Description
Everyone is familiar with the Riviera. The Ligurian Riviera, the Riviera of Flowers. Here, flowers and nature create an untouched Mediterranean atmosphere, ready to welcome you. Just a short distance from everything, yet surrounded by endless greenery, among mimosa trees, eucalyptus, chestnuts, and pines. This is Camping delle Rose. A dream for your holidays in close contact with nature, nestled in a picturesque valley of western Liguria.
It’s peaceful and relaxing, yet only 12 km from the sea, around thirty kilometers from the Principality of Monaco, and a little further from Nice Airport, as well as 20 km from San Remo. Centrally located in the tourist world, but in a discreet and surprising way.
The camping's distinctive feature is its specialization in providing guests with a high level of quality, with mobile homes equipped with every amenity. It also excels at offering spacious and comfortable areas for tents, campers, and caravans.
The campsite has a life of its own: it is family-run, and you will always encounter the people responsible for each activity. There is a large social gathering space, including a bar and, most importantly, a swimming pool, sunbathing area, children's space, and evening entertainment during the high season (July-August), ensuring a restful environment suitable for families. A playground, a pizzeria with a wood-fired oven, and a shop are also available, making it feel just like a real Ligurian village.
The communal facilities are ample, featuring a laundry area and even a barbecue space. You will never be bored, as there is plenty of vitality outside the campsite: events of all kinds, whether cultural or gastronomic, opportunities to experience the surrounding nature through walks and guided tours, a bike path stretching from nearby Dolceacqua to infinity, and many charming Ligurian villages to explore. And everywhere you go, a varied, delicious, Mediterranean cuisine awaits, light and colorful. High-quality wines, rich in maritime character, complete the experience. All the ingredients for an unforgettable holiday.

I was born in Bordighera and currently live in Isolabona, where I manage the Delle Rose accommodation, established by my parents back in 1969.
The history of Camping delle Rose dates back to 1969 when my mother Flora and my father Pinuccio, having inherited the lands of the Prati di Goutè from my grandfather Peitavino Fortunato, decided that this area was perfect for setting up a campsite. The location is surrounded by lush and pristine Mediterranean vegetation, a characteristic that remains to this day. It is also said that this place is where mountain air meets sea air, which explains the pleasant summer climate typical of the campsite. In fact, my grandfather Fortunato, a naturalist and pioneer of modern theories regarding the benefits of contact with nature, specifically chose this site to establish a children's colony, allowing them to enjoy fresh air and healthy food.

The western Ligurian region offers a captivating landscape where the sea meets medieval villages, hilly terrains, and vibrant traditions. From the accommodation, one can easily visit places like Dolceacqua, famous for the Doria Castle and the charming donkey-back bridge painted by Monet, Apricale, recognized as one of the Most Beautiful Villages in Italy, and Triora, known for its witch-related history and the unique ambiance of its ancient town center.
For those wanting to spend some time by the sea, Ventimiglia and the Calandre beach are accessible, featuring a small sandy oasis with a natural feel, clear waters, and shallow areas suitable for children. It’s a perfect spot for a stroll and a peaceful break just a short walk from the coast.
This area is also appealing for market enthusiasts and those who appreciate local products. The Thursday market in Bordighera and the Friday market in Ventimiglia are both worth visiting, known for their variety of goods, lively atmosphere, and local specialties.
