Our B&B is located in the heart of Cremona's plane, inside the Parco dell'Oglio, in a small and quiet country village. "La Casa Nel Borgo" is situated in a neoclassical building of the late eighteenth century, a prestigious residence of historical interest.

Our guests will be able to explore tradition and culture along your own delicious fine food and wine trail, immerse in the peaceful tranquillity of the countryside, and visit important art cities just a few miles away, such as Mantua and Sabbioneta, Cremona, Parma and Brescia.

Our B&B is the perfect place for traveling couples and families, who want to feel at home, for a romantic holiday in a quiet and reserved setting, if you are looking for peace and quiet, close to nature, away from the noise and bustle of the city.

Our guests receive en-suite bathroom in every room, free Wi-Fi, heated environment, freedom to return at leisure, car park, parking slot, well-tended garden.

Our air-conditioned rooms include hairdryer, internet access, television, dressing table and refrigerator in 3 of the 4 rooms.

Area countryside

Castelfranco d’Oglio is a tiny rural village with fewer than 100 residents, located in the heart of the Oglio Sud Park. The Oglio River flows through this peaceful landscape before joining the Po, marking the boundary between Cremona and Mantua provinces. The village lies on the Cremona side.

The surroundings are typical of the lower Po Valley, featuring vast cultivated fields, rows of poplars, ornamental nurseries, and wetlands full of biodiversity. The Oglio Cycle Path, a 280 km walking and cycling trail from Tonale Pass to the Po River, runs through this area. It’s an ideal spot for nature lovers, whether walking, cycling, or horseback riding.

Nearby, you can visit major art cities like Parma, Brescia, Cremona, and especially Mantua, which, along with Sabbioneta, is a UNESCO World Heritage site.

The region is also famous for its local cuisine, with many well-known restaurants and historic trattorias.

The Cremona Circuit racetrack is just 13 km away.

The structure is enchanting, with an antique flavor and valuable antiques, maintained impeccably in its characteristics of architectural tradition and, for me as an architect, it is certainly an added value. The hosts are caring, kind, and helpful. The breakfast is superb with cake, biscuits, and homemade jams. The cleanliness is impeccable. The internal garden is kept with care and passion. A shout out to the wonderful white streets. The stay was fantastic and romantic.

Very tidy structure, room with excellent antique furniture and very spacious and welcoming, with heating and air conditioning. Located in a small very quiet rural village between the countryside and the Oglio. Excellent location for visiting nearby places (Mantua, Cremona, Parma, Sabbioneta, Lake Garda) and for bike rides along the river and on the various paved and unpaved paths between the fields, very little traffic. Friendly and helpful owners, attentive to the needs of the guests.

We stayed here only one night during the off-season, but what a wonderful stay we had. Would highly recommend the property to anyone visiting this area of France, especially for the warm hospitality provided.

La Casa nel Borgo is a special place. Sergio and Emanuele open the door of their wonderful home and allow you to be surrounded by beautiful things for the entire duration of your stay. Wherever you look, you encounter care and beauty: the rooms and breakfast room are furnished with taste and an attention that reveals Sergio's past as an antique dealer. The breakfast, served in a room with a view of the garden, is homemade, and Emanuele's pastries and cookies are delicious. Unforgettable is the orange marmalade. We will return.

I would like to thank Sergio and Emanuele for welcoming us into their home with kindness and an uncommon availability. Inside, it is a jewel for how it has been furnished and for many details that make it "stylish". The breakfast receives top marks for the variety and quality of the food. The jams are truly spectacular, in addition to the mini sbrisolone that seem to be made by a master pastry chef. Congratulations indeed. For those who want to easily reach Mantova, Cremona, Parma and Brescia, La Casa nel Borgo offers an excellent accommodation for staying.

I stayed one night in this establishment as a base after dinner at a famous restaurant nearby, and it turned out to be a pleasant surprise. The managers were extremely kind, helpful, and attentive to every detail. The establishment is beautiful and well cared for in every detail: the room is spacious and elegant. The breakfast is abundant, with fresh products and refined table settings, which added an extra touch to the experience. Highly recommended.

I gave everyone a 10 because they truly deserve it! The managers are very attentive to our needs, very friendly and caring. We requested a wide advance for the check-in and they made sure the rooms were ready for us. There is a presence of gluten-free products. There are ample spaces available. It is furnished with taste and style that enhances the historicity of the house.

Accurate but discreet welcome. Beautiful room with a view of the wonderfully maintained internal garden. The structure is a small jewel, cared for in every detail with good taste. Italian breakfast with homemade desserts. Possibility of salty additions. Highly recommended.

We stayed at La Casa nel Borgo for 7 nights for our honeymoon. We were greeted by Emanuele and Sergio. Our room was very authentic, spacious, and clean. Nothing seemed too much trouble. I requested a croissant for breakfast, and the next day I had them. Very helpful and obliging, lovely quiet location perfect for what we wanted. I would very happily visit again, couldn’t ask for more from them both. I would highly recommend for a peaceful relaxing holiday in Italy. Thank you Emanuele and Sergio.

Completely restored historic residence in a conservative manner. Antique furnishings perfectly restored. Great taste and style in a secluded yet fascinating location, immersed in a protected natural park. The owner welcomed us warmly, providing us with all the explanations. The next day, after a delicious breakfast, he showed us how the property was composed and illustrated its history. A truly extraordinary experience. Thank you!

A magical place! To define it as a Bed and Breakfast would be an understatement! Starting from the owners, Emanuele and Sergio, you immediately receive a warm and family-like welcome, they are two special people attentive to every detail! The environment is very clean, well-kept, and refined. My husband and I were enchanted by how beautifully this splendid house and garden were furnished... a true corner of paradise! Of course, the rooms are also very clean and well-kept, furnished elegantly. The breakfast is superb, I'm also celiac and there was a lot of choice and quality; delicious homemade pastries! A place that I highly recommend!

We stayed only 1 night at La Casa nel Borgo, comfortable and extremely quiet to visit the nearby areas. In particular to participate in the Palio di Isola Dovarese. Well-kept, clean structure equipped with all comforts. Very spacious rooms, very good Italian breakfast. In general, the whole b&b is very beautiful and immersed in peace. The owners are very courteous and helpful. We were sorry not to have more days available.

The B&B is located in a very small village surrounded by greenery. The rooms are very spacious, extremely clean, and well-maintained. Abundant breakfast with pastries and cookies made by them (when we arrived there was a fabulous scent of cookies that we found the next morning at breakfast). The owners are wonderful, they didn't let us miss anything and went out of their way to book dinner for us at a local inn (where we ate very well at a great price).

Excellent Bed and Breakfast in a restored 1700s building furnished with Empire-style period furniture, certainly refined but ultimately sober. Competent and very helpful managers, pleasant and relaxed atmosphere, excellent sleep in a large and quiet room.

Very spacious and comfortable room with antique furniture and above all very quiet, we rested very well thanks also to the very comfortable bed. Owners very kind and willing to meet customer needs. I spent three really pleasant days with my family in this beautiful structure. Located in open countryside, it is very well connected. Extremely kind managers attentive to the customer's needs, elegantly furnished rooms and common areas, carefully curated down to the last detail. Excellent and abundant breakfast.
