Charming walks in the Natural Park of Montevecchia, or on the shores of Adda river that bewitched Leonardo da Vinci and Alessandro Manzoni.

Cernusco Lombardone is a little village in a land called Brianza, whose name ancient old origins. It is very close to Merate and it is situated at the foot of Montevecchia hill, It is far 18 km approx from Lecco and Monza, 20 km from Bergamo, 25 km from Como and 30 km from Milan.

Breakfast with coffee or tea, milk, bread, butter, homemade cakes, jams, and fruit juices made with our fruit from Liliana.

Upon request, we also prepare savory breakfasts with typical local products: Brianza salami, goat or cow cheeses from local farms.

Restaurant

Our cuisine is inspired by the territory, offering products and typical dishes of the local and Lombard tradition, with a touch of creativity to propose a simple and appetizing cuisine. Perfect for a lunch or dinner in the green, to celebrate with taste and joy a recurrence or an event.

We use ingredients of our own production, proposing our menus according to the seasons and with what is daily harvested in the gardens and orchards of our farm and from other companies of the Terrealte Consortium.

I am a 46-year-old agricultural entrepreneur, mother, and cook. I completed my agronomic studies at the State University of Milan, Faculty of Agriculture. I became a mother. I lived in rural, Andean northern Colombia for 3 years. Upon my return in 2011, I started collaborating with a social cooperative in Galbiate, focusing on integrating disadvantaged individuals into the agricultural field for a period of 7 years. Since 2018, I have been working at I Gelsi, an agricultural company in Cernusco Lombardone, and on April 1, 2020, I became a co-owner along with Liliana Rota. Currently, I am responsible for managing the agritourism activities, particularly overseeing the agricultural aspects of the vegetable gardens and orchards. I have also learned how to process our products into preserves, juices, jams, and dishes for our company's restaurant.

“I Gelsi” farmhouse (with Bed and Breakfast formula) is situated inside an ancient farmstead belonging to the XVII century which has been renovated.
It is right in the heart of a natural park in Montevecchia, exactly in the Valle del Curone (Brianza). Here you can enjoy walking, cycling or riding (there are riding tracks in 200meters distance) in this gorgeous area.

A very nice, welcoming and amazing food bed and breakfast. Easy to reach with Google Maps. Rooms are spacious and clean, external space is calm and cozy. Everything you eat there is locally sourced and cooked. 10 stars!
