If you come to Milan for business, studying or pleasure the Bed and Breakfast “ La Casa del Nespolo di…Niguarda is the right place for you. The B&B is located in a quite setting, near North Park, the biggest park of the city where it ‘s possible to go jogging, and at the same time, at a short distance away from all major places of interest in Milan.

The B&B lies in the North area of Milan, exactly in the area Niguarda at about 5. 5 km far from the Duomo and from the Fair Center (Fieramilanocity), which are easily reachable by public transport. The” La Casa del Nespolo”, it’s so called from its friends, is also at a short distance (9 km) from the New Exhibition Center of Rho–Pero.

The construction is also near the Niguarda Hospital, Galeazzi Hospital, C. T, O. Hospital and Multimedica Hospital. While San Raffaele Hospital and Cancer Istitute, even if they are located in the South area, are reachable by only one mean of public transport. (Bus number and tramcar number 5). Moreover, The Arcinboldi Theatre and Bicocca University are 1 km. far from the B. & B., which is also located near the famous disco Alcatraz (reachable by car in just 5 minutes or also by tramcar !) and Corso Como (Como avenue). It is at 6 km far from the San Siro Stadium.

The “ La Casa del Nespolo di…Niguarda”is also near the Bovisa Campus of the Polytechnic of Milan (5, 5 km).

The B. &B. is located at only 2 km far from the underground station Maciachini (yellow line) and this is an easy way to get to the Central Station and to the Garibaldi Station, Duomo square.

In the immediate vicinity of the B. &B. there are supermarket, hair salons, pharmacy, banks, and all kinds of shops and pizzeria (restaurant).

In a relaxing and familiar environment Giusella and Annaclara remain at complete disposal to assist the guests during their stay: booking museums, taxis and excursions.

The 3 rooms, 2 with shared bathroom and 1 with private bathroom, are comfortable and welcoming. They are furnished with style and simplicity. They are all double bed with the possibility of an extra bed. They are equipped with fan, television, hair dryer and frigor. Laundry service and wireless connection are available.

At the “ La Casa del Nespolo di Niguarda” small pets are welcomed, previous asking.

We sell bus tickets and rent the GPS.

My rating for this property is 1 but if I could I would have given 0. Truly horrible, from the owners/managers to the "room," if it can be called that. To begin with, I had to book this property because of an emergency and they thought it appropriate to raise the prices because it was the weekend of the Salone del Mobile, unjustified in my opinion since this property is far from where the fair is held and they certainly cannot justify increasing the price so much given the general conditions. I would have gladly paid 100 euros per night if only the room could be called that: a tiny hole of a few square meters with barely a bathroom, in a run-down building with external corridor balconies, poorly kept and anonymous. But the most scandalous thing was the brazenness of the owner in calling me and asking for more money for the room, even though we had agreed by phone on the price and the dates. Truly scandalous. If you ever have an emergency and only find this property, sleep in the nearby park; it is surely cleaner and safer than this property.

Everything acceptable considering the price paid, except: 1) the shower drain is almost completely clogged. 2) the bidet mixer lever comes off during use. 3) the balcony door does not close properly and when it rains water enters the room. The owners are really kind, but I suggest they periodically check the property's maintenance.

Voglio precisare però che se la porta finestra del balcone viene lasciata completamente aperta durante un nubifragio, logicamente, fa entrare acqua e bagna il pavimento della stanza, indipendentemente dal tipo di infisso.

Ideal for those who need to stay in the Niguarda and Affori area (yellow metro). If you do not have high expectations, it is fine. The room is cleaned almost every day. There is a microwave, a fridge and crockery.

I booked based on the reviews given. Honestly, I found the place below my standards and what was said in the reviews. The bed creaks, not to mention the room, which was arranged, although I must admit it was clean. A positive note is that my room has an en-suite bathroom.

We stayed for only one night but I recommend it. The owners are very helpful and kind even in giving directions on how to get around. The area is Niguarda and it is very well served to reach the city center by public transport. The room is welcoming and clean just like the bathroom (with a window). I was positively impressed that upon our arrival we found a bottle of water and fruit juice (not at all taken for granted!) plus everything needed to make an abundant breakfast the next morning, complete with a microwave, refrigerator, and coffee machine. Perhaps the room was a bit noisy as it faced the street so we could hear the noise of nighttime traffic but overall excellent value for money, I will gladly return.

I stayed at this property for only one night with my son, who had to undergo a medical examination at Niguarda Hospital. We had a great time: the owners are very kind and helpful, the bed is very comfortable, the room is spacious and impeccably clean! The bathroom is external, but reserved for the room and cannot be used by others. Furthermore, La Casa del Nespolo is located in a very serviced area: pharmacy, several bars, and a restaurant-pizzeria a few steps away. We highly recommend it for a stay in Milan!

Maximum availability, the lady was very helpful to me both for a series of mishaps I had before arrival, and in suggesting how to move around the area, with valuable tips on some places to see in the city. The room I had had an external bathroom, but this did not cause any inconvenience. The area is peripheral but very well served by public transport and with everything you may need for a short stay nearby. The cleaning lady was also very helpful and kind. The room, although furnished with some recycled furniture, is equipped with a comfortable wardrobe, sofa, microwave, and dishes. The towels were brand new, clean, and soft.

Very good reception from the very helpful managers, clean place, a bit outdated but respects the value for money ratio. Also great location. If I really have to find a flaw: the tram passing in the street, but it is also an added service.

The owners are really kind and always available, they always responded quickly. We chose this place for Jova's concert, so it is very close to the event but also convenient to reach by public transport to go downtown. It is presented as a house with 2 maybe 3 rooms and 2 external bathrooms. However, having to go out every time is not exactly ideal and also you can hear noises and conversations from the rooms because it's not soundproofed. Our bathroom was adjacent to another guest room and they were annoyed by our conversations, but being 4 it wasn't easy to stay completely silent, especially almost impossible when you are on vacation. The place was very clean.

Overall my three-night stay went very well. The staff was very kind and willing to accommodate special requests; the room was clean, equipped with comfort and a kitchen (mine was a studio); the bed is made every day, as well as the cleaning (something I have never found in a B&B!). If I had to find some flaws: breakfast could be improved in terms of quality (not quantity); a bit more fabric softener in the towels; the tram passing under the window doesn't help those with light sleep, especially in summer with the windows open. I would give an overall score of 8.

We stayed in the month of May. In addition to the spacious comforts and cleanliness of all the spaces, the friendliness and excellent treatment of Giusella and Gaetano are very remarkable. They truly made us feel like family friends. We were not just guests for a few days, their cheerful manner, hospitality, and people skills are the best we have encountered. If you want to not only stay comfortably but also feel among friends, do not hesitate, go to the Casa del Nespolo in Niguarda. You won't regret it.

More than pleasant stay: magnificent availability of Mrs. Giusella who was able to indicate restaurants and means to move comfortably around the city. Clean room equipped with all comforts. Television, refrigerator and free WiFi. Good breakfast and especially excellent jam. I recommend it to everyone who wants to spend the right amount for a stay in Milan.

Really excellent for those looking for accommodation near Niguarda Hospital, close to the metro station that allows easy travel even over long distances and close to any type of shop you are looking for, from the supermarket to the pharmacy. Perfect for those seeking a bed and breakfast with complete autonomy, the owner does not live in the same structure and does not prepare breakfast for you but provides you with everything you need. Beautiful rooms that are cleaned and tidied daily.
