Hey from Lorenza

Conditions
Area city center
Its location is particularly strategic: within minutes, you can reach the Rhaetian Railway, home to the famous Bernina Red Train, the Italian train station with connections to Milan and Como, direct bus services to the upper valley, and buses to Swiss destinations like St. Moritz and Lugano. This is also where the charming Yellow Train departs, perfect for a scenic tour between the center of Tirano and the terraced vineyards of the area.
Tirano is the Italian terminus of the renowned Bernina Red Train, a UNESCO World Heritage site and one of the most spectacular scenic train routes in the world. From the valley floor, it ascends to glaciers and high-altitude landscapes at the Bernina Pass, traversing forests, alpine lakes, and breathtaking valleys until it reaches St. Moritz and the beautiful Engadine.
The town also offers numerous leisure opportunities, with cycling paths, nature trails, sports centers, a swimming pool, green spaces, and routes suitable for both sports enthusiasts and those who simply wish to relax in nature. Local restaurants and trattorias serve authentic Valtellinese cuisine paired with renowned regional wines.
Among the must-visit places are the Sanctuary of the Madonna of Tirano, an important religious and artistic site, and the ancient Xenodochium of Santa Perpetua, a historical testament to the city's tradition of hospitality.
Thanks to its location, Tirano serves as an ideal starting point for reaching some of the most renowned destinations in the Alps, such as Bormio, Livigno, Aprica, Valdidentro, Valfurva, Valmalenco, and the Cancano Lakes. It is also a significant crossroads to Switzerland and the Engadine, South Tyrol via the Stelvio Pass, and Trentino through Tonale, offering spectacular routes in every season of the year.
