Our B&B Ametista is ocated in Ponteranica, a short distance from medieval Bergamo, and it issurrounded by a green area known as “Parco dei Colli”. It is the ideal location for a relaxing stay.
In the B&B Ametista you will find rocks and minerals which contribute to create harmony and a sense of wellbeing.
The rooms: Amethyst, Rose Quartz, Chalcedony, Chrysocolla, equipped with air conditioning, overlook the private garden available to our welcome guests.

Small animals are welcome and they will share their space with our friendly dog Slappy.
Free parking space within the property plus public space 50 mt away, next to the bus stop 7A which takes you to Bergamo.
HISTORY: Città Alta is the “Upper City” surrounded by Medieval Walls, with its famous Piazza Vecchia, the old Square, said to be one of the most beautiful Squares of Europe, Saint Mary Major Church, Colleoni Chapel. It is connected to the lower city through the picturesque funicular (cable car) which will take you all the way up to San Vigilio old castle from which you will enjoy the best view of the city and its valleys. Must see in the vicinity: the small town of Almenno San Salvatore with its Romanesque architecture; Cornello dei Tasso where the postal system was born; Lake Iseo.
RELAX: Wonderful walks in the nearby woods; explore the valleys of Bergamo by car or mountain bike via cycling lane.

There are not enough stars to describe the stay at the Ametista B&B except for the one that can be lit in the heart of those who find hospitality, friendliness, empathy, and a comfortable environment, cared for down to the smallest details - like the abundant, rich, and varied breakfast - and that almost seems to unfold great protective wings for those who have the luck and pleasure of staying there. The lady who runs the B&B Ametista is kind, quick, reliable, capable of anticipating and solving needs. The location, a short distance from Bergamo, is very convenient to reach the Upper City, away from traffic even though it's situated on a village street, it is quiet. Room equipped with every comfort, including air conditioning. Excellent and homemade breakfast. Brief delicate and kind conversations.

Our room at B&B Ametista was very clean, the bed quite comfortable. Unfortunately, the bathroom in the room didn't have a door, it is, let's say, next to the entrance of the room and this creates a bit of discomfort. Excellent breakfast, even though in the dining area, at the same table with the other guests, it's a bit tight. The location was not very convenient for us, having to go to Seriate, 8 km away but with quite a bit of traffic, but you are close to the hills and woods. The owner is kind and helpful.

This is a really charming place. The owner Marina gave her heart to make our stay perfect and unforgettable. The room was sweet and homey, even with AC (luckily, as it was a very hot day). The breakfast was really great, and was all hand made by Marina, including delicious cakes (also vegan, by request), jams, fresh fruit from the garden and more. The neighborhood is beautiful and calm. There is a hilly forest nearby, that has many hiking trails with nice views of Bergamo.

Due to delays on flying I arrived later than planned - the host coped with this with no fuss. The host was very focused on making my stay a good one. The room and bathroom were very good and the rate was much less than I expected when I completed the booking - very good value for money. Breakfasts were varied and the host check carefully and provided plenty of food and of high quality. Overall a great place and I will use it again when I visit the town later this year.
