The design of the property

Description

We are a small family-run bed and breakfast with three charming rooms, decorated in a simple but very carefully curated style, equipped with private bathrooms, heating, air conditioning, hairdryers, TV, small fridge, electric kettle for tea, and of course, bed linen and towels.

The rooms are located above our family restaurant, which was built in the 1960s and later expanded, offering traditional Ligurian cuisine with both meat and fish dishes. The restaurant's opening days can be found on our website.

Breakfast is served at the restaurant and can be booked directly here.

The rooms have a separate entrance from the restaurant to offer privacy and convenience to our guests.

We are located in the hillside village of Ranzi, just steps away from hiking trails for nature lovers, but also close to the beautiful beaches of the coast, only a 10-minute drive away.

It is easily accessible by car, from the A10 motorway exit at Pietra Ligure. At the first roundabout, turn left immediately and keep left following the signs for Ranzi, it's just 3 km away.

Breakfast is the classic Italian and is served at our restaurant everyday, except on Wednesday.

We offer tea, coffee or cappuccino, homemade cake, bread, butter and jam, brioche, yogurt and fruit juice. It is not buffet style.

IL CAPANNO offers its customers the typical dishes of the Ligurian tradition: a cuisine made with simple and genuine ingredients. The ingredients come directly from family gardens and fields: first and foremost, aromatic herbs, which give so much flavor to the dishes, but also, and above all, vegetables (tomatoes, zucchini, "trombette", artichokes, eggplants, etc.) and the most genuine, strictly extra virgin olive oil. But also ingredients from the farmyard, rabbits, poultry, and snails, and from the sea, always fresh fish and shellfish.

Wonderful place, a large, clean, and very pleasant room with a large balcony overlooking the sea. It is perfect. I recommend the restaurant, which was also a very nice surprise.

Breathtaking sea view, great location for a peaceful stay but just a few minutes by car from the beaches. Breakfast for payment (unusual for a B&B) not too abundant and mediocre for the 8 euros paid per person. Courtesy could be improved but otherwise nothing to say.

Very spacious and very clean room, balcony with a great view! High levels of staff kindness! There is also a restaurant, the food is very good and they are equipped for gluten-free (top for me, as I am celiac!).

We stayed one night, choosing this property because it's outside the chaos of the center but a ten-minute drive from the sea. It is in a position with a spectacular view that can be admired both from the terrace where the abundant and tasty breakfast is served, and from the room with a balcony overlooking the sea. The room is extremely clean, spacious, and tastefully furnished, nothing is missing. The managers were all very helpful, kind, and friendly. We would have liked to try the restaurant as well, but the evening we stayed it was closed for a rest day, but we could enjoy the breakfast and we appreciated it very much! Absolutely recommended and if we happen to be in the area, we will definitely come back.

Breathtaking view, three brand new and comfortable rooms, staff as well as owners available and kind, the structure is very comfortable given the heat of this summer, away from the crowded streets of the center, the huge and brand new room. Il Capanno has few rooms available but if you are lucky enough to book, you will have a great stay, known as a restaurant, with its sea view terraces, even the rooms are equipped with every comfort, we also had the opportunity to dine at the restaurant, and I must say we ate well, simple without many frills but good food well cooked fresh fish, very kind and helpful staff, an experience definitely to be repeated. We arrived by motorcycle, we sent the luggage, there were no problems of any kind, a welcoming family atmosphere all excellent.

We stayed for a week in the Stella Maris room, air-conditioned and composed of an independent entrance, a large double bedroom with minibar and wardrobe, a splendid bathroom with a large shower and a French door, all brand new! But above all, a large terrace all to ourselves, from which you could see a fabulous view of the entire bay. Truly unique! We found the room spacious and spotlessly clean. At Il Capanno, being first and foremost a good restaurant, it offers a good selection of typical Ligurian dishes. Very good and at the right price...Even though the noise from the restaurant lasted until late, the French doors were insulating and you couldn't hear anything! The parking for the rooms is behind the restaurant, and it is really convenient and close to unload the luggage without climbing stairs. Very kind entire family who runs Il Capanno, even for small requests and advice (tourist card for free bus rides). It is located near the highway exit, in Ranzi, very convenient to move to nearby towns without encountering the August traffic of the Litonaea S1! We were really satisfied.

I stayed at 'Il Capanno' with my whole family, we booked all three available rooms. The rooms have a separate entrance from the restaurant, making them independent from the rest of the structure. The view from the balconies is truly spectacular, the rooms are very clean, each equipped with a private bathroom with all the amenities, truly a pleasant experience also made so by the availability and courtesy of the staff. We hope to return soon! Highly recommended.

Stayed in the room without a sea view. Minimal furniture, very simple but complete, tidy, clean, and comfortable. Excellent reception, courtesy, and availability, as well as breakfast. Ideal location if you have a car: on the hill, cool, away from the chaos of the seafront, great view. Would come back without a doubt.
