Description

You will be welcomed in a flat that used to be home to a large family: Bin and Ban have lived here with 5 of their children since 1972. The penthouse of a six-stores block built in the end of 50's, is surrounded by some 200 m2 of terrace, with access from each room and used, in the warm weather, to start the day with a delicious breakfast, or to relax, after a walk in the town centre.

You will be welcomed by people grown up in a large family, brought up to respect each and everyone’s needs, a family where it was not difficult to add the classic “posto a tavola” (a place – or places! - at the family meal) for our friends and guests to enjoy the traditional Ligurian cooking and the recipes imported from other Italian regions and indeed the world.

Anna was truly the most wonderful and accommodating host. She made my time in Genoa so special and I am greatly blessed to have met such a kind soul. The breakfast was marvellous with yogurt, fresh fruits, and baked goodies. The view from the balcony was jaw dropping. The sun set at 9 p.m. in the summer which made it so pleasant to sit out on the balcony and watch it set over the buildings. The room and bathroom were clean and comfortable. For an extra fee, you can have air conditioning, but you are supplied with a fan which was quiet and worked wonders. The bathroom has soap, body wash, and a lavender shampoo. For those with limited mobility, you can take a taxi, but know that the home is on a big hill and there will be stairs. Be prepared to walk. Up the hill there is a Coop and some local restaurants (about a 7-minute walk). The location is very close to the old town and you can get there very easily. Anna also sends directions to the home from the station that will get you there faster than what Google Maps suggests. Overall, a wonderful stay. Thank you so much, Anna.

The property is located near Genova Brignole station, so very convenient for those who need to travel and get around inside and outside Genoa (train/metro), with the historic center easily reachable on foot. The room I stayed in was very spacious and very bright, with a private bathroom and access to the shared terrace, with a spectacular view especially at sunset. The cherry on the cake is Anna, the hostess, always very kind, helpful and available for any eventuality. She allowed me to leave my backpack before check-in and then waited for me in the afternoon to welcome me to her splendid home. We had the chance to talk at length and there is an almost familiar atmosphere, as if you were really at home (as a B&B should be, without sterile automatic check-ins and invisible hosts!). I highly recommend it to anyone traveling to Genoa, even for short stays. The only "inconvenience" is that the house is located at the top of a hill, so it may not be very easy for elderly people or those with reduced mobility, especially on very hot days. Otherwise 10/10.

We really liked this B&B. The view of the city and the sea is beautiful, and you can admire it from the large private terrace. The room and the bathroom were both clean and very comfortable. Anna welcomed us warmly and made sure we had everything we needed. The location is convenient, a short walk from Brignole station, but there are steep streets. We will definitely return to this peaceful retreat in the heart of Genoa.

Mrs. Anna welcomes her guests with great kindness and courtesy, providing her home with clean and welcoming rooms. The terrace is located in a fantastic position to enjoy a wonderful sunset over the city, we enjoyed this while sipping a good Ligurian wine. The breakfast is varied and abundant with plenty of fresh fruit. We will definitely return to visit her and have already recommended the location to friends.

The structure is located about ten minutes on foot from the Brignole station. The city center can be reached on foot, or you can use the subway and urban buses. The BnB is located at the top of a couple of slopes, which are not too strenuous. The rooms are located inside a beautiful apartment on the top floor, surrounded by a veranda from which one enjoys a wonderful view of the city. The room I stayed in is small but suitable for a short stay. The bathroom is well equipped and very clean. Ms. Anna is extremely kind and welcoming, ready to assist her guests. Recommended.

I stayed in this accommodation with my family to spend a few days in Genoa. As soon as we arrived, the splendid Mrs. Anna welcomed us and immediately made us feel at ease. The fantastic view from the terrace, being a penthouse, immersed us in the heart of the city. The apartment is impeccably clean and is a few minutes' walk from Brignole station, or you can call a taxi that arrives in 3 minutes. What about the breakfast, super abundant and composed of typical products or, if there are special needs, other options can be requested. Lovely and helpful Mrs. Anna, who is a splendid hostess, to whom I extend my thanks for the wonderful holiday.

I really enjoyed my stay at Bin & Ban! Outstanding hospitality, with a great hearty breakfast! The room was even more beautiful than in the pictures, with a sublime view of Genoa from the balcony! The apartment is only a 10-15 minute walk from Brignole station, which easily connects to the center via metro or bus, but also Genova Nervi, Portofino, Sestri Levante, and even the Cinque Terre (about 1h30 by train). Even on foot, you can be in the center in just 15-20 minutes. And a bit more for the return, as you have to climb a bit to get to Bin & Ban. But honestly, it's okay! I highly recommend it! A huge thank you to Anna!

Bin & Ban located in a strategic area, close to Brignole station and bus stops. Being in Sesto Piena, as soon as you step out onto the balcony/veranda, you have a wonderful view over the whole of Genoa. And last but not least, the hospitality, care, and friendliness of the owner should be mentioned. Highly recommended.

Kindness, courtesy, and friendliness of the owner, Mrs. Anna, together with the cleanliness and hygiene of the premises are undoubtedly the strengths of this Bin & Ban, which greatly contribute to making the stay extremely enjoyable. Not to be underestimated is the proximity to the Genova Brignole train station, from which you can easily take a large number of buses as well as the metro (thanks to this latter line, you can reach the Genova Aquarium in less than 10 minutes). Last but not least, the very valuable advice that the very skilled Mrs. Anna provides regarding places to visit, itineraries to follow, tourist destinations, restaurants, etc. A really great place to spend a few days in a city full of history and charm, as well as many gastronomic delights. Highly recommended and recommended!

We had a wonderful time at Bin & Ban which felt like home to us. Anna is very kind and welcoming and provided us with great recommendations on restaurants or places to visit. The rooms are decorated with care and have access to the terrace where you have a stunning view over the city. Furthermore, our room had its own bathroom, air conditioning, and a very comfortable bed. The b&b is located in a quiet, well-kept area and the old town and the port can easily be reached by walking along a scenic route. The Brignole train station can also be easily reached on foot (no railway noise pollution in the apartment), which is a big advantage because from there you can take trains or buses to the seaside (Cinque Terre, Nervi, Boccadasse). The highlight is certainly the rich breakfast on the terrace with a view over Genoa. In summary, we had a great time and hope to return soon.

Strategic location to reach the aquarium and the historic center of Genoa (15/20 minutes on foot through streets with nice little restaurants and shops). The family room is very spacious, very comfortable beds, everything is very clean. The shared bathroom was not a problem, Mrs. Anna also provided detergents for a possible additional DIY cleaning (even though there was never a need). Very abundant and always different breakfast, homemade sweets, fruit, yogurt, jam, honey and Genoese focaccia. We greatly appreciated the availability of Mrs. Anna who suggested where to eat, what to see, and how to reach the various places of our interest. It was a very positive experience and we felt at home.

Absolutely recommended! We stayed at this Bin & Ban with our 3 and 8 year old daughters. Unfortunately, we only stayed one night, but we will remember it for a long time because the welcome from Mrs. Anna was splendid and her recommendations on what to do, where to dine, and where to find good ice cream were extremely valuable. It is located in a very beautiful and quiet residential neighborhood at night, just a short walk from Brignole station and also convenient to the center (the aquarium, our main destination, is reachable with a half-hour walk). Sharing the bathroom with the other guest did not create any problems, and having breakfast together was a very pleasant convivial moment. Breakfast is rich and abundant, and the Genoese focaccia was the best of all those tried in those two days! We will have to come back. For those who, like us, travel with young children, we recommend bringing a stroller, because being out all day covers a lot of ground!

Cozy and splendid house. A heartfelt thanks to Anna, delightful and attentive in hospitality, who knows how to create a family atmosphere immediately, "feeling at home". Starting the day admiring Genova from the terrace, kissed by the first sun, is a great emotion and the soul smiles. Delicious breakfasts like no other, with Ligurian flavors and more. Excellent location that allows you to reach Brignole train station and the city center on foot in a few minutes. Highly recommended!

Very nice place with a breathtaking view over the whole Genoa. Bin & Ban is located on the top floor of an apartment building (the elevator works very well) and from all rooms there is access to a beautiful terrace, from which there is a stunning view over the entire city. The room and bathroom were clean and spacious. The owner is very kind and helpful. For the trip to the city center (about 20 minutes on foot) she provided us with a map and showed all the important places. An excellent breakfast is served on the terrace. We definitely recommend.

Anna is really the perfect host, I didn't miss anything during my stay in her wonderful flat, I felt so comfortable in my room with this unique view over Genoa from my terrace. Great find. The Bin & Ban is run by Anna who is kind, caring, and discreet. The rooms are spacious and comfortable. From the terrace, there is a fantastic view of the city and the plants and the sun are no less. Well-organized breakfast for a pleasant morning. Definitely worth going back!

A good Bin & Ban for cleanliness, location, and the hospitality of the lady who runs it. The bathroom is clean and shared with other guests, but there were no issues with accessibility at any time. The abundant breakfast is served on a nice terrace with a pretty good view of all of Genoa. Very close to Brignole station, and a 10-15 minute walk to the city center. Maybe not very suitable for those with children in strollers, due to the uphill/downhill roads connecting it to the center, but still in a great location.

Excellent property, in a location that offers a splendid view of the city. Mrs. Anna was very good, never lacking in friendliness, availability, and human warmth. One of the few Bed & Breakfasts where there was a 'family' atmosphere, both during the happy moments of shared breakfast with other guests, and in the relationship with the manager and family members who made me feel not like a customer but like 'one of them'. Also pleasant the breakfast, where you can enjoy a good selection of various delicacies and, worth mentioning, the latte prepared by Mrs. Anna better than at the bar. Bed & Breakfast highly recommended!

I stayed for leisure. The place is really beautiful (large terrace with breathtaking views of the entire city), and the location of the B&B allows you to always move around on foot. In 15 minutes or a little more, you can reach the old port and the splendid aquarium of Genoa. The very kind and extremely helpful Mrs. Anna makes you feel like you are "at home". Do not miss her wonderful cappuccino. I also received excellent suggestions on how to get around the city and how to reach various destinations. Excellent value for money.

I stayed for three days (March 2013) for work reasons. The place is really beautiful (large terrace with breathtaking views of the entire city), and the location of the B&B allows you to move around on foot. In fifteen minutes you can reach the historic center and in ten minutes you can reach the Brigonle train station. However, the real highlight is the owner of the B&B, Mrs. Anna, who welcomes you in a really warm way and makes you feel at home. Mrs. Anna was truly impeccable, with her polite and reserved attention, complete availability, and her "human warmth". I also received excellent suggestions on how to get around the city and how to reach various destinations. I am really very happy with my stay and having met a person like Mrs. Anna. A place where I absolutely have to return.
