Description

The B&B Casa Cantoniera is the ideal solution for people who want a comfortable accommodation in the countryside at a reasonable price and close to the city. Ask us for a quote for your stay.

The house is surrounded by a garden full of plants and flowers kissed all day from the sun. Each guest room has a private bathroom, wifi and air conditioning. A babybed can be added to each room. For everyone there is a large common room with television, games, newspapers and tourist information material.

This former Casa Cantoniera has been completely renovated with energy saving solutions and has become a charming B&B in a comfortable, clean and original environment. It has a large outdoor parking area which can be reached by a staircase that crosses the garden.

In the garden we have a small swimming pool in the middle of the lawn, especially loved by children in the hot season.

It is located at the entrance of the city in an area easily reachable from the railway stations by city buses no. 1 and n. 8, which stop 200 meters from the entrance.

The historic center of the city of Como can also be reached on foot in 20 minutes along a downhill road.

We have been using the house as a bed and breakfast since our son moved to the USA for his job.

When we are not traveling, we like to meet many
different people to share our experiences. We are very lucky because we live in a city we love very much and near a truly enchanting lake in every season.

The Casa Cantoniera is located in the immediate outskirts of the city, along the Statale dei Giovi towards the highway. It is close to the bus stop both leading to the new hospital and to the TRENORD railway station that leads to Milan. The city can be reached in 20 minutes on foot.
Hiking trails start at the B & B in the Spina Verde park towards Switzerland.

Paolo and Daniella are really attentive to their guests. They answer all your questions about Como and the surrounding area. They speak French and English in addition to Italian. Very friendly and welcoming owners. Very clean and well-equipped accommodation. Quite close to the center of Como (20 minutes walk). The only downside is the significant and incessant noise from the road despite the double glazing and earplugs.

Great find this B&B in Casa Cantoniera! The setting is friendly and Daniela takes care of her guests advising them willingly on activities to do and how to get there, also in French. The room had a bathroom with shower. Some furnishings to store belongings, a armchair and stylish furniture. It's simple yet functional. The bed was comfortable. Note that it's preferable to take bus n°1 from San Giovanni station, especially with a wheeled suitcase, as it's a 2km walk. Breakfast is just perfect with plenty of good things available and homemade jams. The outside area is also nice but the weather didn't allow me to enjoy it. Small pool that must be very pleasant. It's better to sleep with the window closed because the house overlooks a busy road and the train track, however the sound insulation is good. Lots of information is available along with a lounge area with television. It's also possible to buy bus tickets. The decor is rather vintage but very nice.

The owner is very kind! She speaks many languages, which is a real plus. She advises us and is always available. Casa Cantoniera is very clean and the rooms are very good! The location is perfect as it is easy to access and well served. Only downside: the road passing underneath which can cause some noise. We will come back!

Ideal base to visit the lake and the city avoiding costs and parking issues in the 'trendy' areas. The center of Como can be reached with a pleasant walk of about 20 minutes on foot, 30 along the lakeshore. The structure and the garden are beautiful, accurate management by the owners, a true B&B! Highly recommended.

Great friendly and sociable people. Enchanting place surrounded by greenery, with a wonderful pool, pure relaxation. Buffet breakfast, then take what you want, jams produced by them. Excellent breakfast. Cleaning is normal. They should pay more attention to small details (for the cleaning lady). Stunning rooms, with air conditioning, large and welcoming bathrooms. Small flaw in the mattresses and beds, not suitable for people with back problems. They should change mattresses and slats. Otherwise, it's a 10 out of 10 structure. It has all the comforts to relax and spend your holidays surrounded by greenery. I congratulate the girl and the dad who are 2 friendly and very kind people. I will definitely come back. I recommend it to everyone.

This is a very nice B&B, and Stella and Giuseppe are wonderful hosts. The rooms are nice, everything works, everything is clean, and the garden is restful and well groomed. And a pool! The parking is a big bonus. The location is close to transit to Como, although we chose to ride our bikes into town. The only negative is traffic noise. The property borders a main street and across the street is a railway. We are sensitive to noise and slept with ear plugs. Otherwise, it's great.

The structure is slightly peripheral, but it is easily reachable by car (and free parking), by train and other public transport (which run until midnight). The rooms are spacious and bright, the shared bathroom is large and clean. The breakfast area is very bright, and the exterior is really unique. Beautiful structure and definitely great value for money.
