Baubaus House is unique in the originality of its style, a historical building where past and present merge, located in the hamlet of Cuirone in the municipality of Vergiate, in a quiet village surrounded by the greenery of the Ticino Park, 15 km from the international airport of Malpensa and 10 minutes from Lake Maggiore.
For lovers of tranquility away from the city, it is a perfect place for families and for those who want to find the comforts of their home in the places to stay.
On the first floor of the guest house, the apartment is carefully furnished and can accommodate 5 people, has a kitchenette, air conditioning and WIFI, parking is about 30 m away. The large veranda overlooking the surrounding hills is ideal for morning coffee, a glass of wine at sunset and moments of relaxation and overlooks a private internal courtyard. The owner lives opposite in the main house and is always available. A short distance from Baubaus House you will find everything you need to fully satisfy the needs of every traveler and taste typical local products.
The village of Cuirone may seem isolated, but in reality a few minutes by car, from Vergiate or Sesto Calende you can take the direct regional train to the center of Milan, the surrounding places offer the possibility of hiking in the pre-alpine landscapes, enjoying refreshment of the numerous lakes in the area and the nearby Ticino river, visit cities such as Varese and historic and enchanting sites on the eastern shore of Lake Maggiore.

I am a lady who likes good food..
Cuirone was the holiday resort of Giorgio my husband's family for many generations.
We bought our home because it was unique and we have carefully preserved.
We moved here from Milan many years ago and in 1987 we founded a cultural association to treat the memory and preservation of Cuirone and its history.
We had no children, but our house has always welcomed many nephews and friends.
Giorgio had his studio here.
At the top of the atelier has made ??Baubaus House. The name is a play and a long history that was inspired by an exhibition with other friends and artists.
We decided to rent Baubaus House because we like to meet new people who appreciate these simple places. After the death of Giorgio, I turned the atelier in the archive of the works of Giorgio and the association. The Space Giorgio Ostini hosts sometimes works of other artists, so it continues to live with his generous spirit.

Ideale per gli amanti della natura e della tranquillità. Struttura vicinissima al bosco, offre possibilità di bellissime passeggiate fino al lago di Comabbio. La casa è confortevole pur essendo originale. Ottima posizione rispetto al lago di Orta e al lago Maggiore.
La proprietaria è molto accogliente e disponibile.

Miranda was a wonderful host. She has a wonderful knowledge of the area and gave us lots of great advice about where to visit.
The apartment is very unique, being originally a very old barn that has been very sympathetically renovated into the apartment, with an artist studio below that is full of good things to look at.
The bed here was the most comfortable we slept in in Italy!
For those who like to cook, there is everything you need, and there is a supermarket nearby.
The little village of Cuirone is delightful. We love it. There is great pride in the village about what they have. Not being on a thoroughfare also makes this a very peaceful place. You will not hear much English spoken here, except at Cooperativa La Vittoriosa, where a couple of young women do a great job of running it. Be sure to eat here if you have the opportunity.
Miranda has good English, so there was no problem there.
We also loved meeting her friendly little dog Trullo. He is delightful.
We will definitely return.

Qui è possibile trovare quiete ma anche stimolanti racconti. La struttura è confortevole, con angolo cucina ben attrezzato. La definizione "unica nel suo genere" è molto appropriata: ogni angolo rivela il tocco dell'artista! Consigliamo la visita allo Spazio Giorgio Ostini accompagnati dalla signora Miranda.
Cuirone è un piccolo borgo tranquillo e curato, immerso nel verde con persone accoglienti.

Die Wohnung ist toll, die Vermieterin ist super nett und sehr hilfsbereit. Sie gewährt die gewünschte Privatsphäre ist aber jederzeit ansprechbar wenn man Fragen hat. Ein Gespräch ist nicht auf Deutsch möglich sondern nur auf Englisch oder eben Italienisch. Da man dort in einem Dorf lebt, hört man auch mehr oder weniger laut, die dorftypischen Geräusche wie streitende oder telefonierende Nachbarn und viel Hundegebell. Auf ein Auto ist man dort angewiesen. Die Wohnung ist sehr individuell und künstlerisch gestaltet. Das bedeutet aber auch, dass es sehr viele Ecken und Nischen gibt, die sehr schwer zu reinigen sind. Für Hygieniker ist es dort nicht richtig. Fernsehen gibts nicht. Wir mussten uns erst gewöhnen abends wieder zu lesen oder Spiele zu spielen. Die Schlafmöglichkeit unter dem Dachgiebel war romantisch, zum nächtlichen Toilettengang jedoch musste man schon recht wach sein, um sich nicht den Kopf zu stoßen. Fazit: Für Individualisten genau das richtige, für verwöhnte Großstädter mal was anderes, aber empfehlenswert, wenn man meinen obigen Kommentar beachtet. Liebe Frau Ostini.
