The Secret Garden
Hello! We're Barbara and Marco, and we welcome you to the Secret Garden. We
truly hope you'll spend some magical moments with us, enjoying these
beautiful mountains and the sea. Nearby, you can enjoy magnificent hikes,
intrepid mountain bike rides, or exciting climbs, or simply relax on a lounge
chair or hammock and read a good book. From here, you can reach the most
beautiful beaches of Finale and Varigotti in just a few minutes. You can enjoy
excellent dinners and aperitifs both here in town and in beautiful Finalborgo and
the other seaside districts of Finalmarina, Finalpia, and Varigotti, all the way to
Noli, Spotorno, and Bergeggi. Here, you're in the heart of the Whale Sanctuary.
Take advantage of the opportunity to go sailing or canoeing and go WHALE
WHATCHING!
It's a precious privilege to have these beautiful, ancient villages so close to
each other, with their castles, history, and this immense natural setting that
pampers you with fireflies and cicadas in the evening. You'll have the
opportunity to see wonderful views and panoramas—don't miss them!
I don't know if you know, but from Easter until late autumn, you can enjoy a
wealth of cultural and gastronomic events, from theater to concerts, from the
open-air museum of Finale Ligure to the caves of Borgio Verezzi and Toirano,
and the forts and castles (we even have three here, four with Noli!), as well as
countless festivals in all the surrounding towns and villages. Check out the
programs and opening hours.

Places to visit nearby:
As a starting point, you could go for a swim in the nearby river, where you'll find
beautiful pools with natural hydromassage! If you head up the Carbuta stream,
you'll find some beautiful spots to relax. Always close to us, a little further up towards Rialto, are the blue dragonfly
lakes—definitely worth a visit!
And here we are! Finally, Finalborgo with its castles, cloisters, archaeological
museum, theater, shows at Forte San Giovanni, restaurants, and shops of all
kinds, from food and wine to clothing and sporting goods. But don't miss the
artisans of Finalborgo (there are more than 10!) who offer unique, strictly
handmade objects, which is precisely the brand you'll find in their windows.

…. Returning to the desire for the SEA… what you can find by heading towards
the coast a few kilometers from here are the splendid beaches of Finalmarina,
Finalpia, and Varigotti. Don't forget to take a look or make a more in-depth visit
to beautiful Castelfranco, overlooking the sea right between Finalpia and Final
Marina, which also has a very impressive program (see link).
…AND THEN…
The caves of Borgio Verezzi and Verezzi (in the summer, you can enjoy the
beautiful theater festival performances in the main square).

The caves of Toirano, Noli with its castle, towers, and beaches, and then… all
you have to do is come and discover the beauty of these places for yourself!

Our Secret Garden…
We've tried to make this place as enjoyable as possible for you, even if you're
coming from far away and have nothing but your personal belongings. You'll
find everything you need for your vacation. If you'd like, you can also read the
books we've provided for you, which we ask you to put back where they belong
when you leave so those who come after you can enjoy them further. You'll be
able to use both the private and common areas of this house, which we love
dearly. We've put a lot of effort into making your stay comfortable. If you need
anything in particular, or something we've forgotten, just send us a message
and we'll do our best to accommodate you.
Plus!!!
We've also decided to leave a guitar available for guests to enjoy under the
stars and make friends with the other guests, creating a wonderful atmosphere
and offering you a memorable stay. Her name is JOAN. Please take care of her;
we're sure she'll accompany you on pleasant evenings. So, if you can play,
please come forward!
(Always remember that you're in the middle of town with other houses!) : -)
If you'd like to turn on the ambient lights outside in the garden, we're happy to
do so (the outlet is near the washhouse) because they'll be a wonderful
addition to your evenings. However, we ask that you unplug them before going
to bed.
The light at the front of the house will turn on at night and turn off at first light.
Other outdoor lights will turn on as you pass by, others are timed and turn on
with a button and off after 5 minutes, allowing you to climb the stairs to the last
apartment. Others on your terrace will be autonomous and under your control.
Turn them off if you're not using them; you'll be helping us and the
environment!
The garden is open to everyone, so we ask you not to monopolize the tables,
loungers, and hammocks, but to let everyone enjoy this beautiful spot. Your
terraces have tables and loungers for your exclusive use, so we wish you a
wonderful stay at the "Giardino Segreto" in Calice Ligure.
