Description

The B&B "Casa Margherita" stando in Piazza delle Erbe (Erbe Square), that is in the centre of Mantua. It's next to Palazzo Ducale and Castello San Giorgio (residence of Gonzaga's Family), and next to many others historical palaces and places of interest. The old house, typical example of Mantuan architecture, was widely restored: the owner Barbara and Andrea furnished it stylishly and soberly.

We offer to our guests three 60 mq rooms with private bathroom.

Moreover you can enjoy of a contiguous room, with evtl additional beds, on request.

The B&B "Casa Margherita" is the right solution if you want to visit a real treasure like Mantua is. Therère three little lakes that run right round the town. This one contains many art treasures and many works of Andrea Mantegna, Giulio Romano, Leon Battista Alberti and many other artists.

We stayed one night in this ancient charming property in the heart of the city of Mantua. The rooms are very spacious, clean, and tastefully furnished. Excellent breakfast served in a truly lovely little room. Mrs. Barbara is a delightful person to say the least: we felt welcomed as if we were family! We absolutely recommend Casa Margherita, the ideal solution for those who want to immerse themselves in the heart of the city and at the same time find a safe and welcoming haven to return to.

Excellent Bed&Breakfast in Piazza delle Erbe, in the center of Mantova. Very clean, very spacious, with check-in available from 11 in the morning. Excellent welcome with kindness. Good breakfast with fresh croissants in a pleasant atmosphere. Very well-kept rooms overlooking the square. Pillows may be a bit too soft. To come back. Thanks to the owner!

Excellent location right in the center, convenient to have the ZTL pass, stunning double room in practice it's like having two communicating rooms with a shared bathroom (so for 4 people even if not related it's highly recommended), spacious and private, tasteful furnishings that create a lovely atmosphere. Unfortunately, due to anti-COVID rules, it was not possible to have breakfast in the delightful room where we glimpsed some beautiful porcelains, but we still enjoyed a voucher for the bar below so no inconvenience in the end. I didn't give a 10 to the structure, but a 9 only for the stairs; being in a historic building, it is obviously without an elevator, but luckily we got the first floor. I recommend it to everyone and if you happen to be in Mantova for a weekend in July and August, don't miss the trip on the Mincio to see the lotus flowers, if you start from Curtatone-Grazie you can also admire the Sanctuary of Our Lady of Grace and the small village, a destination for the madonnari gathering on August 15th.

We took advantage of a work commitment to visit Mantua. Luckily we stayed at the B&B Casa Margherita. Extremely central location, extreme cleanliness, delicious breakfast, but even more importantly the friendliness and availability of the owner. Absolutely recommended.

Delightful B&B located in a strategic position right in the center close to monuments, restaurants, and shops. A staircase leads to the rooms (one per floor). Mine was a double with a bathroom and a small hallway, ideal for 2 friends or families. The owner is very kind and helpful, and breakfast is served in an elegant room with very fresh sweet products. The price is fair, considering the two rooms and the location. Highly recommended!

We had a great time, the central location allowed us to walk everywhere. The house is well furnished and welcoming, the rooms are spacious, the linen is carefully maintained and everything is very clean. Mrs. Barbara is very friendly and gave us a little notebook she wrote with tips about the city. The breakfast only includes sweet foods, maybe some fruit could be added. We will definitely return to this property next time.

I spent a fantastic weekend in May with my husband at this excellent Bed and Breakfast. The main strength is the central location of the property (which occupies 3 floors of a building located a stone's throw from Piazza delle Erbe and Piazza Sordello, the center of Mantova). The rooms are huge and clean. The bathroom is huge, clean, equipped with a bathtub and shower. I would like to offer a small piece of advice to the owner: in my opinion, the bathroom would need a renovation, the sanitary ware, shower, and bathtub, although very clean and well maintained, show some years. The breakfast was good and rich: croissants, the typical sbrisolona cake, biscuits, jams, milk, coffee, juices. It could possibly be enriched with some savory food: cheeses, ham. The owner Barbara was very kind and helpful, as well as her colleague whom we met at breakfast. Excellent value for money, we will definitely return on our next visit to Mantova.

We were at Easter with my wife, my son, and my brothers-in-law. If the ratings may appear high, in fact, it is not because the location of Casa Margherita deserves a 10 out of 10, Mrs. Barbara a 10 out of 10 for kindness, courtesy, familiarity, the room 10 out of 10. In short, if anything, the ratings do not do full justice. Mrs. Barbara then remained truly in our dearest memories.

Excellent establishment decorated with great taste. The rooms are beautiful and spacious. For 3 (2 adults + 1 child of 7 years) we had 1 suite with 2 rooms for the price of 1 room. The breakfast is delicious with a homemade cake in addition to the usual pastries and the owner is charming, speaks English and French. As for the location, it is exceptional, in the middle of the street that goes from the square to the ducal palace (2 min on one side, 3 min on the other).

It's the B&B of my dreams, very central location, acoustically isolated, wooden floors, endless space, elegance and attention to detail, generous breakfast in a delightful sitting room.
