The property is extremely clean and well kept. The room was charming, the bed was comfortable and it had everything needed for a short stay. Host Marco was kind and helpful. I found my stay relaxing. I had a small amount of difficulty locating the door/entrance, which was easy to overcome. The location is perfect, just one block from the bus, train and the lake. I found it a great, well-priced location to walk to restaurants and shops and enjoy all Como has to offer. Thank you, Marco, for opening your home to visitors.

Nice accommodation in a great location with wonderful views at the front and back. The room was lovely and the balcony was nice to have. The breakfast was lovely each morning, being laid out; however, we would have preferred more variety and choice. As the property is the host's house, he was not always present or physically around, and if needed we had to ring the bell, which we were not 100% comfortable doing.

We had an absolutely wonderful stay at La Canarina during the week of August 5th to August 11th, 2024, and we wanted to warmly thank Marco for his exceptional hospitality. From the moment we arrived, we were charmed by the friendliness of the place and the attention he gives to his guests. The room was very comfortable, with a magnificent view of a beautiful Italian garden, providing a peaceful and relaxing setting. Everything was perfectly clean and well maintained. We particularly appreciated the exchanges with Marco, his valuable advice for discovering the region, as well as the quality of the breakfast, made up of fresh and tasty products. The location of La Canarina is ideal: just a few minutes from the lake, restaurants, and main attractions, allowing us to do everything on foot without needing to take the car. The value for money is excellent, and we leave enchanted by this wonderful experience. Thank you again, Marco, for your hospitality! We recommend without hesitation and hope to return soon.

We are so glad that we stayed at La Canarina! From how we were treated the second we dropped off our luggage to our check out, we felt so relaxed and happy. The room and bathroom are absolutely beautiful, and the AC worked wonderfully. We highly recommend staying here when in Como.

We had a beautiful stay with my cousin. La Canarina is located in a great location, the room was clean and nice. Marco was incredibly friendly and spoiling us with fresh made croissants every morning :) We enjoyed our stay and definitely would come back again!

Positive aspects: La Canarina is a very clean structure, furnished with style. Good mattresses and pillows. Excellent location just a few steps from the center and the lakeside. Possibility to leave your own car (for an additional fee) in a private parking just a few steps from the structure. Negative aspects: The room is very small. The wardrobe door did not close well and was obstructing the passage. There are no bedside tables but small tables next to the bed with little surface area. There is no surface in the room, a table, a small desk in the room: if you need to use a computer, a tablet, you don't know where to place it, the same goes for toiletry items (if you don't want them in the bathroom). The drainage of the shower is very weak and being the shower floor at ground level, if you do not control the water jet well, you risk flooding the bathroom. Finally, the private garden advertised on the site with the room is indeed very well-kept but is, indeed, private so not accessible to the B&B guests. You can only look at it from the window of your room. Overall, La Canarina is recommendable for location, cleanliness, and value for money. For the other aspects described, it all depends on the guest's needs.

We had a fantastic experience staying at La Canarina. The location was clean, peaceful, and serene and in the middle of everything. We were just a few minutes away on foot from trains, buses, ferries, restaurants, and gelato. Marco pays attention to every detail, including his homemade croissants which were literally the best that we’ve had on our whole Italian adventure. He knows all of the local businesses and offered excellent recommendations. Would definitely stay here again!

B&B in a strategic location, easily accessible on foot from the S. Giovanni station. Very clean environment, full of light and comfortable, with rooms overlooking a beautiful garden. Very pleasant accommodation, everything very easily reachable on foot. For the car there is an underground parking lot about 300 m away for 10.00 EUR/night. Rooms are very individually furnished, matching the charm of the whole property. Very clean and well-maintained. Especially very quiet facing the inner courtyard and park. There are only 2 rooms. Breakfast is small but fine, for our taste everything was there. Served at the table. The only downside was the somewhat sparse lighting in the bathroom. We will definitely come back! Thanks to the owner Marco.

Marco and Felicina were very accommodating. Marco picked us up at the train station when we arrived. They accommodated our request for more fruit (and less meat and cheese) for breakfast. They spent time explaining the town of Como and some of the places we should visit. We would definitely recommend La Canarina B&B.

We thoroughly enjoyed our week's stay at La Canarina. The room was well appointed with quality furnishings and overlooked a delightful garden at the foot of the wooded hills on the east side of Como. Close to the bus station and the lake's edge and a short walk to the ferry terminal and the main square, Piazza Cavour. Being on the inside of the building and away from the traffic noise, the room was quiet and airy. The proprietor, Marco, was a charming host, providing us with a lovely breakfast and was very helpful in pointing us to quality restaurants and places to visit around the lake. Close to Como Nord Lago railway station with direct line into Milan and within a kilometre of the main railway station, San Giovanni. We couldn't ask for more from a bed and breakfast.

I've been here for two nights with my fiancée for the celebration of the new year's eve. The B&B is located in the middle of the city, beside the lake and the main square. There are also some restaurants and the shopping area is just a few minutes away by walk. The room was pretty tidy, well furnished, and with all the necessities except some bath soaps. The room (both rooms available) is well located since the balcony is on the back of the main street so it's pretty silent and with a nice garden view. Also, the bathroom is excellent, all new, with a large heater and a large shower. The gate is located on the first floor, with a lift and with a charming aisle that leads you to the breakfast room. Overall the place is excellent and the price worth the whole experience.

The B&B is a couple of minutes' walk to the lake, close to restaurants, shops etc. The room was very clean, modern and comfortable. Good bathroom. We had no lake view but our window overlooked a beautiful garden. Continental breakfast was nicely presented but with no cereal or hot food.

If you want to stay at Como, this is the right place. Located in the city center, next to the central bus and railway stations. 2 minutes from the coast and old city. The room is perfect. You just need to take into account that the family has 2 rooms in the same apartment, so you might need to share the space for breakfast with someone else (in case they ask to have breakfast at the same time as you). Parking will cost you an additional fee, however it is recommended if you are coming with your own car, since the parking lot is located 100 meters from the building. The breakfast is typically a bed and breakfast breakfast, served in the "living room" at the time requested by you. The room is clean and tidy with a magnificent view. The family members are very kind and you can pay both cash and credit card.
