Start by partnering her husband Nicola, owner of a B&B in the city of Bergamo. Thanks to his experience and passion for this work, he is currently responsible for Bergamo Sottosopra.

Via Giacomo Quarenghi is one of the earliest streets of Bergamo and takes its name from the famous architect that was born here. The first section of the street, where Bergamo Sottosopra bed and breakfast is located, is a dynamic area with numerous shops and restored historical buildings. Convenient central location in Bergamo, within walking distance of the train station and the airport bus stop. The bathroom is shared between two rooms; it was large and clean, and the beds were comfortable. There is an equipped kitchen for shared use. Late self check-in was easy with clear instructions, and communication was smooth. Recommended overall.

A really lovely room. We shared a bathroom, but that was okay. The owner is lovely too. The sounds of the church bells were a delightful way to wake up, but only after opening the windows. They aren't loud when the windows are closed. A really great spot for exploring Bergamo.

Rooms with good areas. There were balconies/terraces. Kitchen with necessary equipment and iron, tea and cookies. Quiet area, there was no noise, very good for resting. Very close to restaurants, cafes, shops, shopping area. Would come back next time.

We had a wonderful time! The place is very clean, affordable, has an excellent price-quality ratio and, although there is no breakfast, the place offers the possibility to prepare tea, herbal tea and coffee for free, as well as providing the use of the kitchen and dining room. We stayed for one night and we had a great time. The place is very central in Bergamo bassa, it is possible to reach everything on foot and park the car in the garage. The room is nice and clean with all possible amenities, the owners are very friendly and helpful. Highly recommended.

It is a very interesting accommodation, well located, well organized. The room with balcony is pleasant, tastefully decorated and very comfortable. We had a very terrible night there because the other guests cannot get into the house so they made a lot of noises in the middle of the night. There was no soundproofing, so if other guests made noises you can hear everything. Also the room is small, I did not expect the room size to be so small. But the location is good and the owner was trying to help. But I had too terrible an experience there.

The hosts were friendly and communicative, and the property was clean and spacious. Nice rooftop city views from the balcony, too! Our room shared a wall with an unrenovated flat next door, which made the wall and the air a little cold, but I do not think there is much one can do about that. There were enough blankets to keep us warm and it was a peaceful night. Special thanks to the hosts for accommodating our need to store luggage during the day. I would definitely stay here again.

This is a lovely, well maintained property positioned just a short walk to the centre of the lower part of Bergamo town and only a ten minute walk to the bus station. The property was very clean and we were grateful for the use of the communal kitchen - particularly the complimentary coffee. We would definitely stay here again.

The room was simple and clean, good location at the foot of the old city and on a courtyard. Parking was available on site for a fee but be sure to book ahead. The fridge needs to be updated/cleaned better. Not sure if breakfast was included or not. There was no air conditioning but there was a fan; however, if you keep the windows open for air you also get the loud hum of the huge air conditioning unit across the courtyard. An air conditioning unit would probably be a better option. The owner was responsive and flexible.

This was a good place for three of us for an overnight before heading out again on the train. Shared small kitchen area, which was strange, with a bedroom/bathroom not used by us but could have been rented to someone else. Clean, good shower. 13 mins walk to train.

Great location and well organized, very clean. However, the mattress was so bad that we barely slept and my wife has been in agony all day with back pain. For that reason, I wouldn't stay again, but if they change the mattress, it would be an excellent place to stay.

This property is very well decorated and is exceptional in terms of comfort, location and cleanliness. The hosts were great and left very clear instructions. The room was large and included extra touches like a large Dyson fan but the shutters onto the balcony provided enough air flow through the room - I left the french doors open and drew the insect curtain. The room included a spacious balcony with a view over rooftops to the tower. Another great touch was the Italian coffee and Moka pots and a range of teas. Cold fresh water available in the fridge. The location was great too - close to the centre and has bars, cafes, shops and restaurants on its doorstep. I couldn't recommend this property highly enough and will surely return.

The stay was fine. Contact with the host was good, clear instructions for self check-in, perfect location, use of the indoor garage (paid). The mattress was a bit hard, the shower head keeps spraying towards the wall, when other guests are in the hallway it is a bit noisy.

The site is relatively close to the train station, although far from the historic center of Bergamo. Access is autonomous via code, so initially there is no contact with the host. The room and the usable space are clean and modernly furnished. It has a kitchen and is well equipped. Overall, it has a good value for money. Despite not having contact with the host, they provided us with all the help we requested and even allowed us to leave the luggage and pick it up outside the check-in hours, free of charge.

Strategic location, right in the center. We were also able to use the garage so we parked the car that we didn't touch until departure. Everything was very organized: precise directions to open the entrance gate, the garage gate, and the house gate, where to find the keys, how to activate the WiFi connection, in short, everything very precise. Personally, I missed "seeing someone", exchanging a few words with the hosts that make the visit unique because you taste the soul of the city with them.

The host was very helpful with arrival instructions, including instructions on how to get from the airport to the property. The room and bathroom were spotless, very clean, and comfortable. My only complaint is that the shower only had hot water for a minute or two. But that is likely out of the control of the host. Otherwise, we had an amazing stay! I would highly recommend this place to others.

I liked the location of the bed and breakfast "Bergamo Sottosopra", close to the train station and a few minutes from the center. The booking management was also precise. Great remote assistance from the host. The remote check-in can be intimidating at times, but Ambra was there at every moment and for every need, guiding me step by step! The location was fantastic for visiting Bergamo. The host was very accommodating, especially as I had a foot injury and needed a shower rather than a bath. This was arranged without any issues. The only downside was the lack of air conditioning. However, the hosts provided us with two fans.

Super care by the owners Ambra and Nicola (email correspondence in Italian or Spanish, reception upon arrival, tips and city information, help with questions, etc.) in a charming and warm hospitable manner. A fully equipped kitchen with cooking utensils, Mocca machines and various breakfast foods (fresh fruits, eggs, yogurt, milk, butter...) are available - only fresh bread needs to be purchased at one of the nearby bakeries.
