Our accommodation is placed inside an 18th-century building, perfectly restored in August 2014 recovering the ancient walls and the original details, however equipped with all of the modern comforts, rendering any stay pleasurable and relaxing.
Academia Residence is located in one of Bergamo best strategic points, near Porta Sant’Agostino, main access to the Old Town Venetian Walls, works of defence recognised by UNESCO in July 2017 as World Heritage Site.
Academia Residence is neighbouring the famous Accademia Carrara Museum, the Modern and Contemporary GAMeC Museum and the Museum of Sacred Art Adriano Bernareggi.

Lovely place, really well located to walk to the old city and to catch the bus from the station and to the airport. The staff were really helpful and put up an extra bed in the room.

Wonderful accommodation in a very quiet area very close to the upper city of Bergamo. Impeccable room, comfortable mattress and pillows. Super friendly and attentive staff helped us and showed us the bus schedules to the airport and restaurant recommendations for lunch and dinner. They also allowed us to leave a medication in the room fridge before check-in. If we go back to Bergamo, we will repeat.

Everything great and appreciated the anteroom with washbasin! Only downside on the electrical outlets: missing or inconvenient and the TV (perhaps a bit small) without a pivot for better viewing. Cleanliness and kindness of the staff at the top.

The accommodation is in an interesting position to visit Bergamo. Cute furnishings even if basic and minimal, but the structure does not live up to the prices: the heating of the accommodation was poor and insufficient in winter and the surprise in the morning was not being able to take a hot shower because the water was cold.

Located just a few minutes walk from the Upper Town and the train station, very quiet. The room is spacious and clean. The availability of a kettle and a refrigerator is really convenient. Not far away (just cross the intersection in Borgo Santa Caterina) you can find a small supermarket, but there are also bars and restaurants nearby.
