Welcome to Grosio with B&B Villa Verde!
It is in Valtellina, 12 km from Tirano and 25 km from Bormio
Coming from Tirano, on the left side of the road that leads you to the centre of Grosio, you find the Villa Verde with its beautiful garden.
On the second floor, recently renovated, are four confortable bedrooms for our guests. Three rooms are called violet, rose and hydrangea, each room having the name of the flowers in the garden. Insteat one room is called “mansardina” because it is near the roof and covered with wood. They are spacious and well-lit. The facilities, for each room, include a TV, a new wardrobe, shower, hair dryer equipment and thermostat-controlled heating. One room has also access to a large terrace which looking onto the garden. The breakfast room is conveniently located next to the rooms. In summer, breakfast can also be served in the garden.
It is possible to share the use of a refrigerator and wireless internet, whilst the mezzanine is equipped with brochures, books, magazines, games for all ages and even a telescope for guests interested in astronomy. A terrace solarium is available for our guests.
The parking for 3-4 cars is inside, on the back of the house. The enclosed garage is available for bikes.
The B&B Villa Verde is located in Grosio, near Upper Valtellina, between Bormio and Tirano. It‘s a strategic place for bikers, motorcyclists, skiers; as well as for those who want to spend a relaxing day at the thermal springs in Bormio, or an unforgettable trip on the Bernina red train.

• Grosio is at central position from important turist resort: Bormio, Livigno, S. Caterina, Aprica, Teglio, St. Moritz. Also it is at strategic location for to reach the historical pass of cycling: Mortirolo o passo Foppa, Gavia, Stelvio, Bernina, Aprica, Verva.
• The location is approximately midway between Bormio and Tirano and it is possible within 15 min. to reach the ski slopes, ice-skating rings, the thermal bathing pool and the famous ancient roman thermal baths. Also in 10 min. visit Tirano and catch the red train of the Bernina pass and travel direct to Saint Moritz rising over 2000 m. and passing a fairyland of scenery.
• The antiquity of Grosio together with anthropological history demands recognitions for its prime importance in the Valtellina region.
• The mountain regions, Valgrosina, Valdidentro and Alpi Orobiche culminate at the Mortirolo pass, which offers uncontaminated atmosphere and great satisfaction to enthusiastic bush walkers, mountain climbers, bike riders.
• In Grosio it is possible to visit: the park of rock carvings with medieval castle evidence of continuous inhabitation of this region since prehistoric times. The “Rupe Magna” is the largest example of rock carving in the alpine area. Entry to the park is free, but to fully appreciate the history we recommended a guided tour. The “Villa Visconti Venosta” is a museum and library surrounded by a huge park with a well equipped playground for children. A museum of costumes and one of the uniforms of the Great War. Breakfast is prepared in front of the living-room and breakfast for guests.
During the summer, breakfast is served outside under a large porch that overlooks the garden.
In addition to coffee, milk, tea and chocolate, there are always fresh fruit, fruit juices and yoghurt, muesli and various types of cereals. The bread is always fresh on the table even though there are always biscuits and soft bread to be toasted.
For a sweet, more Italian breakfast, there are brioches, biscuits, homemade cakes; while savory dishes with cold cuts, cheeses, eggs or omelettes are gladly prepared on request.

We had a great time, the room has everything you need, the homemade cakes available for breakfast are delicious and the owner is a very kind, friendly, and helpful person. You can see that she does this job out of passion and not just for profit.

Villa Verde is truly a place to return to, you feel at home and it's actually a mega villa. Welcoming structure, sober furnishings, nothing like a hotel (for me it's a positive thing), there's a family warmth. Mrs. Gian Franca is the perfect manager of the structure, always ready with valuable advice and available for various travel requests. Even the husband is an integral part of the success of the business, kind and sporty, who for our interest in the area (climbing the mythical climbs) has been a great interlocutor. Talking about the structure, cleanliness and order are top-notch, breakfast has everything you want, sweet and savory, and if needed just ask. Returning is a must.

B&B Villa Verde is a perfect example of a Bed and Breakfast where, in addition to the cleanliness and comfort of the property, I found in the owners hospitality, passion, and deep knowledge of the area, useful tips, discretion, attention to every request, and exquisite cordiality. The room is comfortable and spacious, and the breakfast is plentiful. Grosio is in an excellent location for many types of vacations in the area, from trekking in Valgrosina to mountain biking routes, to the proximity to other more famous (but also more touristy and sometimes less relaxed) places.

Gianfranca and Marino are two fantastic hosts and really lovely people. B&B Villa Verde is wonderful, clean, and with an exceptional value for money. Comfortable bed, very abundant breakfast, and our super hosts will do everything to ensure nothing is missing. The location is excellent, just a few kilometers from Bormio, Livigno, and Switzerland. We stayed 3 nights in this well-kept B&B Villa Verde with our children... What can I say: the kindness and friendliness of Franca and Marino prevail, they are people from another era... Friendly and helpful, pleasant to chat with them, always ready to meet any request and give directions and advice on places to visit. We felt so good that we will return in August in almost a month! Excellent strategic point for visiting the surrounding villages. Thank you for everything!

The structure is located just over a hundred meters from the center of the town, it stands out for the cleanliness of the rooms and above all for the kindness and friendliness of Mrs. Gianfranca and her husband, who make the guest feel completely at ease, in a welcoming and familiar environment. If we were to return to Valtellina, we would definitely come back to this property.

Nice and cozy place. Beautiful flower garden. The atmosphere is familiar and the owners were very kind and helpful, also providing recommendations on places to visit locally and not only, sharing anecdotes about Grosio's history. Room with a large balcony. We will definitely come back.

The structure is welcoming and clean. When you say "feeling at home!". In fact, it's like a real home, well-kept and lively. Mrs. Franca is a force of nature, always cheerful, passionate and full of advice. At breakfast, there is a nice mix of standard offerings and local products. We stayed here as a midpoint between Tirano and Bormio. However, the area seems to offer many other alternatives. Recommended!

Excellent facility and super friendly and helpful hosts. Staying at their facility was a great pleasure, highly recommend. You will feel at home, what else to say. The location is equidistant 15/20 minutes from both Bormio (for spas, skiing, and biking) and Tirano (for the Bernina train) and the village of Grosio is quiet but very welcoming (near the facility there are 4 or 5 restaurants/pizzerias within less than 1 km and always a few hundred meters from the facility there is the Rock Engravings Park and the 2 Castles of Grosio).

Nice and very clean structure. Grosio is a nice little village, with the surprise of knowing that it has two castles and a park of rock engravings. The lady who manages the B&B is very sociable and helpful. Also recommended is the Sassella hotel where there is an excellent restaurant.

We stayed in the Baita Mario apartment during New Year's week and I must say we had a great time. The house was clean and spacious, already equipped with sheets, blankets, towels, and dishes.
Located 15/20 minutes by car from the center of Bormio and the ski slopes. Furthermore, Mrs. Gianfranca was kind and helpful, and if we were to return to the area in the future, I would gladly stay in this apartment again.

Una mini vacanza resa perfetta sia dalla location che dall'accoglienza dei proprietari, Franca e Marino, due perfetti padroni di casa con la passione per questo lavoro e la voglia di fare sentire a casa gli ospiti.
La camera è molto accogliente, pulita, con un bel bagno; la sala della colazione è stata anche luogo di incontro e lunghe chiacchierate, la colazione buonissima con torte e biscotti fatti da loro.
La posizione è molto comoda per raggiungere Tirano, Bormio e Livigno.
Insomma tutto perfetto per rilassarsi, divertirsi e fare nuove amicizie.
Franca e Marino siete davvero due persone fantastiche.

Ci siamo trovati benissimo! La struttura è accogliente, la zona tranquilla. Il giardino è ben curato ed è rilassante fare la colazione, molto ricca e varia, nella veranda attigua.

Buona posizione, tranquilla; un paese da valorizzare viste le sue potenzialità storiche. I proprietari, Gianfranca e Marino, sono molto ospitali e capaci di consigliarti posti incantevoli indicandoti strade e percorsi da fare. Camere molto buone però un piccolo neo riguarda la mansarda che non è climatizzata, e purtroppo abbiamo sofferto parecchio il caldo. Die Villa steht in der Hauptstrasse. Man hört nur tagsüber Verkehr aber nicht abends/nachts.

Eccellente da tutti i punti di vista e assolutamente consigliato. Gianfranca e Marino sono molto accoglienti e ospitali e non fanno mancare proprio nulla ai loro ospiti. La struttura è ben posizionata, comoda e vicinissima a Tirano dove abbiamo fatto una bellissima gita con il "Trenino Rosso" del Bernina ed anche a Bormio con le sue magnifiche terme. Nel nostro, breve soggiorno, siamo stati perfettamente a nostro agio in un ambiente curato anche nei minimi dettagli e pulitissimo. All'esterno anche il giardino è molto curato e torneremo sicuramente anche in estate per poter trascorrere un po di tempo ed assaporare le colazione all'aperto. Inoltre la colazione è ottima e abbondante e Gianfranca sforna ogni giorno torte buonissime. Arrivederci a presto e grazie di cuore per la vostra splendida ospitalità!

Pensavamo ad una vacanza in Valtellina, non immaginavamo che sarebbe stata indimenticabile. Ci siamo sentiti subito accolti nella meravigliosa, pratica e comoda casa di Gianfranca e Marino. Con competenza e simpatia ci hanno consigliato al meglio per concretizzare le gite che avevamo programmato e aggiungendo nuovi itinerari. I nostri figli di 14 e 11 anni hanno respirato con noi il clima di schietta cordialità che si è creato con gli altri ospiti coi quali sono nate nuove amicizie. Alcuni dettagli "tecnici": ambienti puliti e accoglienti, super colazioni arricchite da dolci fatti in casa, un operoso paese in posizione strategica al di fuori della frenesia modaiola, un castello, anzi due, un luogo magico: la Rupe Magna.

Io e la mia famiglia (2 bimbi di 6 e 2 anni) abbiamo passato 3 notti nella casa dei Signori Gianfranca e Marino (2 persone veramente gentili, sane e alla buona). Accoglienza molto gentile e interessante ma comunque molto riservata e discreta. Non posso che consigliare a tutti questa ottima sistemazione. Siamo stati benissimo e se capiteremo di nuovo in zona ci fermeremo sicuramente ancora.

Struttura immersa nel verde e ben curata.
I gestori son stati molto cortesi e inoltre il liquore del Signor Marino è eccezionale.

Probabilmente il miglior B&B in cui siamo mai stati. Accoglienza molto famigliare ma sempre discreta, disponibilità verso qualsiasi (veramente qualsiasi!) esigenza, ambienti accoglienti, confortevoli, pulitissimi, luminosi e di gusto. Colazione ricca, degna di un hotel a 3 stelle. Stanze ampie, luminose, dotate di TV, con bagni assolutamente perfetti (il giro alto di piastrelle è decorato a mano dalla stessa signora Franca, titolare dell'esercizio e genio creativo assolutamente fuori dalla norma). Da ogni particolare, strutturale e organizzativo, traspare la grande passione che ispira la gestione di questa piccola grande attività e che pare sistematicamente anteposta a ogni considerazione economica (di guadagno e di risparmio). Unico problema: dopo una permanenza a Villa Verde i vostri standard di giudizio sui B&B diverranno molto più severi e la disponibilità ad "accontentarvi" calerà drasticamente, perché avrete toccato con mano che il vostro ideale, può esistere nella realtà.

Struttura molto carina a pochi km dalle piste da sci e dal centro di Bormio, la proprietaria molto gentile e disponibile per ogni esigenza. Dovesse capitare ci tornerei volentieri.

Abbiamo soggiornato due giorni in questa struttura con la mia famiglia e amici, ci siamo trovati benissimo, bella la stanza con il bagno che ho trovato pulitissimo, gentilissima la signora Gianfranca e suo marito, ottima la colazione, molto accogliente e curato nei piccoli particolari è da consigliare sicuramente, un saluto da Loris, Gabry, Patrick, Fabio, Orietta, Maria.

Che dire, il bed and breakfast che tutti vorrebbero. Accoglienza calda e sincera, struttra gradevole, pulitissima, curata e ben arredata (la proprieteria è un'artista).
Insomma se ricapiteremo in Valtellina un'altra tappa non la mancheremo.

Veramente ottimo per essere un B&B pulitissimo in bagno ho trovato bagnoschiuma sapone ecc; la proprietaria veramente un'ottima persona gentile. Se il prossimo anno voglio tornare al moto raduno di sicuro prenoterò in questa struttura!

L'Accoglienza della Signora Gianfranca, simpaticissima e molto cordiale e di suo marito Marino, uomo dalle mille risorse, ottimo l'amaro di erbe che produce, è veramente cosa da non dimenticare e perché no anche rara. Io e la mia famiglia abbiamo passato tre giorni nella splendida villa e da lì abbiamo fatto le nostre escursioni e gite. Grosio, paesino molto tranquillo, è molto vicino a Tirano dove parte il Trenino rosso del Bernina.
La villa e le sue camere sono veramente accoglienti e bellissime, il buon gusto si vede.
Anche le nostre bambine, Arianna e Viola ricordano tutti con affetto.

B&B ambiente molto accogliente con ampie camere ma sopratutto pulito e curato anche nei piccoli particolari. Colazione ottima con torte e dolcetti e marmellatte fatti in casa dalla signora Franca e che insieme al marito gestiscono questa attivita con passione.

B&B gestito con grande passione dai Marino e Franca, che cura personalmente tutti le decorazioni, l'arredo e sopratutto il giardino.
Posizione ottima per il Trenino Rosso, le terme di Bormio, Livigno, ecc.
Camere accoglienti e spaziose; pulizia eccellente, in particolare il bagno non può essere più pulito di così. Ottima colazione con marmellate e torte fatte in casa (sempre dalla Franca e da Marino). Assolutamente consigliato.

Abbiamo prenotato un week-end al B&B Villa Verde consigliato da amici di Roma, io e mia moglie per goderci 2 giorni di relax. Il B&B è convenzionato con le terme di Bormio. Scelta azzzeccata! L'accoglienza della signora Gianfranca estremamente cordiale e discreta. Le camere molto pulite e calde ed ogni cosa si trova al posto giusto. Colazione ottima e abbondante con un ricco buffet indimenticabile la torta fatta in casa dalla signora. Lo consiglio a tutti. Grazie!

Ottimo B&B all'interno di una villetta di proprietà.
I proprietari vivono al piano inferiore. Le camere sono ubicate ai piani superiori.
I proprietari hanno dimostrato garbo e riservatezza ma anche disponibilità, ospitalità e cortesia. Le camere e l'intero contesto è curato e ben gestito.
La sala della prima colazione è ampia e accogliente.
La colazione è varia, Apprezzabile le torte genuine preparate dalla signora Gianfranca.
Da consigliare indistintamente a tutti, coppie e/o famiglie con prole.
