Description

The B&B Il Lago Dipinto is located in a quiet and residential area, just a few steps away from the lake and Lecco’s town centre. The B&B is the result of the renovation (2014) of the house where the painter Arturo Bonanomi lived and worked for more than 50 years. The B&B offers three rooms, each one with its private bathroom and free WiFi: the Yellow Room, with two single beds; the Red Room, a double bedroom and the Blue Room, located where the painter was used to work. An independent heating and air conditioning system is available in each room. The B&B’s manager, Ivano the artist’s son, is very fond of art and cooking. Every day he welcomes his guests with kindness and hospitality.

Take Lecco last exit (Lecco Ultima Uscita or Lecco Caleotto), at the roundabout take the second exit towards via XI Febbraio, go straight ahead for about 700 meters along via XI Febbraio, via Papa Giovanni XXIII and via Montanara. At the roundabout continue straight ahead in via Pasubio. After the traffic light take the first street on your left (via Ca’ Rossa) and then take the second street on your right, this is via Massimo D’Azeglio. The house number 22 is on the right quite at the end of the street.
By train:
Lecco is easily accessible by train from Milan (Milano Centrale station or Milano Porta Garibaldi station), Bergamo, Como and Sondrio.
Once you are in the station’s square, go on your right towards Largo Montenero, go straight through via Grassi and viale Turati walking for about 600 meters. At the viale Turati’s news kiosk turn right in via Ca’ Rossa and then take the second street on the left that is via Massimo D’Azeglio. The house number 22 is on the right quite at the end of the street.

Quiet location, beautiful views, lovely hosts. Our family of 4 stayed for 2 nights (our 6 year old chose the accommodation!) in July, in the blue room, which turned out to have a bathroom skylight and a small rooftop terrace, providing impressive views and perfect for weather watching. Location was good for us, we arrived by train and walked up. Very warm hosts, just good people really. We would love to stay again.

Spectacular reception and treatment by the hosts. Patrizia and Ivano are pleasant, they care about our comfort and provide the necessary help throughout the stay. We stayed in the blue room, spacious and with a spectacular terrace overlooking the mountains. Very clean and tidy, they provide towels and a hairdryer, as well as a sample of gel. The homemade breakfast was amazing, abundant with different types of cereals, yogurts, bread and even homemade pastries that they prepared every day. Definitely a place to recommend for everything it offers. Besides being situated in a beautiful town with many activities to enjoy its surroundings. Thank you for everything Patrizia and Ivano! You helped us have magnificent days in the area.

I stayed at Il Lago Dipinto with my wife for a couple's vacation and I want to start by complimenting Patrizia and Ivano for the seriousness and love with which they manage this activity. The room we stayed in is spacious and tastefully furnished, with every comfort and equipped with all new furnishings and services. Top cleanliness, daily rearrangement, and change of linen every three days, nothing to complain about. The breakfast is very rich and well cared for, in addition to the fact that every day there is a homemade treat. Finally, not to be overlooked, the location is truly excellent, close to the center of Lecco, a beautiful city, and just a stone's throw from the highway access. In conclusion, we had a great time, the b&b is excellent and absolutely recommended, greetings to Patrizia and Ivano, with the hope of visiting you again in the future.

Thanks to Patrizia and Ivanov for a delightful stay in Lecco, for the yummy breakfasts and helpful advice on walks. The flat is situated in a quiet spot near some woodland, within easy walking distance from the lake, buses, restaurants and shops. We enjoyed walking alongside the lake, and taking a cable car to the cooler Piani d'Erna with its nature trail with amazing views of the mountains, lakes and pastureland.

We stayed for only one night but we really liked the b&b a lot. The room was very comfortable, very clean and a great price. We arrived by train and could easily move around the city on foot. Good breakfast with homemade products as well. Very kind hosts and they also give great advice on visiting the city. Highly recommended.

Very pleasant welcome from Patrizia, who speaks English perfectly. She gave us good advice on sightseeing and restaurants. The room is spacious, air-conditioned, and very clean. Il Lago Dipinto is well located and is a 15-minute walk from the lake.

That was a great choice! The property is located about a kilometer from the railway station and the lake. That was very important to me. Every room has a view of the lake, but that wasn't a problem. My room (blue) had a spectacular view of the mountains. There was a daily cleaning service. Breakfast was typical Italian style with fresh bread and pastries.

The Hosts make me feel like a family member. The house is near the mountains away from the noisy city. I had a splendid sleep, my room was very cozy and tidy. I was welcomed with a beautiful breakfast before my check out. If I could I would rate 100 out of 10! A home away from home.

Very spacious and welcoming room. Our child especially appreciated the colors of the rooms. Minimal but excellent breakfast. It is located a few meters from the lakeside and in 10/15 minutes on foot you reach the center of Lecco. Very kind and hospitable hosts! Structure located in the center but in a quiet area and the lake can be reached with a short walk. Very recent renovation and spacious and well-cleaned room. Bathroom ok. Good breakfast considering the type of structure: cakes, cookies, croissants, cereals, jams/nutella, fruit juices and yogurt. Not having a car, I didn't pay attention to parking possibilities, but it is definitely a structure that I feel like recommending.

Mr. Ivano welcomed us with kindness and care, making us feel immediately at ease and giving us useful information for our visit to the city. The spaces are new, bright, and very clean. The structure is not far from the station and the city center, and overall the quality-price ratio is excellent. We will definitely return to Mr. Ivano if we find ourselves in Lecco in the future.

Hello, we are 3 guys and, on the occasion of a job interview, we booked the Blue Room for 2 nights. The structure is truly excellent, very comfortable and quiet, the rooms pleasantly air-conditioned for those who go in summer, equipped with all the comforts, and is located in a very well-served area, rich in shops and quite close to the lakeside. The view from the little balcony of the room is truly breathtaking, and for the breakfast served we found everything fresh and abundant. A special thanks goes to Mr. Ivano, who gave us useful advice, both on how to move around the area and regarding excursions for the equipped trails along the mountain slopes. What else to say: the pleasant stay evidently helped us, because we passed the interviews with flying colors. Thanks to this splendid B&B.

We stayed in a B&B room where everything was perfect: the comfort, the decor, the welcome, the absolute cleanliness.\n\nOur host was very attentive but discreet. Balanced and plentiful breakfast with a fresh homemade cake different every day. Structure renovated a few years ago, so the red room I used was perfect, both in electrical and sanitary installations, excellent windows. Very comfortable double bed as well as the pillows. A nice touch was the electric kettle with tea bags, herbal teas, and cappuccino. Excellent breakfast with coffee, cappuccinos, cakes, biscuits, bread, jam, yogurt, and juice, accompanied by the owner's chats. Thanks to Arturo, the owner, for letting us park the motorcycle in the garden under our room. I recommend it to everyone.

The structure has been recently renovated, with great taste. The neighborhood is a few minutes from the center, but very quiet. Free air conditioning and Wi-Fi. Excellent cleanliness. Abundant and varied Italian breakfast, with fresh fruit, fresh bread of various kinds, good coffee. The owner is kind and helpful. Complete satisfaction, and an experience to be repeated.
