The B&B is located in the center of the country in an old house dating back to 1500 in the old kitchen and there is a tavern which serves breakfast and a room with bathroom. At the recent restructuring are two double bedrooms with attached bathrooms. swimmingpool for Guests

Eugenio Valeria and Giulia live in this House dating back to 1500 for the past 15 years, the recent renovation of a portion of the House has allowed us to realize our dream, offer hospitality to people who appreciate the flavor of old houses in a family atmosphere where calm and relaxation is guaranteed. So is the adventure game to open a bed and breakfast with which we hope to be able to partly finance the project but basically fascinates us the idea to know other people and be able to offer an unforgettable stay in our opinion.

Just 5 minutes from Sarnico on Lake Iseo, in a hilly area, it is halfway between Bergamo and Brescia, just 20 minutes from Orio al Serio airport and 40 minutes from Milan. It is also close to Franciacorta for wine and food itineraries.
Adrara San Martino is located on the hills west of Lake Iseo.
The village is situated at an altitude of 355 meters with a population of 2150 inhabitants, while the territory covers approximately 12.53 square kilometers. The first historical records of the existence of the village of Adrara date back to the year one thousand.
However, Adrara and its territory, due to its strategic position as an ancient road linking Bergamo and Brescia that crossed the Oglio near Calepio, under the castle of Trebecco, from which the road to Adrara to Sarnico also branched off, were affected by the great historical events related to the various dominations of the Etruscans, Gauls, Romans, Barbarians, and feudal lords, until the domination of Venice and Napoleon.
Along these roads, Roman tombs and objects have been found, and the ruins of the Etruscan bridge over the Oglio still remain. Adrara was certainly an important fiefdom linked to the presence of two noble families, the Longhi and the Alessandri. The presence of these two noble families led, from ancient times, to the establishment of a school with famous teachers that served the entire valley.
The buildings in the area were made of local gray sandstone. The stone from Sarnico was used for the outlines of doors and windows from the seventeenth century onwards. Previous constructions also used the local stone with large rough faces, as can be seen in the streets of the historic center of Adrara. The center of Adrara itself preserves architectural details from the Romanesque to the neoclassical period.

Great welcome by Valeria and her daughter Giulia. Very nice house decorated with taste and beautiful outdoor area with the pool which is a plus with children. We had good recommendations (restaurants, visits). Highly recommended! We will come back.

Valeria en Eugenio zijn heel sympathieke en behulpzame mensen.
Niets is hen te veel. Eugenio geeft goede info betreffende wandelingen in de buurt, het nemen van de veerboot naar het eiland Mont'Isola,..
Valeria is een topvrouw! Zij is altijd goedgezind, maakt een voortreffelijk ontbijt klaar, geeft tips voor uitstapjes,..
En hoewel ze enkel Italiaans spreekt, vormt dat voor mij niet echt een probleem daar ik de taal leer.
Ze is geduldig en een zeer goede leermeester.
De bnb is zeer goed gelegen om van alles te doen: wandelen, fietsen, een boottocht maken vanuit Sarnico of Isola,..
Ook vandaaruit kan je bvb Milaan, Verona, Brescia, Bergamo,..bezoeken.

We had an awesome 3 day stay at Casa del Nonno! All the rooms have been renovated with delicate taste, combining modern conveniences and decor, yet preserving the rich centuries-old history of the the house. The breakfast room is full of family memories which go back several generations, a great topic of conversations ask them for stories! Eugenio's craftsmanship and design shows everywhere; his sense of re-using everything, transforming scrap (even old nails savaged in the renovation!) into art. You don't even notice the solar panels on the roof! The manicured garden is a peaceful retreat with spectacular views of the Alps and the Piedmont valley, just sit and enjoy it. Valeria's (daily) home-made pastries and her (large) cappuccinos, served with heart-shaped foam, are exquisite; they make breakfast a very special time. And the innkeepers' love for the "Casa del Nonno" extends to their guests in heart-warming hospitality! For us all things combined into a perfect 10!

- nicht wirklich für Familien geeignet
- Achtung!: Nutzung der Küche nur begrenzt (Mikrowelle, Toster, Geschirr) - kein Kochen erlaubt. Minibar im Zimmer nicht für eine 4- köpfige Familie ausreichend.
- Hund der Gastgeber läuft die ganze Zeit ohne Maulkorb herum
- die Lage weit vom Iseosee; das Dorf nicht besonders attraktiv
- Frühstück monoton, immer das gleiche, keine Früchte oder Gemüse. Man hat sich nicht getraut um den zweiten Kaffee nachzufragen. Wir haben immer nur 2 gekochte Eier gekriegt obwohl wir zu viert waren.
- Privatsphäre fehlt, man ist ständig unter Beobachtung der Gastgeber.

A noi dispiace che non siete rimasti soddisfatti, ma forse per la vostra famiglia era meglio un appartamento, il bed and breakfast è concepito in maniera dove l'ospite sta in casa dei proprietari e deve anche accettare la vita quotidiana della nostra famiglia. Se poi a voi non piacciono gli animali, potevate dirlo prima. Vi abbiamo messo a disposizione l'uso delle stoviglie ma ovviamente per legge non si può cucinare nei bed and breakfast. Anche nelle camere che hanno tutti i confort, non possiamo mettere un frigo da 100l. Il mini frigo è sufficiente. Riguardo alla zona, potevate informarvi prima di prenotare, forse un bed and breakfast vista lago lo trovavate. Per le colazioni, bastava chiedere il doppio cappuccino o altro ma se a domanda "volete altro?" voi rispondete "tutto ok", per noi è apposto. Sulla gentilezza mi dispiace che non ci sia stato feeling, ma mi sembra che abbonarvi una camera per una settimana di un vostro parente che il giorno dell'arrivo non si è presentato sia oltre la gentilezza, ad essere maleducati avremmo dovuto farvela pagare. Un consiglio spassionato, per le prossime vostre vacanze affittate un appartamento. Eugenio, Valeria, Giulia e il nostro cane Eight.

Da ich noch nie B&B gebucht hatte war ich mehr als skeptisch.
Diese Bedenken waren spätestens bei der Ankunft verflogen. Ich hätte niemals eine solche Unterkunft, Service und so eine liebevolle Betreuung erwartet.
Für mich ist dieses B&B besser als viele 3* Hotels.

Siamo una famiglia di 4 persone che ha trascorso le vacanze in questo incantevole B&B. La location è semplicemente fantastica. Tutto è come appare nelle foto e dal vivo è ancora più bello!
La posizione è ideale in quanto in una zona tranquilla ma vicina a tutte le principali località di interesse della regione. Valeria, Eugenio e Giulia, oltre che gentilissimi e simpaticissimi, forniscono preziose informazioni sulle attrazioni del luogo così da rendere indimenticabile ogni giorno della vacanza.

We have fully enjoyed the very charming B&B of Valeria and Eugenio. Entering the house, was such a surprise, as if we stepped into another world. The rooms are very nice, the garden, the reading corner, the swimming pool, the total environment is really beautiful. Eugenio and Valeria are the most friendly and nice Italian people we've ever met. They really do everything to ensure the guests make the best out of their stay. We really recommend this B&B to anyone. It is the perfect location for visiting Lago d'Iseo, Bergamo, Milano, or for hiking in the green mountains so nearby.

Fatevi raccontare da Eugenio e Valeria con che passione hanno ristrutturato questa vecchia casa di famiglia. La stessa passione ed emozione la ritroverete in ogni dettaglio. Niente è fuori posto, ma niente mette soggezione.
