Description
The Holiday Home Il Pozzo is located in an elegant historic building in the heart of Bergamo's Città Alta, just a hundred meters from Piazza Vecchia. The name of the home refers to the ancient original well still visible at the entrance of the courtyard, an authentic detail that captures the history and charm of the place even before stepping inside the apartment.
Situated on the first floor and fully renovated, the accommodation combines the historical character of the building with modern comforts, offering spacious and bright areas exclusively reserved for guests. The spaces are designed to ensure both functionality and a welcoming atmosphere: an entrance with a dedicated home working area, a large living area with a dining room and lounge, a separate fully equipped kitchen, two bedrooms that can be configured with either double or single beds, two bathrooms, and a practical storage room. The capacity accommodates up to seven people, thanks to a double sofa bed and an additional sleeping area, with availability for a crib and high chair for children.
Amenities include Wi-Fi, washing machine, dishwasher, traditional and microwave ovens, coffee maker, juicer, iron, hairdryer, courtesy set, and a small library, ensuring a comfortable stay whether for short vacations or longer stays related to study or work. The price includes utilities, heating, bed and bath linens, and a pass that allows access to the restricted traffic zone of Città Alta.
The location is perfect for experiencing the medieval atmosphere of Bergamo on foot: Piazza Vecchia, the University, the Teatro Sociale, museums, shops, and typical restaurants are all just minutes away, along with the funicular that connects the upper part of the city to the lower part. Città Alta, surrounded by the UNESCO World Heritage-listed Venetian walls, offers picturesque views among cobblestone streets, historic buildings, and vistas extending to the Prealps.
The apartment is easily accessible by public transport from Orio al Serio Airport and the train and bus stations. Nearby, street parking is available in paid areas during the day, with free parking in the evening and at night, and a partnership with a covered and secure garage located a short distance away. Staying here means immersing yourself in the timeless beauty of one of Italy's most captivating historic towns, with the comfort of a spacious home meticulously attended to in every detail.
