Description
Our B&B is situated in a central area, at walking distance to the Romanic Cathedral of San Vincenzo - Galliano which has been rebuilt in 1007 on the rests of an ancient pagan temple and it is, today, one of the most known examples of the romanic art of Lombardy.
We have three large rooms, two bathrooms and a kitchen. Two rooms overlook the garden with its beautiful bulbiform and seasonal flowers like azaleas, rhododendrons, hygrangeas and evergreens where you can relax and enjoy, during the summertime, a rich breakfast with homemade cakes and jam whose ingredients are coming from the fair-trade.
We are in Cantù, small town of the Brianza area, famous for its handmade furniture, for the ancient lace tradition and for the basketball team which is always at the top of the table.
Every year, the Music School of Cantù organizes the "International Competition for Piano and Orchestra" attracting young talents from all over the world.
Near our town, you can find Como and the lake with its beauties (Villa Carlotta, Villa Melzi...) Civate and its important romanic church, Carimate and Montorfano with their golf-fields, the exhibition and congress area of the LARIOTRADEFAIR in Erba and the motor-racing circuit of Monza.
Milano is at 30 km from Cantù and Lugano is easily reachable.

Mi sembrava di aver assecondato la sua scelta di colazione salata, con pane, affettato, formaggio, yogurt senza lattosio, succhi... Faccio torte o dolci che offro volentieri ai miei ospiti...e questo poteva essere una particolarità. In ogni caso spero di averla ancora come ospite per poterla accontentare al meglio. I stayed at La Finestra sul Giardino for a couple of days and I had a great time. The house is very nice and has everything you need for a short or long stay. Marilisa, the owner, is a welcoming, kind, and caring person. She made me feel comfortable right away and provided me with lots of information and directions about Cantù. I enjoyed my stay so much that I will return. I highly recommend La Finestra sul Giardino.

I stayed 5 days in Mrs. Marilisa's bed and breakfast. I can't deny that I felt at home from the first day. Marilisa, very kind, available for any request. The room spacious, well furnished and complete with everything. The window overlooked the garden where you can have a rich breakfast during the beautiful days and especially well-kept and full of beautiful flowers and plants. Excellent cleanliness both in the room and in the bathroom. I will definitely come back!

The Window on the Garden is a corner of paradise a few steps from the center of Cantù. The structure is familiar and you immediately feel at home from the moment you enter. The rooms are tastefully furnished with the intention of making guests feel at home. The cleanliness of the structure is excellent, thanks to the care and attention of Mrs. Marilisa. The view from the window overlooks a well-kept garden full of flowers, an ideal view as soon as you wake up or during the day. The breakfast is excellent with a wide selection to satisfy all tastes. I highly recommend this Bed and Breakfast for business or leisure stays in Cantù.

Architect designer, style director and operation manager of furniture brand, always on the go. For years I always go to bed & breakfasts. In this one, where I have already booked for my next stays in the area, I found availability, hospitality and kindness, cleanliness and top hygiene. Breakfast with homemade sweets but at a high pastry level. I felt pampered and like I was at home.

It was a pleasure to stay in this property, just a stone's throw from the center of Cantù. Marilisa is a welcoming person and available to provide advice on where to dine and what to visit in the surroundings. I really appreciated the order and cleanliness of the bed and breakfast, in addition to the attention to detail. Excellent cakes and jams that Marilisa prepared for breakfast. This is the third time I have stayed at this bed & breakfast in Cantù and I wouldn't choose any other. The location is great because in a few minutes' walk you are in the center of the town. The rooms are well-kept and clean and I love that the bathroom is equipped with a great hairdryer. During the spring/summer period, you can enjoy the small and delightful garden for breakfast among hydrangeas and wisteria. The host's welcome is exceptional, she offers excellent homemade cakes and jams for breakfast and is always available to meet every guest's need. Highly recommend it.

I had the opportunity to stay at La Finestra sul Giardino and especially to meet Mrs. Marilisa (who manages everything). A very polite and friendly lady, very present, but above all she tries to meet you by finding and taking care of the guest's needs in the small details. I also add that the property is located a few steps from Piazza di Cantù where in the evening, in addition to the presence of various pubs and clubs, there is the gathering of us young people. I had a great time and I also speak on behalf of my cousin (who was there as well). Who knows, I hope to return one day.

My name is Simona. I stayed at this bed and breakfast for work reasons. The environment is very welcoming and clean. Marilisa is a very helpful person and made me feel comfortable right away. Very close to the center, the supermarket, and everything one might need. I will definitely come back.

We were surprised by the beauty of the structure, the attention to detail. The kindness and finesse of Marilisa are truly extraordinary. Ottimo B&B in centro a Cantù a due passi dall'ospedale. Struttura carina, pulitissima e tranquilla. Comodo il parcheggio privato in cortile. La stanza era abbastanza grande con il bagno e la doccia molto spaziosi. La proprietaria Marilisa si è dimostrata subito molto disponibile, chiedendo anche cosa preferivo per colazione e soddisfando le mie richieste. Da consigliare assolutamente.

La proprietaria Marilisa è una persona molto cordiale e disponibile, le camere sono arredate con gusto e molto spaziose, a colazione ci ha preparato una torta deliziosa, la posizione è vicina a Como quindi noi abbiamo girato per l' omonino lago.
Tutto ok lo proponiamo a chi volesse trascorrere un week end in tranquillità.
