Description

This characteristic villa is situated in a panoramic position in Levanto, in the beautiful area of Cinque Terre. Nestled among the greenery of olive trees and vineyards, the house offers spacious and well-furnished rooms with a bathroom, TV, minibar, air conditioning, and some with sea views. A romantic terrace provides the opportunity for a tasty and rich buffet breakfast and will delight you with a splendid view in the evenings. Guests can also enjoy a characteristic tavern with stone walls, a large living room with a TV, a breakfast room with a fireplace, and a garden. It is an extremely suggestive and peaceful place where time seems to have stopped and everything around speaks of history, nature, and flavors.

Charming property, lovely view, fantastic warm croissants in the morning, and the rest of breakfast was equally wonderful (eggs, meats, cheeses, fruits, yogurt, cereals, etc.). Carlo is an excellent host and gave us good information about Levanto and Cinque Terre. That being said, always do your homework. We had a few rainy days and some trails and train stations were closed. Apparently the 30-minute easy hike 'Lovers' Walk' is often closed. We still had a great time and saw a lot - even with the crazy rain! Two small caveats: the internet is not great. We often could get wifi only in the lounge, and even then it was slow and we often could not get a signal. Also, the property is on a hill with a sloped walkway and some slippery stairs, so if you have mobility issues, this might not be the place for you. It is a great value for the area. Comfy bed, great shower, quiet, lovely terrace, and we had a view of the olive groves down to the oceanside of Levanto. 12-minute drive into Levanto—we took the boat and the train to visit the towns of Cinque Terre. It was too rainy to use the pool, but it was lovely! We would definitely go back!

Perfect place to plan your Cinque Terre tour from here. Spectacular view, nice pool, great breakfasts, helpful and friendly host. As a bonus you will get a special parking permit to Levanto, which is an exceptional perk.

A pleasure to meet all the hosts. The setting is beautiful, silent, immersed in the countryside with a view of the sea. Great terrace with a view of the sea for having a varied and good breakfast. I had a very happy stay.

Splendid location overlooking Levanto from above. Located in a charming small village. Good breakfast. We had a problem with the air conditioner and the room was really too hot. The stay was still pleasant!

Beautiful, quiet location with a great view of the bay. Rooms are large, clean, and well equipped. Very good and rich breakfast. Extremely attentive hosts.\n\nWe felt very good in the B&B and would go back anytime.

B&B absolutely beautiful, great location for those who want to see the Cinque Terre on foot or by train; also do the trek from Levanto to Monterosso passing through Punta Mesco. Carlo and Francesco are very hospitable and very friendly; they provide all the information you need for trekking, the sea, and much more. The breakfast is delicious; all homemade, fresh, and varied every day. The rooms are very clean, spacious, and nicely furnished. The nearby village, Bonassola, is very small but nice and has a beautiful beach. We will definitely return.

We wanted to stay just outside of Levanto for some peace and quiet, but also be able to access the Cinque Terre easily, and L'Antico Borgo was the perfect spot for us. It's tucked away in the little village of Dosso, about 10 minutes drive to Levanto, with free parking in the village parking lot and also a parking permit for town. There is a short steepish slope and a few steps from the car park to the B&B. The B&B is run by Carlo and his excellent team of staff, everyone was friendly, informative, professional and helpful. Francesco is in charge of making all the goodies for breakfast - there were always 2 savoury flans and at least 5 or 6 different cakes, flans, muffins or biscuits on rotation! There were also 3 kinds of cereal, yoghurt, cheese and cold cut (4 kinds) platter, super sweet melon and all sorts of fruit in season, fresh Roman tomato, mixed beans salad, eggs any way, and freshly brewed coffee - be it cappuccino, latte or just black, hot chocolate, and at least half a dozen varieties of tea. Breakfast was the highlight for us, as it would sustain us until the end of each day's hike. When you come back after the workout, a clean bathroom, comfortable bed, well stocked mini bar, cable TV, consistent wifi connection, and in our case, air-conditioning all helped us to chill out and relax. There's great music playing in the terrace which offered a breathtaking view of Levanto, and the staff were happy to make us a cuppa in the evenings. Laundry service is also available for a fee. Carlo recommended a great (and ridiculously cheap) restaurant in the next village of Lavaggioroso, where we gorged ourselves on a hearty meal made from local produce. We congratulated ourselves each and every day we stayed there how lucky we were to have found this gem, and we thank the staff whole-heartedly for their hospitality. P.S. for those who want to surf the Ligurian sea, Carlo and Francesco are your go-to men!
