Absolutely and unreservedly recommendable: the perfect accommodation on Lake Como;we will be back. Everything was just perfect! The host Massimo understands how to run an accommodation in the best possible way and is always available to help with any concerns. Great rooms,great location on the lake,great breakfast and a great host!

We had a fantastic time at this beautiful lakeside accommodation. The peaceful location and the dreamy view made our holiday a perfect retreat. The house is lovingly furnished,spotless and offers everything you need for a comfortable stay. What really made our visit special,however,was Massimo. He is a wonderful host who,with his warm manner,attention to detail and many small thoughtful touches,makes you feel at home immediately. Every morning we were treated to a varied,freshly prepared breakfast,a real highlight of our stay. The location is also ideal: only a few steps to the beach,which remains pleasantly quiet even in high season – almost like a small,hidden paradise. In addition,Massimo gave us valuable tips for restaurants,excursions and activities in the area that perfectly rounded off our holiday. We felt welcome from the first minute and are leaving with a heavy heart. Thank you for everything, Massimo.

In June 2025, we stayed for 5 nights at Casa della Musica in the Mozartzimmer. The room was very nice, spacious, and had everything we needed. From the balcony, there was a wonderful view of Lake Lecco and the mountains. We really liked the quiet location. Nearby, there is an ice cream shop, a bistro, and a good restaurant right by the lake. Massimo, the landlord, is very warm and tries to fulfill every wish. Breakfast was always freshly prepared by him, very tasty and varied. We had a great time and would book the accommodation again at any time.

Massimo was a fantastic host! The place was lovely, and so was the town. The meals were fantastic. We had the option to have a dinner, which did not disappoint. So good! This will definitely be on our list of places to visit again.

We stayed for a week at B&B Casa della Musica, in the spacious Panorama Suite "Mozart" hosted by Massimo Gilardoni. The lovely B&B is located in Olcio, a suburb of Mandello del Lario. The view from the south balcony of the suite overlooking Lake Como is incredibly beautiful! The room is spacious, nicely furnished, and very well-kept. Although it is located under the roof, one can sleep well and rested even in great heat, thanks to the air conditioning. We were very pleasantly surprised by our host Massimo! He is a very friendly, extremely helpful, humorous person who is always available to his guests and shows great commitment to them! In the room, you will find several binders created in multiple languages by Massimo, where you can find information about tourist destinations, trains, buses, ferries, and restaurants. The illustrated, extensive descriptions have been lovingly created by Massimo, and there is something suitable for every holiday activity! Incredible, as we have never found anything like this before! Additionally, he gets up early in the kitchen and personally prepares breakfast, which he serves on the breakfast terrace, which can also be covered upon request. There is a specially set table for each room. A portion of the breakfast is already prepared in advance and is located in a large outdoor refrigerator, where each room has its own compartment. Everything is neatly sealed airtight, so guests can help themselves to cheese/meat platters, freshly cut fruits and vegetables from the compartment. Massimo then brings coffee of choice, juice, and water to the table. After that, he returns to the kitchen and fries eggs and bacon, which he brings fresh to the table. Twice a week, you can even have dinner at the B&B upon request, which is prepared by Massimo with the help of chef Patrizia. Since Massimo is himself a musician (organist) and plays the piano, the beautiful name of the B&B Casa Della Musica and also the names of the rooms, Mozart, Bach, Beethoven, Vivaldi, have been a custom individual choice! Unfortunately, we did not hear him play live, but there were classical and modern sounds during breakfast with stylishly selected instruments that softly emanated from a radio and are surely personal playlists of Massimo. All in all, a very nice stay at B&B Casa della Musica!!! Thank you very much dear Massimo and team for an unforgettable stay! Barbara & Oliver.

Massimo was an extraordinary gentleman, with a big heart. Everything was perfect from A to Z.

Excellent accommodation with a lake view, very clean, perfect breakfast and Massimo is the best host.

Massimo is a great host, very welcoming. He even prepared albums in every room with daily activities. We spent a nice holiday in Italy, would definitely stay again at Casa della Musica for another holiday nearby.

We stayed for a week at B&B Casa della Musica. The house is simply fantastic, the room is very clean and bright, equipped with a terrace with a spectacular view of the lake. Massimo's welcome was truly exquisite, available for every need. There is not only professionalism and a spirit of service, but also and above all passion, availability, and friendliness in welcoming guests. We will definitely come back. Highly recommended.

We had a very pleasant stay at B&B Casa della Musica. The owner, Massimo, does everything to make your stay enjoyable. Excellent and plentiful breakfasts, very clean and well-appointed apartment. The terrace with a view of the lake is very pleasant. Everything is perfect.

The property is very close to the beach, the railway station, 2-3 minutes walking. Olcio is a very quiet and silent place and a very nice place with good connection by railway. The property is very clean and comfortable. Massimo is very hospitable and helps immediately to solve any problem if there is. We have been on the top floor. The view is amazing from two balconies: Lake view and mountain view. Both are incredible. We really enjoyed it. Massimo is really the best. Edik and Liliya. Israel.

I have been traveling solo for more than 25 years and I highly recommend Casa Della Musica. Whether traveling solo, with friends or family, Casa Della Musica provides great hospitality, beyond expectations. It glows. The house is cozy, clean, tranquil, and safe. The location is superb. The view of the lake and mountains is a meditation per se. A big thank you to Massimo (host) for the warm reception and seamless stay. Like home, can't wait to return!

Massimo was such a brilliant host, we felt really looked after by him and enjoyed our stay very much in Olcio. The B&B is spotlessly clean, Massimo makes a lovely breakfast and the location is lovely if you want to get away from the crowds.

I highly recommend this place! Massimo is a very kind, helpful, and dedicated host. If we needed something, he always helped us (you could buy tickets, wine, or olive oil from him). Great location for those who appreciate peace away from the tourist crowds. 3 minutes from the cottage is the train station, but there is no noise in the apartment because of this. There is also a bus stop nearby. The view from the balcony - beautiful! There is also a table with chairs on the balcony. The room was very clean, and the bed was large and very comfortable. The only downside was that there is no shop nearby for grocery shopping. In conclusion, a great place worth considering for spending your Italian vacation! :)

Clean and quiet location, the manager is friendly and helpful, the only negative points are the lack of the manager's Point of Sale and the parking, we recommend booking the manager's parking (for a fee).

We stayed 6 nights at this delightful B&B with Massimo as our host. The rooms are great with a stunning view of Lake Como, every day the room was cleaned and the beds made fresh. In the morning we could enjoy a delicious and extensive breakfast that you wouldn't expect to find in Italy. Massimo is a great host who goes out of his way to make his guests feel at home, nothing is too much and you can turn to him for tips. In short: if we are in the area again, we know for sure where we will stay.

We spent 4 fantastic days on the shores of Lake Como at B&B Casa della Musica. An unforgettable birthday. Everything was great! The most important thing is the hotel owner Massimo, a wonderful person, cheerful, very attentive to the needs of guests, caring, definitely the best hotelier who loves his guests and his job. His assistant Fabio also impressed us. Massimo is a musician and everything in the hotel speaks of his love for classical music. The hotel is just to my taste, in a small cozy village of Olcio, not far from Varenna with a breathtaking view from the balcony of Lake Como and an equally memorable view of the mountains from the window right from the bed. The balcony is huge, corner with loungers for relaxation and balcony furniture. In our Verdi room, cleaning was done every day. The room has everything you need: a refrigerator, kettle, cups, tea, sugar, glasses, hotel toiletries, hairdryer, and first aid kit. Very comfortable bed, extra pillows, snow-white towels and towels for the lake. Massimo can order pizza for you with delivery to the terrace or a table in the trattoria and restaurant. In the room, there is a large book with options for relaxing on the lake, hiking routes, train and boat excursions. Massimo himself during check-in informed us in detail about everything. The breakfast is excellent, tasty, plentiful, with various types of meat, cheeses, omelets, vegetables and fruits, yogurts, juices. How nice to enjoy hot croissants and cappuccino on the terrace overlooking the lake to the sounds of classical music! We ate everything and until dinner we were full and full of energy. About the location of Olcio: very convenient. 5 minutes walk from the train station, the same to the lake. Trains did not disturb at all, almost silent, the car road at the beginning was a bit annoying, especially the motorcycles and scooters, which are very common in Italy, but soon I stopped noticing them. It is very convenient to reach the main tourist locations. To Varenna by train 15 minutes, from there ferries and boats in all directions, to Lecco 30 minutes by train, to Bergamo 40 minutes, to Milan 1 hour. There is no supermarket in Olcio, but at 2.5 km in the town of Mandello del Lario there is everything and a beautiful park and a supermarket. And finally, about swimming in the lake. The water in June is warm, clean, and transparent, there were almost no people on the beach. The shore is rocky, you need rubber shoes to enter the water. Thanks again to Massimo for the excellent time, comfort, and hospitality. Goodbye and I really hope for a new meeting!

An absolutely perfect vacation. This was mainly the merit of our host Massimo. He fulfilled almost every wish of ours. Thank you again for the good time.

We spent 5 wonderful days at Massimo's, Mozart room. Everything in the room is well organized for a comfortable stay - uninterrupted hot water, internet, and cleanliness were pleasing. The view from the balcony is stunning. The village itself is small, the nearest supermarket and pizzeria are a 5-minute drive away, Varena 7-10. Nearby there is a cafe-ice cream shop with a selection of cakes and a cozy courtyard. There are no walking paths along the lake. However, in the village there are many medieval buildings, an ancient church, narrow winding streets where it is nice to wander. We were satisfied with Massimo's homemade breakfasts - cappuccino, cold cuts and cheese, omelette, everything is cozy and delicious. Massimo is a very hospitable host and also plays the piano well, which is located in the hall. Everything in the house speaks of music. We will gladly stay at Massimo's next time as well!

Massimo was a super enthusiastic host, nothing is too much, he helped us with everything. Rooms were cleaned every day, comfortable beds, good wifi. Tasty and abundant breakfast, in a shared space. There was also a piano, where Massimo treated us to a concert.
