Our house built in 1673 is a typical lake house, full of charm and ideal for a different getaway or vacation.

Completely renovated respecting tradition, we offer three apartments with different types:
"Red apartment", 5 places, bright and with a long balcony overlooking the square and the lake. Ceilings with original frescoes and elegant furnishings are the distinctive feature of this apartment. CIN IT012087C2BUI4P5WN

All three apartments are on the same floor and therefore also perfect for large groups who want to spend a holiday together.

A small private internal courtyard is available to guests.

Satellite TV, wireless connection, washing machine on the floor.

A few steps to reach the railway and ferry stations, all the shops and services, the departure of the cable car and the marina.

If you want, you can forget about the car for the entire period of your stay.

Possibility to rent bicycles.

Laveno is easily reachable from Malpensa airport with the Tilo train (7 daily trips and a journey of about 50 minutes).

We are a nice couple in love with our country. My husband Massimo and I (Ciccio for friends) will be happy to give you all the information you can to enjoy a stay on Lake Maggiore.

We are passionate about art, history, cuisine and music and..travel. But we are also capable of being tourists a few steps from home because we are convinced that the real journey lies in the mind. And it's nice to "travel" with the stories of our guests.

Area city center

Laveno is halfway on the Lombard coast of the Lake Maggiore. It’s a strategic place to visit the region of the lakes and the Prealps. Two railway stations connect Laveno with Varese (30 min.), Milan (1h. 20 min.) and the Malpensa Airport. Every 15 min. a ferryboat connects the lombard coast of the lake with the piedmontese coast (Verbania), the Borromean Islands and Stresa. The Cableway of the Lake Maggiore takes you on the top of the Sasso del Ferro mountain (1062 mt.) from where you can admire the majestic panorama of the Region of the Lakes and the Alps.
Laveno lies 20 km. from the swiss border, not far from the Lugano-Agno airport.
The region, rich in art and history, offers countless ways to admire the gifts of the past: the medieval castles, the villas of the XVII century, the botanic gardens, the old mountain villages entirely made of stone, the noble palaces, the romanic monasteries and the baroque Sacro Monte Sanctuaries, protected by the UNESCO.
There are numerous possibilities to bathe in clean waters and to practise sports: hang-gliding, para-gliding, cycling, mountain bike, trekking, sailing and all the water sports, tennis.

Very nice reception with a small breakfast package. Nice apartment. Only on weekends it can get a bit noisy due to the moped riders.

We stayed in the blue apartment, which in its simplicity is very nice! Accompanied by our dog (Siberian Husky), we immediately felt welcomed, which is not so taken for granted! I absolutely recommend the structure, a typical house with an excellent location! In conclusion, we were satisfied and the owners are really friendly and helpful people!

We absolutely loved Allesandra's flat in Laveno 1673. Such a great location! The view of the lake is breathtaking. Allesandra was such a kind and accommodating host. The flat was clean and well looked after and very charming. We were very comfortable. A great place to visit the local area including getting to Intra on the ferry, and driving to Lugano too. We hope we can visit again in the future!

My family and I were guests at the Laveno 1673 property for the April 25th holiday. The owner, Mrs. Alessandra, welcomed us warmly and answered all our questions and curiosities. The house is very beautiful and ancient, with exposed wooden beams and a very well-kept courtyard, equipped with spacious areas and all comforts, including breakfast even though it was not included in the price. In a convenient location to reach both the station and the places to visit in the surroundings if you have a car. Also, 2/3 minutes on foot from the lakeshore and the point where you can take the boat to the islands. Surrounding bars and restaurants for meals, but still in a quiet location in the evening. Absolutely recommended. Too bad we stayed for a short time.

Structure in line with our expectations. The lady is kind and generous with suggestions and advice on trips and tourist destinations. The only flaw is the difficulty of finding convenient parking near the property.

Alessandra and Massimo are very kind and helpful hosts; the location is very good in the center of the small town of Laveno by the lake, with a beautiful view, cafes, restaurants, etc., all very close by; but the main road is noisy in the mornings and evenings, which was not a big issue in October as the windows facing the inner courtyard are quieter and sufficient.

I stayed in the blue apartment - a very nice small apartment with two wonderful hosts. The bed was very comfortable, the whole apartment very clean. Alessandra even put eggs and yogurt in the fridge for me. I felt very comfortable. \n\nThe location is also super central, you can reach a lot on foot. \n\nI will definitely come back!

Charming apartment, equipped with a bedroom, equipped kitchen, living room, and bathroom. Very well received by Alessandra, who gave us advice on where to park, excursions and restaurants. She provides guides and maps. The building is very well located, near the lake, with a charming courtyard where we could leave our bikes. It is very clean, and very quiet. Very good!

Lovely hosts and welcome and recommendations for things to do in Laveno and surrounding area. The flat has all amenities and is well situated, with a lovely lake view from the kitchen. The only downside for me was that it was quite noisy at night/early in the morning because of the road, but that issue was easily solved with earplugs! Photos on the site are accurate and we had an excellent stay. We would return.

Truly comfortable house, very nice. The red apartment for 4 people has a beautiful view of the lake. It is strategically located for visiting Monte Sasso with the cable car and close to the ferry embarkation for Intra, from where you can reach the Borromean Islands. Mrs. Alessandra, very kind, welcomed us late in the evening and advised us on places to visit and where to eat. Definitely recommended.

We stayed for three days at the end of October, the ideal season to visit Lake Maggiore without stress. The apartment is cozy, functional, and tastefully furnished. Mrs. Alessandra was very kind and helpful, even though breakfast was not included, she provided us with a basket containing everything we needed to prepare it. We had a great time, we will definitely come back.

My family and I stayed in the red apartment and we had a great time. Much larger than it looks in the photos, clean and detailed. Alessandra is very kind and helpful, she gave us excellent advice for the island tour. Easy to reach even if you arrive by train. Highly recommended!

We occupied all three apartments for 4 days, Alessandra and Massimo were very kind and helpful. The building is beautiful and characteristic, located right in the center of the village, allowing you to take the cable car and ferry without moving the car. A heartfelt thank you!

This is a perfect property to stay in at Laveno-Mombello. Alessandra was a fantastic host, so welcoming and helpful. I was traveling alone and felt very safe and at home. The apartment was right in the center of town, very close to Laveno-Mombello Nord Railway Station. The apartment had everything I needed. I highly recommend it.

I had a wonderful stay with my daughter in Laveno 1673. We received a warm welcome from Alessandra and her husband who gave us all the necessary tourist instructions: where to go, where to eat, and what to do. The hotel is located in the town's center with quick access to a ferry, a train station, and a gondola lift.

Fantastic location, very friendly and welcoming managers, I highly recommend it to anyone who wants to spend a relaxing holiday considering that the property is right in the center just steps from the lakefront. Definitely worth going back.

Fabulous stay at Laveno 1673. Both Alessandra and Massimo were very hospitable, meeting us at the Laveno-Mombello train station to take us to the bed and breakfast. They try their utmost to make your stay as comfortable and enjoyable as they can. Many thanks for a great stay, and the Apricot chutney; wonderful!
