Description
Holiday Home Il Pozzo is located in an elegant historic building in the heart of Bergamo’s Upper Town (Città Alta) historic center.
The name of the house recalls the ancient original well, still visible at the entrance of the courtyard—an authentic detail that tells the story and charm of the place even before stepping inside.
Situated on the first floor and fully renovated, the apartment combines the historic character of the building with modern comforts, offering spacious and bright rooms for the exclusive use of guests.
The spaces are designed to ensure functionality and a welcoming atmosphere:
an entrance with a dedicated home-working area,
a large living area with dining room and lounge featuring a sofa bed and a foldaway single bed,
two bedrooms that can be arranged with double or single beds, two bathrooms,
a practical storage room,
a separate, fully equipped kitchen.
The apartment can accommodate up to seven guests, plus a crib for a child up to two/three years old.
Amenities include:
Wi-Fi,
washing machine,
dishwasher,
traditional oven and microwave,
coffee maker, citrus juicer,
iron,
2 phones,
a small library,
games for children up to three years old,
high chair,
crib.
All this ensures a comfortable stay, whether for short holidays or longer stays related to study or work.
The price includes utilities, heating, bed and bath linen, and a permit allowing access to the limited traffic zone of Città Alta.
The location is ideal for exploring Bergamo on foot: Piazza Vecchia, the University, Teatro Sociale, museums, artisan shops, and traditional restaurants are just minutes away, as well as the funiculars connecting the Upper Town with the Lower Town and the nearby hill.
Città Alta, enclosed by the Venetian Walls (a UNESCO World Heritage Site), offers enchanting views among cobbled alleys, historic buildings, and panoramas stretching to the Pre-Alps.
The apartment is easily reachable by public transport from Orio al Serio Airport and from the train and bus stations.
Nearby there are four parking areas for cars, motorcycles, or bicycles.
Staying here means immersing yourself in the beauty of one of Italy’s most fascinating historic towns, with the comfort of a spacious home cared for in every detail.
Bergamo also enjoys a strategic location for visiting other cities such as Milan, Verona, Brescia, Venice, or for short trips to Lake Iseo and Lake Garda.
