The B&B "LA DARSENA" is located in the historical center of Como in front of our wonderful lake just a few steps from the cathedral and Cavour square, in a tyipical lombard house of 1800 completely restored in the respect of the original structure.

At your disposal an indipendent apartment furnished with style and elegance composed of living room, bathroom, and a master bed room.

Its location is ideal for reaching the numerous points of interest in the city.

Lovely apartment with everything we needed. Ideally located within a private courtyard. Very helpful host. Parking was a big plus inside a garage. All felt very safe. Short walk to restaurants, cafes and lakefront with the ferry terminal and boat hire.

The utmost convenience: 100 m from the Piazza del Duomo and Como's 'salotto' square (Piazza Cavour), with a garage available for the car. What more could you ask for? Excellent.

The location is excellent. Very central and close to the Como Lago station stop, while the Como S. Giovanni station, which is the main one, is a 12-minute walk away. The only drawback is that they do not serve breakfast on the premises.

Our host was waiting for us upon our arrival to provide our apartment keys and instructions. He was very friendly and spoke English well. We adored the location because of its proximity to Lake Como. The apartment was clean and had everything we needed. At the end of our stay, our host allowed us to keep our luggage in the apartment for a couple of hours after check-out until we were ready to board our ferry. We had a great experience!

This was a charming find, with real character and style. Recently renovated, this 18th-century apartment is spacious and perfectly located in a quiet spot very close to the lake and the city centre. It is highly recommended.

The property does not offer any breakfast even though it’s called bed & breakfast, nor does it suggest any restaurant/café where we could get breakfast. The location could not be beat - it was a 3 minute walk from all the hotels, restaurants, and city center in general. However, the room lacked air conditioning, the towels smelled of mildew (even when we asked for new ones), and the drain in the shower was very clogged and did not allow for comfortable showers. My room was underground so it wasn't unbearably hot, luckily, but the humidity made the room muggy. The towels were absolutely not usable because of the mildew smell in every single one. It was unfortunate because I was there for a wedding, and I smelled of mildew every time I touched the towel. There was a fan and a door in the room, which allowed for air flow. The wall was made of stone, which made the feel of the room very charming.

A perfect stay. The B&B is very well located, right in the center but quiet for a good night's sleep. The owner's welcome was very friendly. The room is new, large with a kitchenette, clean and the bedding is comfortable. The bathroom is clean, modern and of good size. A little extra, we were able to safely store our motorcycle in the garage.

I really enjoyed my stay in my room. I loved that it was very clean, spacious and had what I needed for a short stay. The location was extremely convenient, right next to the water and very close to the train station. The area and the building are very charming and beautiful. My only suggestions would be that it would be nice to have a little more light in the room (I found that the main lights in the ceiling were quite dim) and the towels smelled a little bit like mildew. But otherwise the host was very helpful and friendly and I had a wonderful stay. Thank you!

B&B La Darsena was a positive experience for us. The location is great, safe and clean. It was ideal for us as we came for a wedding: docking station 4 minutes away. Train station 5 minutes away. Literally in proximity of the city center. All walking distance. The room was very modern and clean. The rocks made it cooler and pleasant temperature-wise. The owners were super kind, always available and let us leave the luggage after checking out. They live on the top floor, which made it convenient. Only downside is that the room was quite dark and we couldn’t work out how to turn the lights on and breakfast not provided. Overall 9/10 and price VERY reasonable considering the average cost in Como.

A very beautiful and spacious room with a kitchenette and refrigerator. The bathroom has a beautiful shower, it is very modern and spotlessly clean. The room is very quiet and centrally located. The port, the train station, and the city center are all reachable within a few minutes on foot. For 10 euros a day you can park your car in the garage. The owner is very friendly, kind, and straightforward.

The room is very beautiful, designed with very good taste, spacious and brand new. The bed is very comfortable, the bathroom is in line with the room, the shower area is comfortable and spacious. The heating is very good. Nice spacious mini apartment, in an excellent location. Equipped with what one needs for a short vacation. Initial cleanliness was good. The only downside: I expected, given the amount paid per night and the three nights of stay, that at least after two days a room cleaning and a towel change would be provided. After the stay, we were told that cleaning had to be requested but we did not know this.

Very well equipped, with complete tableware, electric stove, refrigerator, table and chairs. Everything is very new, with new openings and floors. The owners were very helpful and gracious to us. We had travel snafus coming and going. They were amenable to our last minute late arrival and greeted us warmly. Our departure was during a train strike - but once again our hosts found affordable transport for us. The bedroom is quite a charming architectural space with smart tv, refrigerator, hot pot. The bathroom is modern. The location is perfect for those traveling by boat or train and those interested in shopping or dining. In fact, the choice of this BnB made our stay in Como very enjoyable.

La Darsena B&B is located directly behind the beautiful Palace Hotel at the harbor. The location is ideal and close to all the shopping, restaurants, ferry and bus transport, and the smaller train station across from the center bus terminal. Although there is no view from the room, the accommodations are top notch with high end materials used in the renovation of this building mixed in with the old brick and stone of the building.

This property had a great location: just a few minutes walk to the boat landing, shops and the lake. Our host was very helpful when we arrived to make us feel at home, show us around this amazing space with 200+ year old walls, and give us parking and restaurant recommendations. The host took very good care of us. We paid at the end of the stay, they prefer cash so keep that in mind. Excellent value for money, we rested wonderfully and the best part was the proximity, it is in the center very close to the Duomo. If we return to Como, we will stay here again.

This B&B is located in a quiet residential area, very near the Palace Hotel and a short walking distance to many restaurants, shopping, and the boats to Bellagio and other lake destinations. The bedroom we stayed in was on the main floor and was quite large for European standards, including a small kitchenette. The bathroom is updated with a large walk-in shower and bidet. It is not fancy, but very clean and functional with a comfortable queen-size bed and small table and chairs. Just Art Cafe around the corner has very good coffee and breakfast, including delicious pastries, for a reasonable price. We also highly recommend eating dinner at Piazza Roma Ristorante in the neighborhood, but you will need reservations as it is quite popular. We would definitely recommend B&B La Darsena and thank our host for a lovely 3-night stay.

The structure is well-kept and modern, the cleanliness is impeccable, equipped with a spacious shower and a very comfortable bed. The only downside is the wifi connection, especially in the ground floor room where we stayed. Regarding the connection via Wind and Tim sim cards, it is problematic. The signal of their wifi, always in the ground floor room where we stayed, is not optimal. However, if you only need it to check emails or some web pages and you don't need a fast and responsive connection, it can be fine. Apart from this, from the manager to the structure to the location, I would give a rating of 10. There is nothing to complain about. The structure is highly recommended and we will return.

Absolutely fantastic! Save yourself some trouble and just book the place if you are staying in Como. Close to the station, the property is clean, tidy with very kind hosts. The rooms are newly renovated, huge compared to European standards and has a kitchenette if you prefer making your own meals. Hands down - the highlight stay of my Euro trip!

A wonderful place to stay for 2 nights. The host Antonio was really nice. The location was perfect, very close to Como Lago station but I barely heard a noise. Tucked away just behind the Palace hotel. This was a great location, so close to everything, 2 minutes walk from the Como ferry terminal and literally 1 minute to the Cathedral. I chose to stay in the 'modern' room which had a fridge, sink, small table and chairs, ideal for making breakfast and a coffee. I would most definitely stay here again, it was very reasonably priced compared to many other places. Highly recommended.

Lovely Stay at La Darsena. We stayed for 2 nights to visit Como and the surroundings, we loved everything at La Darsena. Josef and his brother are magnificent hosts, they helped us with all our questions. The rooms are so beautiful and clean, gorgeous. We will stay here again when we come back. Near all the beautiful places in Como, near the train station and the funicular to Brunate. 5 stars. Easy to find, just behind Palace Hotel.

The photos already say it all, in person the room is spectacular, moreover it does not need air conditioning at all, as the rock the house is built with makes the room very cool. \nThe owner is uniquely courteous and kind. We used the paid parking, and he had us put the car in his own closed garage, giving us the opportunity to leave it there all day on Monday while we were out. \nWe will definitely come back. \nThanks again Giuseppe for the welcome.

The landlord was very, very nice and helpful. The apartment is very tastefully and modernly designed. The bathroom is TOP. There is a small hob, coffee machine, and fridge. Great location near the lake. Parking directly near the apartment in the quieter part of the city. There are two vouchers for a breakfast with a lake view (!) in a cafe about 150 m away. All good!

The place is very clean and the room is furnished and decorated with attention to detail. For our taste, a cool design accommodation and a super central cool location, about 150 m to the central square and the lake. Our room was spacious enough, the bed and mattresses quite good. The bathroom was equipped with a very large shower / rain shower and everything else you need. The Wifi works well.\n\nA charming house, nicely decorated and a warm host. Antonio (the brother) welcomed us warmly and showed us everything, we immediately felt comfortable. Antonio gave us tips for restaurants, pizzerias in the area.\n\nThen for breakfast:\nThe B&B does not offer breakfast but..you receive a breakfast voucher for each morning in a very good cafe. The distance is not far. About 100-150 m to the central square. This did not bother us at all. There were 4 breakfast options to choose from, each with a coffee and a juice. For a "breakfast lover" it might be a bit too little but at least it's there, considering that in Italy breakfast is not so celebrated.\n\nUnfortunately, in this cafe, a coffee costs 4, -€ if you want to have a second or third one. But well..you can look for another small cafe for another one. There are some!\nCommunication worked quite well as Antonio speaks English quite well.\n\nWe will come back!

I had decided to isolate myself from the world for a couple of days, and I must say that Lake Como was definitely the right choice I could make. The property is located in the city center and you have everything at your fingertips. The manager in his own way kept me company and is a very nice person. Also, I needed a single room but since it was not available, he gave me a double room at the same price. The property is beautiful, clean, and quiet. I recommend it to anyone. If I had to come back here, I would always return to the same place.

The location is excellent, just a step away from Piazza Cavour, the main square in Como. Good structure, large and independent room with living room, loft, bathroom and double bedroom. Television in the living room and always from the room with a lake view. You are completely independent and breakfast is served at the bar, cappuccino, croissants and fruit juice, all just 100 meters from the structure and next to the Cathedral. The location is great, in the center, 100 meters from the pedestrian area, the lakeside and the Northern railway station and it is in a very quiet corner. You do not hear any noise coming from the structure or from outside, from the streets and the railway station. A corner of peace! A restored period building that maintains the original style, with stone inserts and a stone staircase. The manager is courteous and helpful and gives you the keys not only to the room but also to the gate and the entrance door to the building. A place to return to very willingly. Thank you!
