For ages Cervo, listed among “the most beautiful villages of Italy”, has conserved the character of medieval village on the sea coast protected by its towers and ramparts of 16th century and circled by its green hills. The historical centre, only for pedestrians, has conserved old houses, little pavement alleyways where the artists and artisans workshops are located.
Along the coast there are many little seaside installations, but you can also find very calm areas with beaches and discreet rocks with a free access. The unique sound we can hear there is the sea sound, the limpid sea rich in vegetation, fishes and starfishes.
The village is surrounded on these heights by hills covered by maritime pine-trees and olive woods, where you can discover ancient ruins and go for a walk by silent paths where the air is pure and perfumed. Cervo has remained faithful to the Mediterranean tradition in food: here, the oil is still made according to the old technique of the cold pressure of olives, the wine is produced with the typical vines of the region (pigato and vermentino), the kitchen uses products cultivated in the region and fresh fish of the morning peach. Cervo has also a remarkable cultural heritage: its medieval castle, the old home of Marquis de Clavesana, shelters today temporary exhibitions of art and the permanent Ethnographical Museum of the Ponente Liguria. As regards the cultural events, Cervo is also known thanks to its International Festival of the Chamber music, which attracts for forty years the biggest artists of Europe who offer evening concerts on the charming Church of Corallni Square.
Thanks to the Festival and prestigious Musical Academies Cervo has earned the title of “Village of the Music”. It is on suggestive Square Alassio, at the heart of the village, that our ancient fishermen's) house is located: you will be welcomed by bright reading room by which we can reach three master rooms with bathroom, in different colors and in perfumes: The Orange, The Lavender and The Mediterranean Breeze will welcome you in the scents and the flavors of this enchanted Village.

Recognized as winning immediately as a valid alternative to the usual anonymous hotel, they are defined as "welcoming nests", arousing the interest of national and international newspapers such as: "WHERE" - "La Repubblica" - "La Stampa" - "" Travel and Itineraries "- Nice Matin - Cote Du Sud" - "Modern Woman" - later Accredited by the "Touring Cub" and by the French "Guide Du Routard". Shortly thereafter, important personalities from the world of music, entertainment and various arts were welcomed, passing through Cervo. The Mediterranean Nights were the scene of great loves, some just blossomed, many return every year, that same day, on anniversaries and in the meantime some babies have also been born: -))).

Our house is located in the heart of Cervo, known as the town of music because it has been hosting the International Chamber Music Festival since 1963. The music season runs from April to October. Cervo has been certified as one of the "Most Beautiful Villages in Italy" due to its original medieval village characteristics on the sea, which can only be traversed on foot.
Cervo can be admired within its walls, monuments, ancient palaces, nestled among alleys and small squares. Our house overlooks one of these squares and it will immerse you in the scents and flavors of this enchanted village. A bright reading room welcomes you, and from there you can access the three double bedrooms with colorful and fragrant bathrooms, each one with a different theme: Orange, Lavender and Mediterranean Breeze. During the summer, the clean cliffs and beaches of Cervo welcome sea lovers, while behind it, you can practice sports in the suggestive "Ciapa Park", a lush municipal park overlooking the sea, rich in rare botanical species such as wild orchids.
Located halfway between Nice and Genoa (90 km), where there are 2 important airports. Nearby are Alassio, 12 km away, known for its worldly atmosphere; Sanremo, 30 km away, famous worldwide for its flowers and the Italian Song Festival and Casino; Diano Marina, 4 km away, with its boutiques and beaches; and Imperia, the provincial capital, 10 km away, where our new house is located, precisely in Porto Maurizio, in a historic building already a "Napoleonic prefecture", with a fantastic sea view, not only three double bedrooms, but also triple and quadruple rooms with a fireplace and a breathtaking sea view balcony. The refinement of the details and kindness are the main ingredients in our hospitality philosophy.

In the heart of Cervo, a small but charming village with a splendid view of the sea. Room with all the necessary amenities, heating and hot water are fine. We stayed in the blue room, which was really nice. There was everything we needed. Fabrizio, the owner, helped us with parking and other information for dinner and breakfast. The little treats he leaves in the common room are greatly appreciated: coffee, tea, and especially fresh water. Thank you very much. The only precaution: warn about the steep stairs at the entrance.

Very cosy, peaceful and genuine! Love Le Notti Mediterranee! Cervo is such a magical place! It was a bit too expensive though when there wasn’t so much breakfast included. I liked the pillows, the air conditioner and the cosy view out from the window.

Unfortunately, the room we were assigned overlooked a small street with a building in front. We realized later that it did not correspond to the one shown in the photo overlooking the square, and it was our fault. The structure seemed a bit dated considering the price paid, €120 for one night. The cleanliness was perfect and impeccable, and the managers were very friendly. However, it should be noted that on crowded days there is no available parking and a certain distance needs to be walked.

Invece per il prezzo, se facevate più di una sola notte avreste pagato meno, purtroppo ci è difficile organizzare le singole notti.

Sleeping in the village of Cervo always has its charm, waking up and having breakfast at Ariel with a sea view is priceless. Just like having an aperitif at Lia and Jerry with oil and bread and a good Vermentino. The structure is among the alleys, our room overlooked one of them. I would recommend a small investment in the mattress, really uncomfortable. For the rest, it's okay, for what we paid a good breakfast didn't cost that much... but we are in Liguria. Appreciated the water, coffee, and kettle for teas available in the common area.

Not suitable for persons with a disability or heart condition as 300 steps uphill to the rooms. Refund not provided after he was able to rent our room out again when we left after only 1 night out of an 8 night planned stay so great value for money. Nice clean room and very quaint but advert needs to state the location is high up and you have to climb the steps to get to it.

Unfortunately, the photos of the structure on various online portals are no longer up to date, consequently the difference with the actual situation is very marked, and this fact leaves a 'bitter taste' in the guest's expectations. Much appreciated is the free parking pass throughout the municipality of Cervo.

Very nice place to stay, right in the center of the village, close to all the small shops, bars, and restaurants. The room was cozy and clean with a great view towards the small square below. The host is very kind and was available to welcome us much earlier than previously agreed. The parking voucher provided is of great help.

Fabrizio is a very helpful and smart person. We had booked the "base" room but upon arrival we were pleasantly surprised with an upgrade to a superior one at no extra cost. Great and strategic location to visit the village of Cervo. Highly recommended.

Very nice room, great location (shame about the bells in the morning but they are unavoidable), very kind manager. Excellent value for money. Breakfast not included but this allowed us to discover a fantastic terrace bar, Caffè Ariel.

We stayed one night in the "Mediterranean Breeze" room, what can I say, everything was magnificent! The room is stunning, equipped with a small balcony that overlooks a square that becomes magical in the evening! The room is well taken care of in every detail, and the first sight as you step through the entrance door is also magical! We had a great time and were able to enjoy the tranquility of the place and the beauty of the sky with its moon, toasting with a delicious bottle of prosecco on the balcony of the room. I hope to return soon to relive a romantic and passionate weekend like the one we experienced these days. A special thanks to the availability of Fabrizio, the friendliness of Mrs. Sabrina, with whom we could chat on Saturday evening at the bar, and to the professionalism of the daughter Eva, who directed us to have an excellent breakfast at Bar Ariel, on a terrace with a delightful view of the sea. Cervo is definitely a charming place and the property is well located inside the medieval village and convenient to reach the sea. The aspect on which we express some reservations concerns breakfast; in particular, milk was not provided and there was not even a bottle of water available to guests. However, apart from these slight shortcomings, the judgment can only be positive.
