Description
Houses that are not located directly on the road are becoming increasingly rare. Places that can only be reached by walking a few steps are free from cars and noise. A short stepped mule track, passing through the small historic center of Oro, descends from the road to the balcony above the lake where the House of Swallows stands.
It is a very old dwelling in a small village along the Wayfarer's Path. It overlooks a green slope about 100 meters above the lake shore and offers, from every room, a breathtaking view.

We had a very nice time. The house is historic and beautiful and has a wonderful view. Our host was very gentle, friendly, helpful and courteous. The location is quiet and has everything you need. We walked to Bellano for dinner and also to Dario on a very beautiful path with stunning views over the lake. The breakfast was delicious and made with love; we even got homemade grape juice from her vineyard. Make sure you have light luggage and are prepared to walk a few meters to get to the house. We loved it and want to come back sometime. Cheers Regine.
