and Massimo were very hospitable, meeting us at the Laveno-Mombello train station to take us to the bed and breakfast. They try their upmost to make your stay as comfortable and enjoyable as they can.

Charmant appartement, équipé d'une chambre, cuisine équipée, salon, et salle de bain. Très bien accueillie par Alessandra, qui nous a donné des conseils, pour nous garer, les excursions et les restaurants. Elle tient à disposition des guides et plans. L'immeuble est très bien placé, près du lac, avec une charmante cours intérieur ou nous avons pu laisser notre vélo. C'est très propre, et très calme. Très bien !

Alessandra und Massimo sind sehr nette, hilfsbereite Gastgeber;
die Lage ist sehr gut im Zentrum der Kleinstadt Laveno am See, schöne Aussicht, Cafes, Restaurants etc, ganz in der Nähe;
aber die Durchgangsstraße ist morgens/ abends laut, war im Oktober kein großes Problem, da die Fenster zum Innenhof ruhiger sind und ausreichten.

Ich habe im Apartment blue gewohnt - eine sehr schöne kleine Wohnung bei zwei wundervollen Gastgebern. Das Bett war sehr bequem, das ganze Apartment sehr sauber. Alessandra hat mir sogar Eier & Joghurt in den Kühlschrank gestellt. Ich habe mich sehr wohl gefühlt.
Die Lage ist außerdem super zentral, man kann viel fußläufig erreichen.
Ich komme auf jeden Fall wieder!

Casa veramente confortevole, molto carina. L'appartamento rosso per 4 persone ha una bella vista sul lago. È in posizione strategica per la visita al Monte Sasso con la teleferica e vicino all'imbarco del traghetto per Intra, da cui poter raggiungere le isole Borromee.
La sig. ra Alessandra, gentilissima, ci ha accolto a tarda sera e ci ha consigliato i luoghi da visitare e dove poter mangiare.
Sicuramente consigliato.

Abbiamo soggiornato tre giorni a fine ottobre, la stagione ideale per visitare il Lago Maggiore senza stress. L'appartamento è accogliente, funzionale e arredato con gusto. La Sig. a Alessandra è stata gentilissima e disponibile, nonostante non fosse prevista la colazione, ci ha fatto trovare un cestino con tutto il necessario per prepararla. Siamo stati benissimo, torneremo sicuramente.

Io e la mia famiglia abbiamo soggiornato nell'appartamento rosso e ci siamo trovati benissimo. Molto più grande di come appare nelle foto, pulito e curato nei dettagli. Alessandra è molto gentile e disponibile, ci ha dato ottimi consigli per il tour delle isole. Comodo da raggiungere anche se si arriva in treno. Super consigliato!

Abbiamo occupato tutti e tre gli appartamenti per 4 giorni, Alessandra e Massimo sono stati gentilissimi e disponibilissimi. L'edificio è bello e caratteristico e si trova proprio in centro al paese e permette di prendere funivia e traghetto senza spostare l'auto. Un grazie di cuore!

Una dolce e attenta accoglienza da parte di Alessandra. Paesino incantevole anche se nel periodo Pasquale un po' caotico.
Unico neo in questo periodo la mancanza di parcheggi, ma da rifare con qualche giorno in più di vacanza per godersi angoli di pace.

Che ricordi, posto accogliente, eleagnte, vista lago Maggiore molto ben arredato, proprietari gentilissimi nonostante siano passati tanti anni ci tornerei di corsa, ottimo il rapporto qualità prezzo con possibilità anche di sogiorno una sola notte, complimenti.
