Description

In the apartment where William Butler Yeats lived from 1928-30, our guests can enjoy the beautiful view of the gulf. Two spacious rooms with parquet floors, double bed, television, sofa, large wardrobe, one of the rooms has air conditioning, complete the rooms with two bathrooms for the exclusive use of our guests.

The shared space consists of the breakfast area, offering a rich organic delicacies that will be served at the agreed time by our guests. There is also the relaxation area with a sofa and a library. Located between Genoa and La Spezia, our guests can relax in the tranquility of our structure and at the same time easily reach all the attractions of the Levante (Portofino, Santa Margherita Ligure, Paraggi, Cinque Terre, Genoa, Aquarium, etc.) in a short time, either by their own means (large free parking at the entrance of the port), by bus (stop below the B&B), by ferry (3 minutes on foot), or by train (5 minutes on foot).

The stay with Mrs. Matilde was excellent. Beautiful house and very welcoming room. I will definitely come back. I only suggest a fan or air conditioning as we approach summer so as not to keep the window open and avoid noise.

A charming place just a stone's throw from the center and the seafront of Rapallo. The rooms exude charm and history. Beautifully maintained with personality. The owner, Matilde, is a very kind, friendly, and intelligent person. Upon request, she will become an excellent storyteller. Mrs. Matilde is very kind and at the same time discreet. Room in an ancient building in a very central area. Clean environments. Very kind landlady, hospitable, attentive, and available. The lack of private parking is the only downside, given the considerable difficulty in finding it in the area, but this is a general problem of the place. If I had to pass through Rapallo again for a short stop, I would return.

We came to Rapallo, my friend and I, around the beginning of August and we were lucky to find this B&B Frisenda and we feel we can say that nowadays there are few of this kind. The owner was very kind and helpful right away and also recommended places to see in the area. The rooms are well-kept, very beautiful and cozy, as well as the bathroom. What we found spectacular, besides the view from the large windows of the beautiful house, is the breakfast: incredible and exquisite. Unfortunately, we only stayed one night, but if we were to come back to the area, we would definitely come here, so we highly recommend it!

My husband and I stayed one night at the property, excellent welcome from the owner Matilde. The B&B is in a great location, close to the station; even though our room overlooked the street (4th floor), we managed to rest well, without being bothered by traffic. There is an elevator. Impeccable cleanliness, very spacious room as well as the bathroom. Nothing is missing. Rich breakfast with homemade jams and sweets! Highly recommended!

Clean and comfortable room, located just steps away from everything (train station, main bus stop, city center, and sea). The manager, Mrs. Matilde, makes the difference. An exquisite lady as much as the breakfast you will find! Homemade cakes and jams, with a stunning view. I recommend the room and will gladly return.

Mrs. Matilde is a splendid host! She assigned us a very large room (both rooms are actually), already perfectly organized to accommodate us and our 2-year-old baby. The bathroom is also spacious, well-equipped, and very clean. The location is not very central but very convenient to reach the city center and the beaches on foot. But the real plus points are the hospitality of the "kind lady" (as defined by our little one) and the breakfast: nothing was missing, from the focaccia to the homemade cake. Highly recommended!

Great location with supermarket, pharmacy, and bars just a few steps away, good cleanliness, very kind and hospitable owner! The breakfast included, among the many products, also homemade jams and muffins made by the owner. There is no on-site parking but you can park your car in the free parking lots a few meters away.

Highly recommended B&B both because it is located in the city center and for the wonderful Mrs. Matilde: an extraordinary woman who pampered us from the first day. Of a unique sweetness, extreme availability, and courtesy. The blue room has a very comfortable bed, a large wardrobe, a TV, bedside tables with plugs and USB devices to recharge phones. Perfect cleanliness. Private and very spacious toilet, equipped with everything including a hairdryer and soft and clean towels. The gem is breakfast: you never finish eating, from local focaccia to Mrs. Matilde's genuine and carefully crafted jams, and much more. Close to the sea, the center, and bus stops for S. Michele, S. A gem in Rapallo! B&B Frisenda very nice, well-kept, and very clean. The owner is very friendly, nice, and helpful. Breakfast delicious and plentiful. The location of the property is strategic for everything: to go to the beach in Rapallo, to go for a walk in the center, to go to the station or to take a bus or the boat to reach other towns. Our room had a beautiful view of the coast of Rapallo. The only flaw is that the window overlooked the street, so at night you could hear the noise of the cars (a problem that can be solved by changing the fixtures in favor of new ones that better soundproof the room and also by installing air conditioning). In conclusion, my friend and I are very satisfied with our choice and if we were to return to Rapallo we would definitely choose this property again.

Splendid B&B in a central position in Rapallo (tourist port area, right side of the river) in true Ligurian style. Enormous pink room, fresh and welcoming, perhaps slightly noisy due to the very busy street below. Private bathroom, just outside the room, equally large and clean. Breakfast served in the large hall by the very kind Mrs. Matilda who every day made us find homemade sweets and jams (special mention for the apricot one), fresh focaccia, seasonal fruit, yogurt, and fruit juices. It was very pleasant to have a chat every morning with the landlady, always attentive to our every need. If we were to return to Rapallo, we would not hesitate to book this excellent structure again.

The owner, Mrs. Matilde, is extremely kind, very helpful for advice and information about the area. The B&B Frisenda is in a strategic location just steps from the promenade and historic center of Rapallo, a 10-minute walk from Rapallo train station and on the way to Santa Margherita. The beach of San Michele di Pagana can be easily reached on foot. Free parking can be found at the marina or on Viale Milano.

More than positive experience. We spent one night in this establishment, located in the center of Rapallo. The building is ancient and elegant, the house furnished with extreme taste and attention to details. Excellent cleanliness, spacious areas, peace, and tranquility. The breakfast is plentiful, based on organic and genuine products, homemade by the very kind Mrs. Matilde, who made us feel at home and treated us in the best way. Nice house, clean, stylishly furnished, relaxing. Convenient location to visit Rapallo, Santa Margherita, and Portofino. On the 4th floor with an elevator but you can hear the intense traffic from the main road even at night, but it's expected if you choose this area. Large, very tidy, very clean room. Very convenient bathroom outside the room but it's not a problem. Comfortable, functional shower, and very hot, something that is not always found in many highly rated hotels. Hospitality like at home, very kind and helpful lady. Very good breakfast with exceptional genuine jams and a cappuccino made as it should be and very hot. Two 'flaws' in my opinion that can be remedied: the sofa bed is uncomfortable and would require a higher mattress otherwise you can feel the iron underneath (the bed, on the other hand, is very comfortable); the door of the room is too noisy especially at night and should be fixed or replaced like the one in the bathroom, which instead works very well. Excellent location, as the building is located very close to the promenade and the center of Rapallo. Simple but very clean room. The owner is very kind and helpful. The breakfast is also very good with fresh and homemade products. The only flaw (but this is subjective and I absolutely don't want to blame anyone) is that the street where the building is located is very busy and can cause disturbances during the night rest. In any case, I recommend the structure and I would go back myself if I had to return to the area.

I stayed with my mom for the June 2nd long weekend, B&B Frisenda very nice inside, the room tastefully furnished, excellent breakfast. The lady was very nice and friendly, willing every day to advise us on where to go and what to see (Sestri Levante, the boat to get to S. Fruttuoso and then Camogli). We will definitely come back!

I confirm the reviews I had read before leaving: the B&B Frisenda is in a beautiful building in the center of Rapallo, close to the sea; spacious and very clean room and bathroom; excellent and abundant organic breakfast and the owner is really nice and pleasant.

The hostess is very pleasant and is happy to provide information for questions (excursions in the area). The rooms are large, clean, bright, and there is also a common room, everything is tastefully decorated. Both rooms have a private bathroom (these are also well furnished). The breakfast is good, especially the cappuccino! Rapallo is ideally located for excursions in both directions - Portofino and the surrounding area and Cinque Terre. Everything is also accessible by public transport.

What can I say about B&B Frisenda? It would take some time to comment on our holidays at the house of the owner, Mrs. Matilde, but I will try to be brief: availability, cleanliness, the desire to pamper her guests with abundant and tasty breakfasts, but above all courtesy. We stayed for a week, while the desire would have been to stay for a month. Highly recommended also for quality-price. Excellent location in front of the Riva port: any destination is reachable on foot, by bus, boat or train. Greetings and again thanks to Mrs. Matilde, also from my son.

In summary: the owner is polite and helpful, good breakfast with first quality organic products, new rooms, well furnished and very clean, equally new and clean services, the location of B&B Frisenda is central, just a few steps from the port where there is ample parking. The only drawback or limitation, if you can say so, is not having the house keys, so you always have to buzz or call the owner (at any hour), limiting your freedom of movement somewhat. Overall rating 7.5.

Everything is excellent, from the central location with a sea view to the comfortable and clean room. There is a large room with a big balcony where you will find a fantastic organic breakfast. The hostess is impeccable in her kindness. We had a nice weekend in Rapallo and San Fruttoso, easily reachable by boat due to the convenient location. What can I say, go there.

An unforgettable weekend! As soon as we left for our return, we already wanted to go back to Frisenda. The bedroom is very large, the breakfast is abundant, all strictly organic. It is located in a strategic position, just 10 minutes from the renowned Portofino and Santa Margherita Ligure. Less than half an hour from the magical Camogli. The same Rapallo is very beautiful. The B&B Frisenda manages to combine the historical aspect of the place with the most modern comforts of our times, but the true soul of this B&B is the hostess, with a unique availability, a courtesy that is hard to find. In short, you will feel pampered from start to finish. So, a stay that we recommend to anyone who wants to visit these breathtaking places.
